Story
Meet Fagan – Your Future Best Friend! Age: Senior Breed: We think he’s a Lhasa Apso. He came to the rescue dirty and matted, so all his hair had to be shaved down. Size: Medium – Around 20 lbs Personality: Sweet and playful! Fagan is a gentle, joyful soul who is ready to fill your home with love and laughter. This sweet senior boy adores people and is always ready to share his affection. His love for humans knows no bounds, and he will happily curl up by your side for all the cuddles and attention you can give. He does need a couple of days to warm up - but once he does, he will follow his person everywhere! Fagan gets along fine with other dogs, both big and small. He's also a big fan of toys and watching him play is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Despite his age, Fagan is still full of energy and loves having fun! Fagan is not housebroken and due to his age, he may never reach that goal. He wears a belly band in his foster home and it is washable in case he has an accident. He will go to his new home with a package of 3 washable belly bands. Now Fagan is crate trained, and he has never had an accident in his crate, so the potential of housebreaking is still there. It will take time and patience though. If you're looking for a loving, happy boy to add to your family, Fagan is the one! He just needs a patient home where he can continue to thrive, and in return, he will shower you with endless love and joy. Are you ready to give Fagan the forever home he deserves? Come meet him today! Adopt Fagan – A sweet senior with a heart full of love!

Story
Meet Cooper! Cooper’s journey began as a stray, found and taken to the El Reno Animal Shelter with a severe case of demodex, a skin condition that left him in desperate need of care. Despite all the challenges he’s faced, Cooper has proven to be a resilient and loving pup. At around 18 months old, Cooper has spent six months of his life in boarding—no way for a puppy to experience life! Even with this tough start, Cooper’s spirit shines through. He loves playing with other dogs but knows when he needs his space and prefers not to be jumped on. His sharp intelligence and eagerness to please his humans make him an ideal companion, ready to learn and love in his forever home. Do you think you could show Cooper that his worst days are behind him and that his future is full of love, play, and joy? He’s waiting for a special family to give him the second chance he deserves. Could that be you?

Story
McFlurry is one of the puppies from the Chocolate Sox gang. They were brought into Fur Ever Friends Rescue & Doggie Day Care from Midwest City. We think they maybe a Dalmation, hound mix. In researching his mother, found a dog at another Rescue that could be her twin. They said their dog was a Dalmation, hound mix. He looks like he may have some shepherd in him. We have a fostering to adopt program to make sure the pet is a good fit for your family. Please research this breed of pet before considering foster / adopting. First submit an application. Once the application has been reviewed and approved. You will be contacted for an interview. You will need to submit veterinary references and contact information of your current Vet. A home check may be conducted. Foster / Adopters must have a fenced in yard. Once approved an appointment will be set up to meet the pet. If approved, then the Foster to Adopt application will be signed by both parties. We will need original signatures.

Story
Meet Dexter – Your New Best Friend! Hi there! I’m Dexter – a sweet, playful pup with a big heart and a lot of love to give. My two brothers and sister and I were left on a remote road in October, but a kind couple rescued us and gave us a safe place to land. Now, I’m ready for the next chapter: finding my forever family. I’m about 1 year old, neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on heartworm prevention. I’m crate-trained, house trained, and walk well on a leash. I even sleep through the night like a pro! I’m also pretty athletic, so I’ll need a tall, secure fence—I can clear four feet without breaking a sweat. Most of all, I’m looking for a family to love, play with, and grow up beside. If you’re ready for a loyal, energetic companion, I’d love to meet you. Love, Dexter

Story
Hi there, I’m Stetson! I’m about 8–12 months old (we’re not totally sure), but one thing is certain: I’m small for my breed because I didn’t get the best start in life. I came from a rural Oklahoma shelter where they thought I was a tiny 4-month-old puppy with a broken pelvis. Surprise! Turns out I’m older—and my femur had once been completely shattered and healed on its own. Because it healed without surgery, one of my back legs is a little shorter, giving me the cutest little hop when I run and play. It doesn’t stop me one bit, but it does mean I may have some arthritis as I get older. I hope you won’t let that scare you away—I love walks, playtime, and exploring the world! I’m currently living with three dogs and a cat. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like, but I definitely prefer playful friends, because I can be a bit… annoying to the older grumpy sister dog in my house. As for the cat, well—I can’t decide if she’s a friend or some sort of strange alien creature. I’m not aggressive at all, but I may bark at her occasionally just to voice my confusion. I adore people and would do great in an active home with older kids. I’m still pretty mouthy and learning how to play gently, so I wouldn’t want to accidentally hurt a tiny human. I’m eager to please, very redirectable, and doing awesome with structure and consistency. I’m fully house-trained, crate-trained, and I sleep through the night in my crate like a champ. My favorite hobbies include emptying the toy box, playing with every toy I find, and showing off my flirt-pole skills—I’m a pro at catching that thing! If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, resilient, and incredibly loving companion with a signature hop, I just might be your guy.
