Story
Lady is a 4 year old pit bull mix, white with black spots. Before she was adopted a year ago, she was a foster for 6 mos. Her original owners tied her out every day so she got loose which was why she was in foster care. She is very sweet and loving with people. She’s been fearful of some men in the past. She went to board and train for 3 weeks when adopted and so she understands commands. . She rarely barks but can get loud when feeling threatened around other dogs such as the neighbors dogs or dogs at the veterinarian. But sometimes she’s fine with other dogs. She has a control collar and a choke collar to help keep her from pulling on her leash. She has a lot of energy and loves going for walks. She loves going on car rides as well. But mostly likes to curl up near her human on the couch or her dog bed. She does have fear of storms & reacts to being left shut up in a kennel or shut alone in a room for long periods. She is using medication to help calm her.

Story
Moose has been in our family for eight years and has been a wonderful boy. He is smart, affectionate, and well-trained with manners. We are desperate to find him a good home that will love him as much as well do. He has been raised with dogs, cats, and kids and gets along with all of them very well. He just got a clean bill of health from the vet. Moose loves to sunbathe, go on walks, and play tug with a rope. His favorite activity is talk a car ride with the window down so that he can get lots of sniffies. However, he also enjoys conversation. He is a great listener and will tilt his head when you say something that grabs his attention. Moose is a mixed-breed. His genealogy test showed mostly shepherd, but a nice range of other breeds as well. He is microchiped, neutered, and just in need of a good home that will enjoy his quiet easy-going observant disposition.

Story
Heartworm Positive: Hi, I'm Lil Nicky and I'm Heartworm Positive! Don't worry-I'm still the same lovable pup, I just need a little extra TLC right now! I'm looking for a foster-to-adopt family who can help me heal in a calm, comfy home while I go through treatment. Heartworm treatment can take up to 3 months, and while it works hard to get me healthy, it can be tough on my body. A quiet space with a loving human would make all the difference. What is heartworm disease? It's caused by bites from infected mosquitoes when dogs aren't on regular heartworm prevention. It takes about 6 months after exposure for dogs to test positive-so prevention year-round is a must! Can other pets catch it? Not directly! It's not contagious between dogs unless a mosquito bites me and then bites another pup. That's why prevention is key. Please ask staff about how to take me home-I'm ready to start my healing journey with you. Primary Color: White W/ Brown Weight: 52.5 Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks
