Story
Despite his edgy name and appearance, Knuckles is a lover like no other! He is a spunky, outgoing boy who loves to romp, play, and take advantage of any love and scratches he can get. Knuckles does have a little sassy side to him though and is very vocal about his opinions! Despite this, he is incredibly smart and is quick to learn new commands and tricks. Knuckles is definitely a lover of the ladies as well. He gets along with most female dogs but is particularly selective about male dogs. So far, Knuckles has done well with introductions to men, women, and children.

Story
Jaxx is approx. 4yrs old he was surrendered to the shelter after the owner could no longer take care of him. He is a very energic boy who does love to run and would benefit from a fenced in yard as he does like to escape through doorways. Jaxx is not the fondest of men but with some slow introductions and patience he could grow to love men. He has lived with all age ranges of kids and was good with all of them. So far he has no problem at all with women. He is very selective about other dogs but has lived/spent time with them in the past. He would do best with female dogs. Jaxx does very well on the leash and walks like a champ and enjoys playtime with volunteers/kennel staff and with his toys.

Story
Meet Gypsy! This beautiful 3.5-year-old Border Collie/Pit Bull mix has one of the best smiles around! She absolutely loves giving her people big, happy smiles and has been sweet and friendly with everyone she has met. She has lived with other dogs and can enjoy canine friends, but she does tend to be a dominant female, so a meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings would be important. Gypsy is kennel trained and would make a wonderful adventure buddy! Our volunteers absolutely LOVE taking her for walks, and she would be thrilled to find someone who enjoys getting outside and exploring. She has never lived with young children, but we think she would likely do well with respectful kids. She has never lived with cats, but she seems like she may be able to do well with a confident, dog-savvy cat with proper introductions. If you`re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate girl with a contagious smile and a love for walks, she may be the one you`ve been waiting for!

Story
Zipper is a Shepherd mix puppy with a whole ton of sass and spunk to him! He is around 5 months old so he is still learning his manners and getting the hang of potty training but he is catching on quick! So far he has mastered the commands `sit`, `wait`, `off`, `come`, and `touch` (nose to hands), and he almost has `heel` down flawlessly. Zipper is extremely outgoing and loves all people he has been exposed to so far. He has yet to be introduced to children but we have the feeling he would warm up quite nicely to them. He has done well with most dogs he has met, both male and female. He is a little bit afraid of cats especially when they don`t like him but he really wants to be their friend. With some behavioral corrections, Zipper would be the perfect travel/adventure buddy and would benefit from an adventurous lifestyle with plenty of opportunities to learn!

Story
Meet Roan, a terrier mix with a personality you`ll absolutely adore! If you`re looking for a girl who`s always up for an adventure, she`s your perfect match. She loves other dogs, both males and females, so long as they are respectful to her boundaries. Roan is a `girls girl` through and through. Roan gravitates toward women immediately and is ready to be your most loyal friend. She`s little more selective with men and prefers a patient, slow approach to help her feel comfortable. She`s a little unsure of smaller kids and smaller dogs, so she would thrive best in an adult only household, or one with older kids and/or bigger dogs. With time she is more than happy to warm up to strangers! This spunky girl is looking for an owner that can provide her with plenty of exercise with time to veg out afterwards. She has tons of love to give!

Story
Meet Blue, a 1 year old Blue Heeler/Corgi mix with tons of fun and energy to give! With a heart of gold, Blue is outstandingly social with all people, including children. He loves to fetch balls, learn new commands and tricks, run laps like crazy around the yard, and soak up any attention he can get! He would benefit best from an active lifestyle with opportunities for exercise and adventure. Blue has lived with cats before and loved it but so far he has primarily done well with most female dogs. He has not liked any of the male dogs he has interacted with so far but with gentle and persistent introduction to other male dogs, we think he could warm up to them! Overall, Blue is a very happy-go-lucky guy who would love to make his way into your family!
