Story
This amazing pup wandered up on my porch on the coldest night of January. OF COURSE we let him in. Immediately he was playing with my sons dogs, said hello to my 17 lb black stinker of a cat and had no reaction, he is not reactive in a fearful or an agressive way, knew how to sit and stay (kinda)not the least bit food agressive, let me put my "gloved" hand in the food bowl, took the bowl away and he sat, waiting on me to put it back. He went thru the doggy door to the kennel to poop, super house trained (he went to door to ask out when at my son's house). He is simply one of the best foster/rescue's I have ever evaluated. I travel for work so keeping him is not an option. MY son lives in a 700 sq ft tiny home (super cute) but -3- is overcrouding and uncomfortable for him. This baby deserves a home. I can't imagine a situation where he would not fit. Super gentle, mouth plays. Someone without a soul dumped him. I will evaluate the people that want to check him out.

Story
Yeti loves affection and being petted, and he’s happiest when he has someone nearby. He’s not demanding, just genuinely enjoys companionship and quiet attention. True to his name, Yeti might look a little intimidating at first (despite the name), but he brings a lot of warmth once you get to know him. He’s looking for a home where he won’t be alone and can share his calm, steady presence with someone who appreciates it.

Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog

Female, Puppy
Lafayette, GA
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Missy is a beautiful, energetic, happy 8 month old (probably Sheltie—she meets all criteria), who is too much for two semi-retirees! We adopted from a shelter when she was a four-month old. She came from what was apparently a deplorable situation, but adapted fairly quickly to having lots of food, and love. Because I still work full time, I don’t have the time or energy to put into training she needs that would turn her into a truly wonderful pet. She love playing fetch, tug-o-war, chase, etc. She is a true herder and would do great on a farm where she could employ her native instincts and do a “job”. She is up-to-date on shots, and heart worm/flea/tick prevention. With patience and consistency, she will make a younger, more active person a truly wonderful companion. We could return her to the shelter, but cannot bring ourselves to send her back into round-the-click confinement, within much one-on-one interaction. Please consider this lovely girl for your next best friend.

Story
This is Zelda. She’s about 5 years old. She is full of energy and loves to run around the yard and play tug of war. She loves cuddling on the couch and is a very sweet, loyal, and very loving dog. She’s great with kids 5 and up but, can be a bit rough with smaller kids if she gets excited. She can be a little skeptical of new people at first. After that, she makes friends with almost anyone really quickly. She can be jealous of other animals at times but, I feel in a new environment she can probably get really comfortable with another dog with a little time, My brother and I got her from McKamey’s animal shelter in Chattanooga about 4 years ago and sadly as life has changed we’re both no longer going to be able to take her in our new living situations. She’s hasn’t had her updated rabies shot yet but her last was about a year and half ago. She comes with two beds, bowls, collars, leashes, harnesses, and toys. Any questions feel free to reach out.

Havoc and Quigley

Mutt

Male, Adult
La Fayette, GA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained,
Story
Needing to rehome two puppers, Havoc is a suspected pitty mix and Quigley is a suspected mastiff mix. Havoc is a little over a year old and neutered, Quigley is about 3 and not neutered. Both are fully house broken and crate trained. They currently live with two cats so I would expect them to be cat friendly, though they have not interacted with children before. They are both well behaved and train well with treats. My ex liked to wrestle with them, so they will jump and use their mouth to play but are gentle and correct well. They are high energy and good companions on runs or hikes while also being great couch cuddlers in the evening. I have crates, beds, and toys that can go with them as well. I would love for them to stay together as they have bonded well and play often. Feel free to reach out with questions.
