Story
***Please submit applications at www.becauseofyourescue.org All applications will be verified.*** Maggie came to us as a stray in a local shelter where she was about to be euthanized. She had great difficulty walking because her knees and legs were in horrible condition. After many months of surgery and recovery, Maggie was ready for her new home, only no one ever came to adopt her. She's a large chi mix at approx 10lbs, but she's sweet, social and well mannered. She's doggie door and crate trained. Maggie would love a quiet, ADULT ONLY home...she would LOVE to be an only pet, but is good with other small calm dogs. Maggie deserves to spend her last years in a real home, where she can be loved for the really great dog she is. She requires a secure fenced yard, no apartments please. Maggie is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, heartworm tested/on preventative & micro-chipped. Maggie qualifies for our "seniors adopting seniors program" ***If interested in Maggie, Please SUBMIT AN APPLICATION found at www.becauseofyourescue.org *** We require all pets in the home to be spayed/neutered (unless deemed medically unable per your vet, due to health) & current on heartworm preventative.

Story
Meet Lyla! DeLyla Bean (Lyla) is a little over 3 years old, Pitt Mix and weighs 53 pounds! She is super sweet, goofy and high energy. She loves to run and play. She also loves to give hugs and be lazy with her people. Lyla is chipped, spayed, and is all up to date on shots. She knows sit and wait especially at meal times and with treats. She loves car rides. She is an inside dog but does love to be outside in a good fenced in area with plenty of room for her zoomies. She would do best as an only dog and without young children in the home. She is crate trained and does very well sleeping in there at night! If you are interested in setting up a meet & greet with her you can apply for her here: https://airtable.com/embed/shrTDKKAuMhQr3e88 We will review your application and if it has been approved we can schedule a time for your to meet the pup you are interested in! Since we are a training based rescue during the meeting we will go over training and how to implement training into your daily lives. After you have met the dog you are interested in and decide you would like to adopt we have a two week foster-to-adopt period. This allows you to take the dog home with you and see if this is the perfect fit for your lifestyle! At the end of the two weeks if you decide to adopt, you will then pay the adoption fee, & make it official!

Story
Meet Koda! She’s currently around 9 months old Border Collie mix and looking for her forever family. She was originally adopted from us at 10 weeks old and recently returned due to no fault of her own. She is a super sweet and cuddly pup! She is dog and kid-friendly as well. She loves to go for walks and play with friends. She also loves water! She is super excited to learn new things and we think with a little bit of training she would make a great therapy dog! If you are interested in setting up a meet & greet with her you can apply for her here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/52567/generic We will review your application and if it has been approved we can schedule a time for your to meet the pup you are interested in!
