Story
We have had Joey since he was a puppy, and he’ll be 8 in August. He’s true to his breed in being high energy, anxious, stubborn and full of love for his person. Unfortunately he has not adjusted well to us having our first child and we’ve had to keep him completely separate, which is just not fair to him at this point. He needs a home with no children, at least no small children, and no other pets. He needs a private space to run and play and burn some energy. He is house trained and had basic training as well as leash/walk training. We have unfortunately slacked on keeping up on those since having our son but he does great at getting right back into it with consistency. He’s an amazing dog, he just does best when he doesn’t have to share his person. He deserves a home he feels safe and at peace in and can have endless belly rubs.

Story
Very nice and easy going dog. I rescued him from being out down as a puppy at a vet. He’s really good with kids loves water and has tons of energy. I think he’s around 3 years old. Very energetic. He really needs someone who has the time to take care of him take him on walks and all the fun stuff. I have a young daughter and she does great with him they’ve been buds since she was born. But i can’t find a place that will allow me to keep him and not break the bank

Story
Luca is looking for a loving home where he can truly thrive.Luca is turning 2 in June and has the biggest heart. He’s goofy, loving, full of personality, and absolutely loves being around people. He’s the kind of dog that will make you laugh daily and quickly become your best friend.Luca does best as the only pet in the home, as he prefers having all the love and attention to himself. He would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard where he has room to play, but he also does very well indoors and loves spending time with his people.

Story
Ozzie is a 7-year-old Aussiedoodle with a big heart and personality. He's never met a stranger and is always ready to make a new friend. Ozzie does great with both kids and other dogs. While he hasn’t had experience with cats, his easygoing nature and low prey drive suggest he could likely adjust well with a proper introduction. Ozzie is already potty trained and kennel trained. He can get a little excited and may jump up to say hello—but it’s all part of his loving, playful personality. Ozzie would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of attention and companionship. He’s looking for someone who can match his energy and give him the time and love he deserves. Ozzie is being rehomed through no fault of his own—his beloved human is no longer able to care for him due to dementia. He’s ready to start a new chapter with a family who will cherish him just as much. 💙 If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Ozzie might be your perfect Match!

Story
Hi! I'm Harley, a sweet senior dog who loves to lounge on the couch and cuddle. Though I'm friendly and playful, I'm not a fan of cats. My favorite activity? Wrestling with my young lab friend in my foster home—it keeps me young at heart! I was found in the shelter very much in need of medical attention. My ear infections are all clear, but my teeth are showing their age. I’m a great house guest as I am completely housebroken, do well in the kennel, respond well to correction and quickly figure out the household routine. I'm looking for a forever home where I can be your devoted companion. Adopt me and fill your days with joy and snuggles! To meet her, fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.
