Story
Nova is a rescue dog. She is approximately 4 years old. She has generalized anxiety and takes Trazodone to help with this. She is timid around new people and takes a bit to warm up. She is generally more afraid of men when she first meets them. She loves to go to the park and could run for hours, but she also loves to be lazy and could sleep all day! Despite having anxiety, she does very well on the medication and will simply sleep while we are away at work.

Story
This is Opie, he is a 6 year old pure breed German Shepard. He was an outdoor dog from a puppy to 5 years old, and has been an indoor dog the last year. He is a wonderful happy calm guy. He loves to go for walks and run around. He does well with other dogs, cats and children. He loves to be pet and cuddled, but also likes his space from time to time. He’s very friendly, well behaved and loves to meet knew people. He can be a bit nervous with new people and new environments but warms up quickly. An ideal home for Opie would include a loving home, room for him to roam around, daily exercise, and a backyard. Also would like an owner with patience and has knowledge about his breed. He does have some separation anxiety (this is very common in German Shepards). However, when Opie is in more of routine, such as designated feeding and bathroom schedules, he thrives!! He has never been aggressive or destructive, and is very well behaved!

Story
He found Heika on the side of the road last October. She is incredibly sweet, loves to snuggle, and has been friendly with everyone she encounters. She is spayed, her shots are up to date, and she is house trained. She loves to go for walks or mountain bike rides and has a lot of energy. She was scared of riding in cars but that has improved as well. She would do well with someone who can exercise her plenty. Her only downsides are licking and chewing when she is bored.

Story
Blue is an incredibly loving and smart 2 1/2 year old F2 goldendoodle (mother is a goldendoodle and father is a golden retriever). He is house and crate trained and knows basic training commands (I.e. sit, stay, lay down, etc). He does not have a lot of experience walking on a leash. Blue thrives on attention and, like most goldendoodles, prefers to be close to his people. He is great with kids and other dogs. Despite Blue being a very good dog, he is in need of a new home. Blue was purchased as a puppy for my partner, who has since learned he’s not a big dog person. Blue needs to be with someone who is as excited about him as he is about them. He needs someone who will shower him with love and affection and will give him the attention he deserves. I’d love to adopt Blue myself, but I have three children and a goldendoodle of my own. Serious inquiries only please.

Hiya (Hyacinth)

Australian Cattle Dog Australian Kelpie

Female, Young
Duluth, MN
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
It is hard to admit our household is not the best environment for Hiya. I rescued her two years ago as a 1.5 year old after seeing her picture and immediately fell in love. The reality is that our original dog has not accepted her into our family after over two years and is causing Hiya depression and anxiety. They are a toxic match unfortunately. Same size, gender, and activity level, they constantly compete with each other. When Hiya is alone and away from Our other dog, she is outstanding! She is exquisite as an off leash hiking dog as we have trained her to come when called, she is an adventure buddy OR cuddle buddy, she goes in our fishing boat, she loves camping. She has let toddlers dress her up in costumes, she snuggles, she is potty trained to stand by the door when she needs to go outside. She should not live with another dog or cat. When approached by strange dogs she can be reactive if they intimidate her. Please inquire!

Bandit

Husky Labrador Retriever

Female, Puppy
Superior, WI
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We are currently fostering this little girl, who we have been calling Bandit. She just turned 8 weeks old, born on March 3rd. She was born to a litter of 12 puppies. The house she was born in could not handle all 12, so we took Bandit and her sister and have raised them together for the past 4 weeks. Now she is old enough to find her forever home! She has been around our older dogs and does great with them. We also have cats that she does great with. She is husky/lab mix, with some potential German shepherd. She has beautiful blue eyes, white fluffy fur with black spots. We have photos of mom and dad. She has been socialized with lots of people but no kids so far. She is partially potty and crate trained. It is a work in progress but she is doing so good! She is mouthy, as most huskies are, but sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She is high energy and likes a lot of attention. She would ideally have an experienced owner who can put the time into training her
