Story
Meet Archie! Archie was found tied up to a tree on a back road. Thanks to a concerned citizen who called the sheriff's department, he found his way to us. He is estimated to be 2 years old and a pit/cattle dog mix. Archie is a very sweet boy. He can be a bit shy when first meeting someone but after a couple minutes of sitting and letting him get used to you, his goofy personality comes out. He loves playing fetch but doesn't quite understand he has to give the ball back for you to throw it again. Usually we end up having 2 or 3 balls out during his play time! He would do best in a home with older kids who understand to give him his space until he's used to his new surroundings. He gets along with some other dogs but would likely do best as the only pet so he can have all the attention! Upon adoption, Archie will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is waived. Story
Hey! I'm Denver. I'm 3 years old, a Leo, and can't wait to make you my new best friend! My favorite things are exploring new places and wandering a fenced yard by myself or with my person. I'm not a fan of having four or two legged siblings though. When I grow up, I want to be a treasure hunter! My nose is always to the ground. A perfect day for me would include lots of treats, booty scratches, and hours of free roam in my yard. If you're looking for the perfect exploring partner or want someone to walk the fence line while you lounge on the porch, I'm your guy! Upon adoption, Denver will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Story
Meet Duchess! Duchess came to us as an unclaimed stray. She was found with her 3 puppies who have all found their furever homes. After raising them, she is ready for her new home! She is estimated to be about 2 years old and a pit mix. Duchess is very friendly and wiggles so much when she sees her people that her body folds in half! After sharing attention with her 3 babies, she would prefer to be the only pet in a home so she can have all the attention to herself! She does get along with most other dogs though and would be okay with another sibling. She loves kids but doesn’t know her size and likes to climb all over her people for attention. She would do best with older or sturdy kids so she doesn’t knock anyone down until she learns she doesn’t need to have be on top of someone to get attention. We have not been able to test her with cats. Upon adoption, Duchess will be spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is waived. Story
Meet Cadbury! Cadbury came to us as an unclaimed stray. He is estimated to be 1 year old and a pit mix. He loves going for long walks (or runs) and playing in the yard. He is young and full of playful energy. He would make a great running or hiking buddy for someone! He gets along with most other dogs. He can be jumpy, likely missing basic manners training when he was younger, and would do best in a home with kids 12+ so he doesn't knock any little ones down. We have not seen him with cats. Upon adoption, Cadbury will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Story
Meet Kacey! Kacey came to us as an unclaimed stray. She is estimated to be 5-6 years old and a lab mix. She was adopted out once and returned due to no fault of her own. Her previous adopters worked with her so much and helped her to become more acclimated to living in a home. She is housetrained and knows basic commands, she loves cuddling on the couch, and she's very treat motivated, making it easy to add any new training to what she already knows! She would do best as the only pet in a home but loves puppies so she may do well as the only dog to start, and then be introduced to a new puppy in the future. She's not a fan of chaos around her, i.e., large groups of people, children running around, etc. and would prefer a quiet home with a single person or couple and kids 12+ or no kids. She has a high prey drive and will need a fenced yard, or to be supervised when outside on leash. Kacey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
