Story
Hey there. Thanks for stopping by to see my bio. My name is Tex. I am a six month Australian Cattle Dog (red heeler) and possible Catahoula mix. My owner sent out a Facebook post for someone to come get me or else. I don't know what else but a concerned lady came over amd picked me up. I have been fostered in her home with four kids and other dogs. I have a lot of fun playing with everyone. I also really like to snuggle on the couch. I am a puppy and I do have a lot of energy. I would like a yard to play in, a couch to snuggle on, a dog friend would be awesome but most of all, my very own family.

Story
Check out Hildegard - Hildy for short! Hildy was found after she was dumped on the outskirts of Mexico MO running with another pup that she had found along her way. These two were on a whirlwind adventure and ended up finding Pet Pals! Hildy is a sweet and energetic girl. Her breed is unknow but we have several people guess breeds like Boxer, Rhodesian Ridgeback, and Blackmuth Cur mixes. Whatever she is, she is eager to please and just wants to know you love her! She follows you with purpose, ready to be your right hand gal whenever you need her to be! She's great with other dogs and has such a gentle disposition for being such a big girl! Her foster says she fits in well as a country dog and does not have issues with his horses, cats, or any other animal. She is housetrained and has had no accidents in the home. Hildy is dreaming of the day that someone chooses her to be part of a family.

Mae

American Pit Bull Terrier Cane Corso

Female, Adult
MEXICO, MO
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
While Mae might look like a giant, she's actually pretty short in stature! She's a hefty girl. Mae is as sweet as can be and loves attention, but she's not fond of sharing her human with other pets. Her ideal home would be a single man or woman that does not have other dogs or small children. She has not been tested with cats, but due to her size, we think she'd be best fit as an only fur-child. While she has not shown any aggression towards children, she is a BIG girl, and would likely be too strong for a small child. If you're interested in a loveable giant, consider Mae today!

Story
Ruth was found abandoned in an apartment building and good Samaritan took her. Upon her intake to AHS Pet Pals, she was covered in a nasty skin rash that had left scars and made her very uncomfortable. She sought the security of her foster to make her feel better, just emphasizing how much love and trust she has in her human. Now, Ruthie is all healed up and ready to be your pal! She loves to play and have zoomies with other dogs, especially dogs of her size Ruthie is a sweet and submissive pittie girl with the most loveable demeanor you'll ever meet. She's a small girl that loves to be loved on - and gets along with anyone she meets! She's never known a stranger! She'd make a great addition to any family!

Drifter

American Staffordshire Terrier

Male, Adult
MEXICO, MO
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Drifter was scheduled for euthanasia at a rural shelter because no one would adopt him. He has suffered some past trauma that resulted in fear causing him to belly crawl on the ground and terrified of entering doorways. He has been in boarding and going to Doggie Day Care and he has done well. We have learned that drifter plays well with dogs his size. He is coming out of his shell and is excited to see people and does jump, so older kids would be best for drifter. He has this quirk that when he greets, he wants to nibble to say hello. He still needs some training but will make one lucky family a great companion.

Story
Tig is a 5 month old, beautiful brindle pup. He has had a DNA test and he is Staffordshire Terrier, Pointer, and a little dalmatian mixed in. Quite a Heinz 57. But, he is sooo sweet. He is great with kids and loves to cuddle under the blankets with them. He is kennel trained and will go to his kennel without fuss. He plays hard and would love another dog that will run amd wrestle with him. He does fine around cats. Tig does have some prey drive and is not suited for a farm with chickens and other livestock. Tig is a house dog and will make a great addition to any family.
