Story
Meet Gemma!Gemma is a sweet, active little girl searching for a loving home where she can share plenty of cuddles. Once she gets to know you, she's incredibly affectionate and happiest when she's with her favorite people. Gemma prefers not to be left alone for long periods and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. Gemma barks when left alone and isn't suited to homes that share walls with neighbors.Gemma walks nicely on leash and enjoys meeting new people. She is reactive toward other dogs and isn't a candidate for off-leash dog parks or having dog friends. However, she's a very smart girl and would likely show improvement with consistent, positive obedience training. Gemma is not comfortable living with cats or kids.If you'd like to know more about Gemma, please fill out an adoption application using the link below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 14.2 Age: 3yrs 10mths 2wks

Story
Max is a charming 7-year-old mix with the best of three breeds and a personality that's full of heart. Known for his adorable "wiggle butt," Max doesn't just wag his tail-he wags his whole body when he's happy (which is often when he sees his favorite people). He's deeply affectionate and thrives on human connection. Max can have some anxiety when left alone, so he'd do best in a home where someone is around more often, or where he can be supported with structure and reassurance.Max needs to be the only dog in the household, as he prefers to have all the love and attention to himself. That said, he's shown a sweet curiosity and gentle affection toward kittens, which might make him a good fit for a home with feline friends (with proper introductions, of course).Max is looking for a dedicated, dog-savvy adopter who understands that behind his big feelings is a big-hearted, loyal companion just waiting for the right person to love. Please submit an application through the link below for Mr. Max!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Red Brown Weight: 26 Age: 7yrs 3mths 0wks

Story
Meet Bodie! Bodie is a young energetic dog that is ready for his loving forever home! Bodie is still a puppy so a home that can provide him with lots of activity and enrichment will be important. He enjoys playing with toys, other dogs, and people. Bodie is very outgoing and friendly. Bodie will need regular trips to the groomers to make sure he fells his best. Since he is a mixed breed dog, we can't guarantee that he is hypo-allergenic. Bodie is looking for a home that will help him as he continues to learn. Bodie has not had an ideal start to his life, so a home that will help him as he continues to learn basic manners. A home that can provide Bodie with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement training would suit him. Bodie is in foster and not available for drop-in viewing. If Bodie sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Weight: 5.0 Age: 0yrs 11mths 1wks

Story
A bit about Obi- Likes meeting new people- Okay with children- he is selective about his dog friends, may be best as the only dog in the house- Not good with cats.Obi is a loyal, affectionate companion who loves being close to his people. He thrives on togetherness, enjoys learning new things, and is more than happy to follow you from room to room. He's also an A+ snuggler-his favorite moments are spent curled up under a shady tree while you read, watch the clouds, or enjoy a cozy nap together.Obi does like to use his voice and will bark (loudly!) when he hears or sees something interesting. Because of this, he hasn't been successful in homes where he shares a wall with neighbors. He knows some basic commands and is eager to please, though he is strong and sometimes uses his size to get his way. He's currently a bit on the plump side, so a healthy diet and some extra activity will do him well. With his strength, smarts, loyalty, and snuggly personality, Obi will make a wonderful partner for an active person or family who also appreciates slow, lazy afternoons together. Please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire (linked below) if you would like to know more about Obihttps://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 54.8 Age: 5yrs 0mths 2wks

🐾 Meet Lacy! 🐶✨ Age: 7 years | Weight: 10-11 lbs | Breed: Border Terrier Say hello to sweet Lacy 💕 — a curious little crumb detective 🍞🔍 and certified cuddlebug 🛋️💤. She's fully housetrained 🚽✅ and politely lets you know when it's potty time! ⏰ Lacy is dog-friendly 🐕🐾 and crate-comfy after a few minutes of settling in 🏡🧸. She's generally good on leash (though she might do a little pulling dance 💃), and she's willing to listen — especially if you have treats involved! 🍖👂 Her favorite hobbies include: 🧼 Vacuuming your floors (with her mouth) 👐 Soaking up pets and attention 🚶‍♀️ Exploring the world at a comfy pace Lacy is low-to-medium energy 💗 and prefers the simple joys in life — like snuggles and snacks. Fast movements can make her a bit wary, so she'd thrive in a calm, gentle home 💖 (no cats or kids tested yet). As for toys? Meh. Lacy says, "That's kid stuff." 🎾🙅‍♀️ Ready to share your heart and home with a lovable little terrier? 🥰 Lacy can't wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Jack, your new best friend! 🤩 He's a 3-5 year old Spaniel cross who weighs somewhere between 12-15 pounds, depending on how much gravy-covered meals he's scored that week. 😂 This handsome boy is a certified cuddlebug with a heart full of love and a soundtrack to match. Seriously, he sings with the soul of a Husky trapped in a Spaniel body. Jack is great with other dogs and has been getting the hang of this whole play thing. He adores his foster cats and sometimes needs a gentle reminder to play nice. Teenagers? Big fan. Little kids? He hasn't met many but with his sweet and gentle nature, he'd probably do great. Now let's talk about Jack's biggest passion - walks. Say the W-word and brace yourself....this boy will start crying the moment the harness comes out. It's dramatic, adorable and totally Jack. Once you're out the door, he's a near perfect walker, more focused on sniffing the world than pulling you through it. Jack isn't shy about voicing his opinions, especially when crated. He much prefers the couch, a cozy blanket or better yet, your arms. He loves to be held like a baby and he will flop into your embrace like a soggy noodle. It's his signature move. 😎 Jack is not a fan of being alone so he'd love a home with another dog friend or a human who is around more often than not. When left alone, he'll cry a bit, then curl up for a power nap, likely dreaming about his next walk or gourmet canned dinner (forget the kibble)! Jack is doing well with potty training, especially with regular access to the yard. He's not destructive when alone, just content to watch the world go by or chew on his favourite toys. ☺️ Oh, let's not forget that Jack loves the shower. Invite him in and you've got a furry little spa partner for life! Jack is a sweet, soulful and affectionate boy looking for his forever family. He will shower you with love and laughs daily. Don't wait, apply to meet Jack today! 💙
