Story
Meet Mitchell – the boy with a heart of gold, ears that live their own life, and a weirdness you can only fully appreciate when you meet him! Mitchell has been in his foster home since the day he was born. He has always been a little different, and a very vocal boy – like all shepherds strive to be. Mitchell is a year and half old and 70 lbs of mostly German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. He loves other dogs and his personality has really taken off with strangers too. He has a couple of best friend foster siblings that he enjoys playing with. Mitchell is house and kennel trained. He will need a home with a routine and patience as he works on leash training and that help him keep learning. Mitchell has a pretty standard shepherd personality. If you have experience with shepherds, you fully understand. He wants to be worried about the world, while also being a social butterfly – an interesting combination for sure! Mitchell does get nervous with new things, but as his confidence continues to grow, we know that nervousness will get less and less. He hasn't been around kids but with his easy going demeanor we don't think he would have any issues in a home with kids that know how to respect their dog friends. He was born with bad hips and had surgeries to get him all fixed up. He’s still trying to learn that his hips are fixed, so he walks a little odd, but that just goes with his personality! Mitchell is a large dog, so he will benefit from some joint supplements as he ages. He may never be a super high energy guy, but more of a couch potato, hang out with his humans kind of guy. Mitchell wants to be a house dog, a true family companion, and would do best in a lower-key home. Staying active throughout his life will help him, but he won’t ever be a marathoner! Story
Meet Honey! She is an 8 month old, 70 lbs Pointer/Pittie mix. She is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. This little girl and her 10 littermates were born to one of our momma dogs that was confiscated due to animal cruelty. They and momma (Jazzy) are finally ready to find their forever homes and families! She has been living in a foster home with her brother and sister, Oreo and Cocoa. Her name suits her well as she is super sweet. We like to call her Honey Bunny. She isn't a fan of loud noises but loves to cuddle. She can be slow to warm up to new people but loves her family so much! She plays hard with her siblings or toys then passes right out. She likes attention and pets but isn't one to be held for very long. Honey is a big fan of her chew toys and loves a good squeaky toy! Honey is kennel and house trained. She is still young and will need a family to help her finish learning all the ropes. She is good with other dogs and has been exposed to different breed and sizes. We're unsure how she is with cats. She has been around older children and would probably be okay with younger ones as she's not prone to biting or scratching when she plays. She is very food motivated which should make training go great! She loves treats and is learning her basic commands. She and her siblings do best eating separately from each other. Sweet Honey would make a great addition to any dog-loving family and we can't wait to find the one that's meant for her! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet/adopt her at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application!

Story
Meet Oreo! He is an 11 month old, 40 lb Pointer/Pittie mix. This handsome boy and his 10 littermates were born to one of our momma dogs that was confiscated due to animal cruelty. They and momma (Jazzy) are finally ready to find their forever homes and families! He has been living in a foster home with two of his sisters, Honey and Oreo. He will steal your heart while also trying to steal whatever objects he can find and then run and hide with them! He thinks he's pretty funny. He is a big fan of his chew toys and loves a good squeaky toy! Oreo gets hot easily and absolutely loves water. He will stand in the water bowl and make a mess with the water on the floor if you let him! We'd love to see how much fun he has with something bigger than a puddle! He loves sleeping in dark, cool places. He can sound pretty furious when playing, but isn't a mean boy. He's just got that kind of sound. Oreo is house and kennel trained. He is still a young guy and will need a family that can help him keep learning all the ways to be a great boy. He is good with other dogs and has been exposed to different breed and sizes. We're unsure how he is with cats. He has been around older children and would probably be okay with younger ones as he's not prone to biting or scratching when he plays. This hungry guy is very food motivated. He LOVES treats which is coming in super handy as he is learning his basic commands. He and his siblings do best eating separately from each other as they will swipe a bite from another's plate if you let them. Oreo would thrive with a fun family that loves including their furry family members in their adventures, bonus points if it includes water! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet/adopt him at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped.

Story
Meet Frankie! He is around 4 months old, 20 lbs. We expect him to be a bigger dog and may weigh around 50+ lbs when fully grown. This little guy is smart, sweet, and laid back. He and one of his sisters are the ring leaders of the group. He is good around other dogs and has been exposed to cats and done well so far. He is curious about cats and easily gets his big feelings hurt when they inevitably slap him. He would do best in a home with cats that are accustomed to dogs and know how to assert their boundaries. He has not been around children but would likely do just fine with children that know how to be respectful of their doggy friends. He can be a tad shy of meeting new people but warms up and is a sweetie. He has the cutest floppy zoomies and tires out quickly. He is crate trained and doing really well learning house training! No accidents in his kennel! Frankie is all things puppy and need a home that will give him the patience and love he needs to adjust and learn. He enjoys being outside and would do best in a home with a yard to play in. If you think Frankie might be a good fit for your home, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions adoptions team at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

Story
Meet Johnny! He is around 9-10 months old and 65 lbs, possibly a Lab/Dane mix and ready to find his forever home! This sweet guy was found as a stray by Lake Hefner with his sister June when they were still small puppies. They have received all the vet care they need and have grown into great doggos, ready to find homes of their own. Johnny is house and crate trained and does great on a leash! He knows sit and is leaning to play fetch. He loves to be in the backyard, chasing squirrels in the yard and telling the birds to get off his lawn. He is a sweet boy but, like many dogs and people, he takes a minute to warm up to strangers and other dogs. He would do great as an only dog or in a home with a non-dominant dog friend. He loves to go on walks, snuggle up by his people, and get his back and belly rubbed. Johnny does resource guard and does great eating in his kennel. Johnny has a lot to offer a dog-loving person or family that can give a rescue dog the love and patience they need to adjust to a new family and home. You can send inquiries to our adoptions team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Johnny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heart worm negative. HIs adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Tater! He's round-ish, sweet, and just the right amount of salty—basically the perfect side dish to your life. At around 7 years old and 25 lbs, Tater is the ideal size for a couch buddy, car ride copilot, or undercover snuggle ninja (he must burrow under the covers, it's non-negotiable). We think he might be a Dachshund mix, but like any good casserole, the exact ingredients are a little bit of a mystery. What we do know is this: He's house trained He's mastered the doggy door He's great with dogs of all sizes and respectful kids Cats? Still a mystery, but he’s open to interviews Tater enjoys the company of other pups but is also perfectly content as your one and only. He’s got some pep in his step for an older gent—he walks well on leash and has a playful spark when the mood strikes. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, cuddle-certified companion who will always be down for a nap, a snack, or some under-the-blanket bonding time… Tater is your guy. Apply to adopt this spud-tacular pup today and bring home a little extra love (and a lot of cozy). Apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Tater is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heart worm negative. HIs adoption fee is $250. He does not have any special needs or take any medications.
