Story
Ham was adopted from a shelter back in 2021. He is a very handsome, energetic boy who loves to be outside, snuggle, go for walks, and eat food. He is a 5 year old husky-mix (per dog DNA) and he has the personality to prove it. Ham needs someone that loves to take him outdoors for walks and give him lots of exercise. He is crate trained, house-trained, and knows some basic commands like sit and lay down, and he recalls well to his name. He has done well with me off-leash and at dog parks with other dogs, but he walks best with a prong collar. Ham does need reinforcement with commands and training, if he knows he can get away with something he will continue to do it, so keeping him disciplined is important. Overall, Ham is just a big goof who wants to snuggle and get belly rubs (warning: he will give you kisses). He loves to sleep on the bed with you but he also does well sleeping in his kennel. He is up to date on all shots, microchipped, and neutered. He is a lover boy!

Story
Sugar Pie is a ten year old Retriever/Shepherd mix, a gentle giant who was found wandering along a road and taken in by our elderly father who lives in the Garner/Clayton area. The two have enjoyed years of faithful companionship, but now Dad's health care needs have increased and he has decided to move to a new home where dogs cannot be accommodated. Sugar Pie has fecal incontinence issues and would need to be kept outside, perhaps on a larger tract or farm where this wouldn't be an issue. She is a very loyal, loving, and adaptable companion. She would adjust quickly to someone who was willing to take some time and help her settle into her new home.

Story
I am writing to you with a very heavy heart. Due to my declining health and a necessary change in my living arrangements, I am forced to find a new home for my two beloved dogs, Duke and Prince. I am praying for a miracle to keep them together. They are an inseparable "odd couple"—a gentle Pit Bull and a tiny Chihuahua who relies on him. They have been my babies, and this is the hardest decision I have ever had to make. Here is a little about them: Duke (The Gentle Giant) Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier Age: 4 years old Personality: Incredibly loyal, loving, and patient. He lets his tiny brother think he is the boss. Health: He is healthy and active. He has a slight limp in his left hip (congenital) but it does not cause him pain or stop him from running and playing. History: Adopted from a shelter at 6 months old. Prince (The Tiny Boss) Breed: Chihuahua Age: ~3.5 years old Personality: Feisty, funny, and very active. He is the "man of the house" and keeps Duke in line.

Story
Meet Lucy or Lu-Lu! She responds to both. We found this beautiful girl on the side of the road in Cameron North Carolina. She had looked like someone dumped her on the side of the road after she gave birth to puppies. There were no puppies in sight so we believe she was dumped after her puppies were weened off of her milk. She was covered in cuts and looked starved. We took her in for two months now and she has been nothing but amazing. She is now completely healed and is at a healthy weight. She gets along with my other three dogs and my two cats. She is playful and loves affection. She has been spayed and had her rabies shot. Shes updated on her dewormer and her flea medication. Shes about 1 and a half to 2 years old. She loves toys and loves outside. If we didn't have so many animals already we would keep her in a heartbeat. But that wouldn’t be fair to her. She needs someone who can give her a lot of attention. This girl mostly just needs love. Shes had a rough start.
