Story
Hi, I'm Kayla, a certified Very Good Girl. I'm a calm, loving pup who loves to lounge on the couch or on my dog bed. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. I can be a little shy around strangers, but once I warm up I promise I'll be your best friend. I'm crate-trained and potty-trained. Also, you know how Kansas is the worst place for people with allergies? It's true for doggies too! I have chronic rhinosinusitus, which is a fancy way of saying I will likely always have a runny nose and will need daily steroid nose drops. I also need special low allergen food to keep me healthy. Besides that, I'm a low-maintenance girl who just wants to love and be loved. To learn more about me and meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Story
My adoption fee is sponsored thanks to a generous donor! I'm free with an approved application. My name is Nyssa. Isn't my name pretty?! It means "new beginning," because that's just what I got when I met the WAAL warriors! I was found with a bad ouchie on my neck. Somebody let my collar create a sore and it grew into my skin. The worst part? My scars told my foster mama this was at least the third time! I have lots of furry siblings at my foster home and I love them all!! I think the cats are a little strange, so I like to just check them out from time to time. Not too close! But my doggy sisters? We're besties!! I love having a lot of doggy friends, but as long as you have at least one, I'll be happy! I am learning all kinds of new things at my house. I already know how to sit and lay down and foster mama says I have good kennel manners. I don't potty inside and I'm learning what leash manners are! I love humans!! Pets, scratches, kisses, hugs, SNUGGLES!!! Since I had a ruff past, I worry that my people will leave me. Sometimes I just need lots of reassurance that you love me. I promise I'll love you right back! I can't wait for another new beginning with you! To meet me complete the application at WAALrescue.org/adopt.

Gunner is a very good boy who loves to play and be active. He especially loves to play outside and go for runs or walks. He gets along famously with other dogs, but not with our kitty friends. Gunner is house trained, kennel trained, uses a dog door, listens very well, and likes to talk. He is friendly and does well with everyone he meets, including children of all ages. Story
Hi there, I'm Zac, and boy have I come a long way to find my furever person! I was found as a stray in Texas and flown to Newton Kansas, where I was taken into care by WAAL. I hope we meet so you can see all my cuteness in person! My foster mom says I have an adorable little snaggletooth smile. I also like to cross my legs when I lay on my stomach. When I get excited, I prance around. Speaking of prancing, I'm an active boy who loves to play and be on the move. I didn't get enough to eat while I was living on the streets, but I'm working to gain some weight. I sure love mealtime! I'm working on potty training and walking on a leash, but I am crate-trained. I get along well with other doggies and would do best with a doggie companion in my furever home. I'm a little shy at first, but once I warm up I'll be your best friend. To meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Story
He-llo! I'm Walter P. Ascott III and although my name sounds fancy, I can play like the big boys. I have a very distinguished look; black and while coloration that looks like I'm wearing a suit. My white chest patch looks like a dress shirt under my black tuxedo and is just the right place for a good love scratch from you! I need an only pet home, but I love kids over 12 years old like the ones in my foster home. I enjoy treats and being part of a family. Foster mom says I am affectionate and very talkative. I am crate trained and working hard to become potty trained. Fill out an application at WAALrescue.org/adopt.
