Story
Hi! My name is Tucker, previously known as Supernova, and I am a very playful, curious, and HIGHLY energetic dog. I am 1 year old and I'm looking for a home to help me grow into the best dog I can be!Fun fact about me, I was actually born at Animal Allies! Feel free to look at my baby pictures, they're pretty cute! I was my momma's only pup, so I got extra love from her and everybody else at AAHS. Unfortunately I received minimal socialization in the early stages of life, so I'm looking for a family that is really dedicated and excited about taking me to my free follow up training at RR Professional Training. I will need a lot of structure and positive reinforcement as I settle into a new routine. In my previous home they mentioned some separation anxiety so having an owner that a is familiar with that and dedicated to helping me overcome that would be the best fit for me! In my previous home I also did well with an e-collar so with an experienced owner that knows how to use them I could fall back into that training well!In my previous home I did well with another dog and a cat! A dog friend that matches my play style and demeanor would be best. A house with no kiddos would be best as one of my previous homes had quite a few and it wasn't the best fit for me.Since I have been under socialized, it does take me a little bit to warm up to new people, but once I do, I love all the attention! I love playing with toys, especially fetch! I also LOVE to be outside and go on walks. I even like to carry a toy in my mouth when I trot around the trails at AAHS with our staff. They have also noticed that I'm a pretty smart boy. I know some basic commands such as sit, down, and place! I would love to learn more too, I'm eager to pleas and VERY treat motivated, so if you want to work with me and become a dynamic duo I would be so down!If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road. Otherwise, you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards their adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt until they are ready to go! Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Our adoption process is first come first serve.TUCKER'S ADOPTION FEE: $275 plus tax. This fee is used for the extensive costs associated with vetting and otherwise caring for Tucker and future pets at our shelter. Story
Hi! My name is Bones and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 4 years old and I've been at the shelter since 7/24.I'm a sweet and affectionate fella with the cutest little face and underbite! I love to goof around and play, especially with plush toys when you throw them for me! When I get my zooms out, I'm always up for a snuggle sesh with my favorite humans. My ideal home would be full of love and patience while I settle in to another new environment. I was a frequent flyer as a stray down at the City of Duluth shelter, so not a lot is known about my history. So far I've done well with the dogs I've met at the shelter, I've been respectful of the dogs that don't want to play with me and have LOVED romping with the ones who do! It is not known how I would do living with kids or cats.If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Story
Hi! My name is Jib and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am four years old and I've been at the shelter since July 9th.I am a strong, energetic, and bubbly guy that would love an active lifestyle. I absolutely LOVE to swim, just like a typical lab. I tend to get nervous on car rides, but lots of snuggles and plenty of attention will help me feel better. After a fun day full of activities, I will fall asleep anywhere and everywhere! My ideal home would acknowledge my strength on a leash- I could benefit from proper leash training. I also don't like cats...they just irritate me! That being said, I will not be going to a home with any feline enemies. I LOVE to make friends with dogs that I can play with, but little dogs scare me. I'm not sure why. I like humans of all ages, but I tend to knock down tiny humans because of my energy levels. If I had a little bit of training to increase my manners, I'm sure I would love a tiny human friend (or two). If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Story
Hi! My name is Buxs and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am about ten months old and I've been at the shelter since July 7th.I was found as a stray, so staff does not know too much about my background. However, I have made many canine friends at the shelter! I have even helped a shy dog come out of her shell. I love to make new friends! My ideal home would be willing to invest time in teaching me proper manners. Since I am a young lad, I would benefit from general commands. I may also benefit having an older dog friend that could teach me how to be a proper gentleman. Keep in mind I have lots of energy, so I will need an active home to meet my needs! If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt!
