Story
Lula loves her people and loves to play fetch. We got her as a pup from a local Breeder. She is house trained and is good in the house. Lula does not get along with our other dogs or cat, and has been aggressive towards other dogs, especially smaller females. She would be happiest as the only dog in the family. Lula is very gentle with people and older children. Lula has been raised in the country and loves walking on our trails and in the woods. We are looking for a good owner or family with older children to give her lots of love and attention.

Story
Posted 12/29/25. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING US. Adorable Helga came to the Nest from a local animal shelter as a new born together with her 5 siblings and mom (miniature poodle/bichon). She is a terrier mix and will be about 15(+) lbs. Helga is 14 weeks old, very sensitive, smart, adventourous, playful, sweet, and affectionate. She is ready to take on the world with a loving humans by her side. We would love for her to go home with either one of her sisters (Katy,Selah) or where there is another sweet and playful pup close to her size and age. Right now Helga is still a blank slate — curious, playful, and learning fast. Her adopter should be ready for the joys (and challenges!) of puppyhood: crate training, potty training, chewing, and plenty of energy....As she grows, she will need daily exercise, ongoing engagement, and continued guidance to become her best self. Bringing home a puppy is exciting — a big responsibility! Puppies need structure, consistency, and lots of positive exposure to the world around them. Socialization, consistent training, and daily interaction are what shape them into confident, well-manneredand happy adults. We highly recommend working with a professional trainer also for the socialization aspect. Please note: someone must be home every 3 hours at this stage of development. Helga means a 13+ year commitment, so please think carefully and consider all aspects of your life before adding her to your home. For Helga we are looking for: a home with active people who can give her all the love, attention and training she needs to turn into happy and well mannered adult dog. We would like for her to go to a home where there is another dog about her size (not more than 25 lbs.) and age (up to 3 years is fine) - preferably male and we would like a securely fenced in yard (sorry, we don't do invisible fences). Well behaved, gentle children - preferably age 3+ - are fine. Helga is current on vaccinations including Rabies, she is dewormed, spayed and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $325. If you are interested in meeting Helga, please fill out an adoption application on our web site. One of our volunteers will contact you SHOULD WE DECIDE TO SET UP FURTHER STEPS TOWARDS ADOPTION or if we have questions. If you have questions, please email us at inthenest@gmail.com and we will do our best to respond.
We'll also keep you updated on Selah's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Gage lost her human due to a lifelong illness earlier this year and circumstances haven't allowed for her to be reunited with their family. Gage is looking for a loving and nurturing environment where she can lavish affection on her owner while snuggling on the couch or participating in outdoor excursions. Her utmost priority is to be by her person's side. Gage demonstrates exemplary indoor behavior and has mastered basic obedience commands such as sitting, shaking hands, and giving high-fives. Nevertheless, she would benefit from further training to address her propensity to pull on the leash during walks. Gage is a remarkable dog with a loving temperament. She has been spayed and is current on all vaccinations. Please message us for more information about this adorable girl!

Story
Posted 6/30/2025 Please read the entire description before contacting us. Thank you so much! Ace was found as a stray near a vet office. No one claimed him and so one of the veterinarians decided to take him home. Unfortunately Ace is reactive with most members of the family and it was deceided that he would be better off in a household with no children. We don't know what happened to this pup. He is definitely fearful and standoffish with people he does not know. He does bite when you try to trim the hair in his face and snaps when he feels threatened. It is possible that he had a bad experiencey while he was groomed as he freaks out and bites when you try to put a muzzle on. Ace has to be fully sedated at a vet office to be groomed. We believe that with the right human who is patient and willing to work with him for a period of time, Ace's behavior can improve significantly. He most likely will have to always be sedated for grooming though. Ace is about 2 years old, vaccinated, neutered, tested for heartworm and he is on heartworm/flea prevention. He is sweet but fearful and needs to be approached carefully. He takes a while to warm up. He is house broken and very good in the car. He also walks well on a leasd. For Ace we are looking for people who understand his behavior and who are willing to work with him on losing his fear and become a happy dog. For Ace we are looking for need a calm and quiet home with a securely fenced in yard, no children at all. Ace generally gets along with other dogs if they are little. It would be best though if he could be an only pet. If you are up to the challenge and interested in adopting Ace please fill out an adoption application on our web site. Email us if you have any questions or if you don't hear from us within 48 hours of sending an adoption application.
