Story
Meet your new best friend! This playful, energetic pup is always ready for a game of fetch and absolutely loves to swim. She thrives as the center of attention and would do best as the only dog in the household. Despite having her tail docked due to "happy tail," her joy and affection are boundless. She’s a sweetheart who’s eager to fill your home with love and fun! She has been around a 7 month old baby and wants to just love on her. She was supervised while around the baby.

Augusta, KS
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Freddie is 5 and was rescued by our family in the summer of 2020 in Hiawatha, KS. We were told he is probably a catahoula/blue heeler mix. He has lived with our male boxer mix who is a few years older. He has always got along well with our boxer, but he does act as the dominant dog. We now have two young children at home and cannot give Fred the exercise/space attention he deserves. Freddie is a protector, but also loves to snuggle (on his terms). He is a smart dog, loves to hang around when work is going on, listens well. However, he is home alone during the work day, this has caused him to start having anxiety that creates behavior issues while we are gone. We were able to kennel him for awhile, but had to stop when his anxiety became an issue. It has been a couple years since he had his shots updated. I believe Freddie would thrive as a working dog on a farm or similar location! He needs to stay busy! He is a sweet guy, just needs a home where he can be his best self!

Ellie is a 4 year old pure breed Pug! She is a sassy, very active, vocal doggie. She loves attention and scratches! The ideal home for Ellie would be one with lots of room for her play, with an owner who could give her all the love. She is a big people person and loves interaction!

Story
Sadie is the smaller of the two. I will fill out an additional form for KC the larger of the two. Raised from puppies by my elderly parents, both with walkers, very well behaved according to their size. Mom loved to feed them with a spoon after she had breakfast. They love to give hugs. They are house broke. They are experienced with an underground fence, mom and dad had an underground fence. The two are bonded. Sadie may have been hit or kicked by a delivery driver. She limped for about 3 months. Don't see her limp any more except on rare occasion. They don't understand what is happening with mom and dad both gone. Would love to see them go to a home together but understand possibilities are slim.

Story
Noah's my name and adventure is my game! I love going for car rides, playing and exploring the backyard with little humans. I like wrestling with some doggies, but others kind of stress me out from time to time. I can't wait to find an active furever home with people who enjoy having fun as much as I do! Sometimes I get a little too excited about everything, so I'm learning about calming down and having basic manners when I get wound up. I am crate and potty trained. My background? I was a last minute save from the animal shelter: they had run out of room so I almost didn't survive, and now I can't wait to find my furever home. I love everyone I meet and can't wait to meet you! To meet me, go to waalrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.
