Meet the spectacular Cecil! Are you looking for your next companion whose heart is as big as his paws? Cecil is an absolute show-stopper and is eagerly waiting for his ideal adopter to notice him! His perfect home would be willing to give him alllllllllll of their attention as the only dog in the home, as he can play a little rough sometimes, and understand his desire to chase cats. He LOVES being around his people and is always willing to play with toys or spend time in the yard with those that he's familiar with.Cecil is a very handsome fellow, but he is still working on his confidence with new environments and people. He will need a patient adopter who is willing to shower him with compliments, and help make those new experiences a little less scary. He is still learning the ropes of good manners and will need some help ensuring that all 4 paws stay on the ground, but Cecil promises to give you all of his love and snuggles in return.Cecil is a very big boy, so he will need lots of space, and lots of food, to keep him looking and feeling his best. Story
Meet Levon, a vibrant 10 month old male standard poodle, often described as a big galoot of charm and energy. With a personality that can bounce and bark its way into any space, Levon is not just a dog; he's a joyful force of life ready to make your heart leap. While Levon's leash skills may need a bit of refinement, his enthusiasm is unmatched. When something catches his interest, he transforms into a lively performer, showcasing his athleticism with jumps and barks. The good news? Levon is smart and food motivated, making training an absolute joy. With a general zest for life, Levon may sometimes have an excess of energy, making him best suited for a family without young children or frail adults. He loves to play with his doggy friends, but has shown himself to be too enthusiastic for small or senior dogs. Levon is not good with cats. If you're seeking a fun, athletic, and incredibly lovable companion who's also a snuggle expert, Levon might just be the perfect match. For more details about this delightful galoot and the adventure he could bring to your life please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire (linked below) to start the conversation.Your future with Levon awaits!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 18.8 Age: 0yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Max is a charming 7-year-old mix with the best of three breeds and a personality that's full of heart. Known for his adorable "wiggle butt," Max doesn't just wag his tail-he wags his whole body when he's happy (which is often when he sees his favorite people). He's deeply affectionate and thrives on human connection. Max can have some anxiety when left alone, so he'd do best in a home where someone is around more often, or where he can be supported with structure and reassurance.Max needs to be the only dog in the household, as he prefers to have all the love and attention to himself. That said, he's shown a sweet curiosity and gentle affection toward kittens, which might make him a good fit for a home with feline friends (with proper introductions, of course).Max is looking for a dedicated, dog-savvy adopter who understands that behind his big feelings is a big-hearted, loyal companion just waiting for the right person to love. Please submit an application through the link below for Mr. Max!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Red Brown Weight: 26 Age: 7yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Meet the sweetest little lady around: Maize! This adorable little ball of fluff came to us through no fault of her own and is now looking for a brand new start. Maize is as sweet as can be but is quite timid, especially when it comes to new people and new situations. She's still learning that the world isn't such a scary place, and she'll do best with a family who can offer patience, reassurance, and lots of gentle encouragement. Maize may do well having a gentle dog companion in the home to guide her. She has lived successfully with cats. Maize is afraid of children but may be fine with respectful older children or teens. Her new family will need to be vigilant about keeping her safe, she has bolted through doors and can be very difficult to catch.Overall, Maize would love a calm, understanding home that's happy to move at her pace, celebrate her progress, and support her as she builds confidence. If you would like to know more about Maize, please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire (linked below).https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.5 Age: 4yrs 7mths 1wks

Story
Beauty is a 2-year-old mastiff sweetheart weighing about 55 lbs, with a gentle soul and a thoughtful, observant nature. She appears to do well with other dogs and is great with older kids, though she hasn't been tested with younger children yet. Cats are untested, and she's shown interest in rabbits, so a small-pet–free home may be best. She's a polite leash walker and a very nice sitter, making outings calm and manageable—especially on quiet trail walks, which she prefers 🌲. Beauty does well crated overnight and is housetrained, though she does enjoy chewing and will happily "redecorate" stuffies given the chance 🧸😄 She can be a bit stubborn or wilful at times, but that's all part of her charm. Beauty is low to moderate energy and can be nervous with big arm movements or when she's outside of the house, so she'll thrive with patient, gentle humans who let her build confidence at her own pace. She doesn't care for water (puddles and baths are a hard no 🚫💦) or car rides, but she loves peanut butter, chasing frisbees, and settling in with her people 🥜🐶 If you're looking for a loyal, quirky companion who enjoys peaceful walks and cozy time at home, Beauty might just be your perfect match ✨
