Coco is a 5-year-old Pocket American Bully with a big heart packed into a small body! She`s a fun-loving, energetic girl who can`t wait to find her forever family. She loves going on walks, enjoying yard time, basking in the sun, and spending time with volunteers! Coco can get a little rowdy sometimes but, with gentle correction, she will adapt nicely. She does not do well with cats, other small pets, and most dogs. Prior to her arrival at the shelter, Coco was living with a larger female bulldog and warmed up to her nicely. We suspect that outside of a shelter scene and with proper introductions, Coco would become much fonder of large, adult dogs. Coco would not thrive in a home with young children but rather with older teens and up. She needs someone who is dedicated to helping her learn new commands, find her routine, and adjust to home life! And don`t let her energy fool you—she doesn`t need a huge yard to be happy!

Although she takes some time to warm up to strangers, Leigha has your devotion after you`ve earned her trust. When Leigha first came to us she was incredibly skittish and afraid of people. However, with persistence, she realized how badly she wanted to be loved up on and now wants to follow staff everywhere they go. She has done very well on leash and is picking up new commands rapidly! She still needs some work on potty training but she is catching on quick. Leigha is still wary of strangers but she is making a great effort in facing her fears and is looking for a forever home full of love, snuggle time, and most importantly, exercise. She absolutely LOVES chasing the ball and would enjoy plenty of outside time. Leigha can be very select with the dogs she likes and dislikes. She has done well with non-confrontational male dogs and submissive female dogs. She has also done well with most cats. All in all, Leigha is a lover and is looking for the perfect household to settle into!

Story

I got Bowser as a puppy and have loved being a part of his growth process. For unknown reasons he has always been extremely skittish. We have done some professional training for leash and general nervousness and at one point we tried anxiety meds but nothing stuck. Bowser deserves to have someone who has a lot of patience and is familiar with gentle correction. Last summer he was attacked and has since become reacting more aggressively to anyone walking by the house. He has never had any problems with dogs of any size or kids besides that one occurance. Bowser is the biggest snuggle bug and will make you laugh on the daily. He deserves a home that will make him feel safe. With the right connection and a structured routine I believe he can still be a happy, healthy pup!
