As we are in the middle of some big changes we know Ralphie needs more attention than we can give right now and we are sadly unable to take him with us. We found him as a stray but he has been with us about 7 years. He is super mindful and very gentle around all ages. He is an amazing walking partner and he LOVES to play with a soccer ball.. in fact it's all he will play with. He is a bit afraid of storms but ok as long as he is with you. We truly want him to have room to play with a great family to love.

 THIS PARTICULAR DOG IS NOT AVAILABLE, BUT THERE ARE MANY LIKE HER THAT NEED A FOSTER HOME TO SAVE HER LIFE.     Barktown Rescue is a foster based rescue. We pull dogs from the local shelter and place them into temporary homes until we can find them forever homes. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save. There are more than 6 MILLION dogs and cats euthanized every year. We cannot make a difference alone. We need you to open your home to a dog that would otherwise be euthanized. Please contact us for more information on becoming involved.     'Saving the life of one animal may not change the world, but the world will surely change for that one animal' The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
