Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I adopted Grayson from a rescue in Memphis, TN at age 10 weeks. He has been with me and my older children since then as well as two other dogs. I need to rehome him because my daughter had a baby (they live with me), and he seems to think the baby is prey. My vet says this is not simple jealousy, that this is related to his high prey drive and likely won’t improve. He’s never shown aggression to people before. He’s had some training but would benefit from more training. He’s very treat motivated and loves to fetch and carry around his “babies”. He really is a good boy that needs a new home without small animals or babies. He has been crate trained and is house broken. He can guard his treats or food so he needs to be crated to eat if there are other dogs or younger kids around.

Story
All about Clementine from her current foster mom: Clementine is such a wonderful girl who is eagerly waiting for a loving family to call her own. She's not only house-trained but also incredibly well-mannered when left alone. In fact, she's never even thought about getting into the trash! She recently had the opportunity to test her self-control when she found some sliced chicken on the counter, and I'm thrilled to report that she passed with flying colors. Clementine has a playful spirit and enjoys a variety of toys. Plushies are her absolute favorite, although they become even more entertaining once they stop squeaking-she just can't resist 'disemboweling' them! Stuffed Kongs also rank high on her list of favorites, and she loves to settle down with a Nylabone for about 30 minutes before bedtime. One thing you'll quickly notice about Clementine is her remarkable intelligence-she knows exactly what she wants, and sometimes that leads to a bit of stubbornness. But that's just part of her charm! It's important to note that Clementine has a high prey drive, so a home without small critters (especially cats) will be necessary. Additionally, having a fenced yard would be ideal to provide her with the space to play and explore safely. I currently have a large breed dog, and they co-exist perfectly. My boy is easy-going, but we always ensure careful introductions for a smooth transition. Now, here's a special tidbit about Clementine: She absolutely adores beds. Any kind of bed will do, and I've never found her sleeping on the floor! And if you're not an early riser, you're in luck because Clementine likes to sleep in. She'll make the perfect companion for those leisurely mornings. If you're looking for a furry companion who's not only smart but also incredibly sweet, Clementine might be the perfect addition to your family. She's ready to bring joy, laughter, and love into her forever home." Clementine is eligible for our Foster to Family program which means you can take her home for up to 2 weeks to see if she is the perfect pet for your home before officially adopting! Clem is currently offsite in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting Clem, complete an online application and a staff member will follow up to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet. www.bchumane.org/adoption-application/

Story
We're so proud of the progress Tippy has made at the shelter. She was so shy and scared when she arrived that she wouldn't even look at people or play with toys. Now she excitedly greets everyone who walks by just hoping that they will take her out to play. Her confidence has really flourished, and she now enjoys lots of pets, learning new tricks and going for walks. Tippy loves to solve puzzles, especially if they involve yummy treats. She also has a favorite spider toy that she loves to throw in the air and then pounce on. It's been fun to watch her transformation and a new family will enjoy having an affectionate and smart student to teach new tricks.
