Story
Hi! My name is Mellow and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 9 years old and I've been at the shelter since 3/31.I'm a big and laid back lad that loves spending quality time with my favorite people! I live up to my name and am usually quite the Mellow Fellow. I LOVE to play fetch, especially with a tennis ball. I've still got lots of pep in my step and will even still try to stand up and give you kisses! I know how to sit, shake, and lay down and will happily show off my mad skills for a tasty treat! When I'm really happy I do what my friends here have been calling "happy honks", I kind of bark but it sounds more like a silly honk. For this reason, as well as my size, an apartment would probably not be the best fit for me as those honks can get loud. I'm just a big goofy goofer and can't wait to meet you!My ideal home would be full of love and patience while I settle in to a new home. Being an older fella, I have some anxiety in new situations so I'm looking for a home that can help me manage that. I have previously lived with cats and I love them! Sometimes they're scared of me because I'm a giant, but I only want to be their bestie. I am NOT a fan of other dogs, so I need a home where I will be the only dog. I have never met kids, but staff think I would do well with older kids who are more sturdy (I might jump on them if I'm really excited!) and understand boundaries. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Our adoption process is first come first serve.MELLOW'S ADOPTION FEE: $200 plus tax. This fee is used for the extensive costs associated with vetting and otherwise caring for Mellow and future pets at our shelter. Every adopter from Animal Allies receives a pet that has been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Our pets also receive dental work or other treatments when necessary. In addition, Animal Allies provides free lifetime post-adoption counseling to help with any behavioral issues or concerns you may have for your new pet! Hi! My name is Keith and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 8 years old and I've been at the shelter since 12/31/25.I'm a sweet, chill, and goofy fella who loves getting attention! I love hanging with my peeps, going on walks, and exploring. I'm love toys, especially ripping them up! Treats are my jam, I'm not a picky guy, gimme them all!My ideal home would be very loving and patient while I adjust to the new environment. I made my way to the shelter as a stray, so the staff is unsure how I would do with dogs, cats, and kids. I have met a few dogs and would do best with a low key friend! I'm an absolute love bug, come meet me today and I will steal your heart! If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Story
Hi! My name is Charlie and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 10 months old and I've been at the shelter since 4/17.I'm a very sweet and very bashful little lady, it's kind of scary here at the shelter! I haven't always been treated with kind hands in the past, so I appreciate when new people go slow and give me plenty of time to warm up. Once I trust you I'm the sweetest little bean! I love to be close to my favorite people and get all the treats. I'm still a puppy and learning the basics, and since I love treats teaching me the rest should be a breeze! My ideal home would be full of love and patience while I learn the world isn't so scary. I've done very well with all the dogs I've met here, as long as they're okay with my rough and rowdy playstyle! I previously lived with cats and had so much fun with them, they didn't always appreciate me chasing them and trying to play but I just wanted to be their friend! Staff think I would do best in a home with no young kids.If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Story
Hi! My name is Tucker and I am a playful, curious, AND HIGHLY energetic dog who's looking for a home to help me grow into the best dog I can be! I unfortunately received minimal socialization in the early stages of life, so I'm looking for a family really dedicated and excited about taking me to my free follow up training at RR Professional Training. I will need a lot of structure and positive reinforcement as I settle into a new routine. I'm currently working on becoming more confident and playful with other dogs, so for right now I'm looking for a family with no other pets. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road. Otherwise, you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards their adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt until they are ready to go! Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Our adoption process is first come first serve.TUCKER'S ADOPTION FEE: $275 plus tax. Story
Hi! My name is Ducky and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own!I am 3 years old and I've been at the shelter since 4/1/2026.I'm a laid back and calm guy who enjoys gentle forms of attention. I had a rough start to life, so for this reason I'm looking for extra patient and understanding owners who will help advocate for me and my needs. New experiences can be a little scary, so taking things slow and allowing me plenty of time to settle in and adjust will be crucial for my success. I've also had negative experiences in the past with dogs, so for now I need a home with no other pets, and a family willing to let me gain full trust in them before trying to introduce me to any new animals. My ideal home would be very loving and patient while I adjust to the new environment and start to learn my new routine. I would do best in a calm house where all humans are respectful of my boundaries and fully understand my needs. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt!
