Lulu is housetrained, crate trained, and knows the value of a good nap after a full-speed zoom-fest. She's not a fan of cats(They don't appreciate her energy), but she's all about that dog life. If you're looking for a loyal companion who brings fun, keeps it real and might even let you borrow her yoga mat (But probably not) Lululemon is your girl.

Story

Sparkles is a playful, intelligent girl who loves people. Her paperwork lists her as a Great Dane and Great Pyrenees mix, though she looks much more like a Great Dane, just on the smaller side. Her previous owner reported that she did well with cats. At Tuttle Animal Shelter, we’ve been introducing her to a variety of dogs and continuing to learn how she does with them. Sparkles does need space from other dogs when she has a treat. She gets defensive when another dog tries to take hers, so treats and meals should be given separately in a home with other dogs. Meet Lady. ❤️ Lady is a beautiful Collie mix we estimate to be around 2 to 4 years old, and after 18 days with us, we have gotten a pretty good look at both her sweet side and the things her future home should know. It is very clear that Lady belonged to someone before coming to the shelter. She arrived in excellent body condition, with a well-kept coat, and she even has a spay tattoo. Unfortunately, we were not able to find a microchip. Lady is affectionate, people-oriented, and appears to be potty trained. She can be anxious in a kennel, and a basic wire or plastic crate is probably not going to be enough for this girl if her future home plans to crate her. She does much better when she has room to settle and does not feel confined. With other dogs, Lady is selective. She has done well with the smaller dogs here, but she and Sparkles have not been a good match. At this point, we are not sure whether Lady is uncomfortable with larger dogs in general or whether those two simply do not like one another. During play, Lady can sometimes overcorrect another dog, but she also shakes things off quickly and does not hold a grudge. Because of that, any future canine roommate would need to be a thoughtful match rather than assuming she will enjoy every dog she meets. We have not tested her with cats. For her human family, we think Lady would do best in a home with adults or older teenagers. She is a sweet girl, but she would likely appreciate a household that can read her body language, give her structure, and let her settle in without too much chaos. Lady has already spent 18 days waiting for someone to choose her. She is spayed, appears house trained, loves people, and has clearly known what it means to be someone’s dog before. Now she just needs someone to make her theirs again. ❤️

Story

Meet Thomas, a super sweet little guy with a big personality packed into less than 20 pounds. Our best guess is that Thomas is a Rat Terrier or Chihuahua mix, and his smaller size could make him a great fit for apartment living. Thomas likes to play, loves his chew treats, and is polite about both. He is kennel trained and typically does very well about keeping his kennel clean. He also is not a huge barker. He gets a little excited in the mornings, but overall he is one of the quieter dogs in the shelter. Thomas has done well with most of the dogs we have introduced him to so far, too. More than anything, Thomas is a people dog. He is definitely Man’s Best Friend material and is happiest when he gets to be close to someone. In fact, Thomas has spent enough time hanging out in the shelter office that he seems pretty convinced he already lives there. 😂 Thomas was recently neutered and is fully vaccinated, so he is ready for his forever home. Meet Morpheus! This handsome, playful young Border Collie mix is looking for a loving new home. What is he mixed with? Your guess is as good as ours—but whatever it is, it resulted in one adorable pup! Morpheus is a people-loving boy who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether he’s snuggling on the couch, following you around the house, or simply soaking up your attention, he’s happiest when he’s with his humans. Due to some difficult life circumstances, his family has made the heartbreaking decision to find him a home where he can continue to receive all the love and care he deserves. Tiny little chupacabra. Lolly is a sweet 11 yr old Chihuahua, but she looks a little like she's the mythical chupacabra! She's an easy little lap dog who likes to sit on your lap while watching TV. She is Housebroken, and great with other dogs. Although she does have allergies, and requires medication, she is a happy and healthy little girl. She have done allergy testing on her, and know what she needs to avoid. Lolly would do best in a relaxed home with someone who is retired or works from home. She wouldn't be happy away from her people for long periods. She will require a securely fenced yard, so an apartment wouldn't work well for her, and children aren't her favorite, so no kids under 12 for this little one please. All available dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and given a broad spectrum dewormer . We require all pets already in the home are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
