Story
Sweet like Honeybee <3 Who needs some extra sweetness to add to their family? Honeybee might just be the girl for you! She is full life, curiosity and love and ready for a family to shower her with affection. Honeybee is currently in a foster home with her sister Booboo and although they love each other and could happily carry on living together, there can sometimes be some sibling rivalry for attention, toys and food and so we believe that Honeybee may enjoy being the one and only Queen Bee of her new house (although a dog savvy cat may be allowed to live alongside her). If she could, Honeybee would climb into your pocket and go with you everywhere, every minute of every day! (especially up and down stairs because they can be tricky with such little legs and a long body). When Honeybee feels lonely she isn't afraid to vocalize her feelings, so she would ideally prefer a home where her family can be around most of the time or where she can tag along for the adventure. They say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" but Honeybee wants to prove that wrong! With plenty of patience, a quiet environment (and maybe the odd wiener or two), Honeybee is learning how to "sit", "stay" and walk on a leash. She's also trying really hard with her potty training and will use her pee-pads.Honeybee is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccines, deworming and flea and tick treatment but is still awaiting some dental surgery at the end of May which will be covered by the SPCA.If you want to enjoy the sweetness of Honeybee then please fill out an application using the link below. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Red Weight: 5.7 Age: 7yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Meet Sunny!Sunny is a senior dachshund with a big heart, a brave spirit, and a love for companionship. Though his world has been a small one, he's a courageous little guy who takes new experiences in stride and continues to show just how resilient he is.He's a friendly, social pup who enjoys being around people and is quick to engage-just say his name and he'll happily come over, often bringing his blanket along for extra comfort.Sunny is doing very well in foster care and is an enthusiastic eater. He's had dental surgery and now has just four teeth remaining, so he'll need soft food, but that doesn't slow him down-he continues to thrive and enjoy life. He's well-socialized with people and has been around dogs, cats, and even horses, taking it all in stride. Sunny walks nicely on a leash and would make a wonderful lap dog, always happiest when he's close to his people. He can be a bit excitable and may experience some anxiety when left alone. Sunny will also mark indoors, so he's looking for a home that understands this behavior and can provide consistency, patience, and gentle management.Sunny would do best in a loving home where he can get plenty of attention and companionship. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate senior who will bravely embrace a bigger world by your side, Sunny could be the perfect fit. Please submit an application below for this sweet senior gentleman!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Red Weight: 5.4 Age: 12yrs 1mths 3wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This delightful cuddle bug is made up of nothing but muscles and love! Wee-Man is looking for his true soulmate - someone with the strength and snuggliness to match! He appears to be the strong, silent type, but underneath his beefy exterior, he is a tender loving guy with a heart of gold. Wee-Man appears to have symptoms of allergies, and he is on a hypoallergenic prescription diet. Potential adopters will need to be prepared to accommodate and prioritize his medical needs. In Wee-Man's perfect world, he would live in a home where he gets TONS of affection, plenty of exercise, and extra special attention to his medical needs. He has lived with other dogs before, but would need a slow, one-on-one introduction to ensure success in the home. He will also need downtime to recover from surgery, which will mean needing to be separated from his doggie friend(s). **Please note: Wee-Man is awaiting his dental surgery, so we are prioritizing local applicants for Foster-To-Adopt.** If you think Wee-Man could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below. https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/ * TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and drastically affects the likelihood of receiving a call back. * Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Grey Weight: 32.5 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks
