Story
Luella was nearly full term in her pregnancy when she was abandoned at a local animal shelter. The shelter contacted us and we quickly sent one of our volunteers to pick her up. Luella spent several weeks in a foster home where she gave birth to two tiny puppies. Her puppies have long since been adopted, however Luella has yet to find her forever home.  This small shy Chihuahua mix prefers the company of women and is fearful of men. Luella would do best in a quiet home with someone that is home most of the day. An independent pup, she just needs to know you are near, not fond of being picked up or cuddled. Give her a good meal and a warm bed and she is perfectly content. Most of her day is spent just following you around the house or taking naps. The perfect roommate, she will listen to your troubles for hours and never complain. Luella is housebroken and enjoys having a fenced-in backyard she can explore. She had access to a doggy door in her foster home and enjoyed the freedom of being able to come and go as she pleased. Luella can be snippy with other dogs, but does do well with cats. If you’re looking for a small quiet companion that is easy to care for, Luella would be a good choice. Don't pass up this sweet, loyal pup.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Wren, a resilient and loving girl who has been on quite a journey. She came to us as a stray and was adopted for 3 years, only to be brought back for a short time before being adopted again. After 8 months, I received a heartbreaking text: “We need to bring Wren back, we are moving and the rental in between moving won’t allow pets”. I was absolutely devastated, but I know Wren's story is far from over. This incredibly sweet girl will capture your heart with her affectionate nature, showering you with hugs and kisses. She's great on leash, housebroken, loves to play fetch, and gets along with dogs. She even enjoys car rides! Let's help Wren find her forever home where she'll be cherished and loved. 💗🐶. Did I mention she is photogenic 😊.My adoption fee is $295To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
