Story
Meet Wally! 🐾 Wally is a 4-year-old pit mix with a HUGE heart. He came to us needing a little extra TLC and handled everything with incredible gentleness and patience—showing us right away what a sweet, resilient boy he is.This playful guy knows how to have fun! Wally loves a good game of soccer, shows off some surprisingly cute yoga moves, and seems to think snow days are the best days. He’s great in the car, walks nicely on leash, and is always ready to join you for your next adventure.Wally has done well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. His play style can be a bit physical, so he’d do best with a dog of similar size and energy who enjoys the same kind of play. He cannot live with cats. With his loving temperament and joyful spirit, Wally is ready to live his very best life. Whether it’s outdoor adventures or cozy snuggle time, he’s all in—and can’t wait to find a home to call his own. 💙Current Weight: 72lbsAdoption Fee $250To Apply: www.fcrspca.org/adopt

Story
Meet RiverRiver is a 6-month-old pup who we believe may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, and he is just beginning his journey with us. As we learn more about him, we will continue to update his profile with additional details about his personality and needs.River is very much a puppy—full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world around him. He will thrive in an active home that can provide consistent training, routine, and positive outlets for his energy to help him grow into his best self.River was initially unsure when first introduced to cats, showing cautious curiosity. Once he had time to understand them, he became quite interested in play. He will do best with a dog-savvy cat in a home that can manage his playful enthusiasm and ensure the cat has safe spaces to retreat and decompress. With dogs, River benefits from slow introductions, as high-energy, overly exuberant puppies can make him nervous at first. He would do best with a medium-energy dog who can be appropriately matched during introductions and then engage in play once River is comfortable.Based on his suspected breed, Catahoula-type dogs are known for their intelligence, independence, and need for both mental and physical stimulation. They tend to do best in homes that can offer ongoing training, enrichment, and a sense of purpose.River is a young dog with lots of potential, ready for a home that will help guide him as he grows.Current Weight: 45lbsAdoption Fee: $325To apply: fcrspca.org/adopt

Story
Meet Abigail! Abby is believed to be a Heeler Pit mix and weighs just under 50 lbs. Abby can be shy around new people at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her true personality shines. She is affectionate, playful, and loves cuddles, a game of fetch, and quality time with her people. She walks comfortably on a leash and would thrive in a home with a yard where she can run and burn off some energy. Abby will do best in a home where she gets regular walks and enrichment like puzzle toys! At this time, Abby needs to be the only pet in the home.Current Weight: 47 lbs Adoption Fee: $250To apply: https://fcrspca.org/adopt/

Story
Meet Stella! She’s a 9-month-old pit-terrier mix with a big personality packed into a small body. Stella has endless puppy energy and will keep you on your toes! She’s ready to run the yard, leap into your arms, and fill your days with love and excitement.Stella is still learning the ropes of life—she’ll need continued work on obedience, leash walking, and building consistency with her manners. The good news? She already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and (occasionally!) “paw.” She’s a smart girl who just needs practice and guidance with skills like “stay” and other basics. She would thrive in a home that can give her plenty of playtime, mental stimulation, and a cozy spot where she can finally plop down for a well-deserved nap.Stella would do best as the only dog in the home at this time. She’s still unsure about other canine friends and feels most comfortable soaking up the solo companionship of her humans.Good news for cat lovers! Stella is cat friendly, but she would need to be placed with a dog-savvy cat and have proper management in place. She is very interested in playing and interacting with cats, and if a cat runs away, she may be tempted to chase. With supervision and a confident feline friend, Stella has the potential to coexist successfully. This sweet girl is looking for an active family ready to match her excitement each morning and shower her with affection. Stella can’t wait to find her forever home and start making memories with you!Current Weight: 28 lbsAdoption Fee: $325To Apply: https://fcrspca.org/adopt/

Story
Meet Pinto! Pinto is a 5-year-old sweetheart with the most stunning light caramel eyes you’ve ever seen—and a heart to match. This lovable boy is truly a ball of affection who just wants to soak up all the attention he can get. Pinto can get a little overexcited at times (he’s just that happy to see you!) but he responds well to “sit” and settles in nicely with a little guidance. Underneath that enthusiasm is a gentle, social dog who gets along well with both dogs and cats. He has a fun, playful side and would love to run around the yard with a canine friend, but he’s also perfectly content to wind down after an adventure. Pinto is the kind of dog who would happily join you on a hike, hop in the car for a road trip (he travels wonderfully), and then curl up beside you for a cozy evening. If you’re looking for a loving, well-rounded companion who can keep up with your adventures and your downtime, Pinto might just be your perfect match.Current Weight: 60lbsAdoption Fee: $250Apply at: fcrspca.org/adopt
