Story
Meet Roo, a sweet two-year-old pup with the gentlest soul. Roo was found on Thanksgiving, covered in mats and with nails so long it hurt to walk. Though he was first mistaken for a senior, it turns out he’s a young dog with an old soul—calm, loving, and laid back. Now cleaned up and comfortable, Roo has blossomed into a total cuddlebug. His favorite place is in your lap, soaking up all the affection he can get. He walks beautifully on a leash, is fully house-trained, and gets along wonderfully with other pups. Roo is ready to start the next chapter of his life—a safe, cozy home where he can snuggle his way right into your heart.

Story
Meet Tootie – Your Couch Cuddle Buddy! 🐾 Tootie is a calm, sweet 3.5-year-old boy (17 lbs) who loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch and spending time with his humans. He walks well on a leash, enjoys playing with his toys, and is kennel trained. He’s learning house manners and would do best in a home with other calm dogs, as high-energy pups can overwhelm him. Tootie came to us when his previous owner became ill and could no longer care for him. He arrived covered in fleas and with skin issues, but after lots of TLC, he’s healthy, happy, and ready for a soft spot on the couch, belly rubs, and plenty of treats. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will melt your heart, Tootie is your guy! 💛

Story
Meet Mitchell – the boy with a heart of gold, ears that live their own life, and a weirdness you can only fully appreciate when you meet him! Mitchell has been in his foster home since the day he was born. He has always been a little different, and a very vocal boy – like all shepherds strive to be. Mitchell is 3 years old and 70 lbs of mostly German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. He loves other dogs and his personality has really taken off with strangers too. He has a couple of best friend foster siblings that he enjoys playing with. Mitchell is house and kennel trained. He will need a home with a routine and patience as he works on leash training and that can help him keep learning. Mitchell has a pretty standard shepherd personality. If you have experience with shepherds, you fully understand. He wants to be worried about the world, while also being a social butterfly – an interesting combination for sure! Mitchell does get nervous with new things, but as his confidence continues to grow, we know that nervousness will get less and less. He hasn't been around kids but with his easy going demeanor we don't think he would have any issues in a home with kids that know how to respect their dog friends. He was born with bad hips and had surgeries to get him all fixed up. He’s still trying to learn that his hips are fixed, so he walks a little odd, but that just goes with his personality! Mitchell is a large dog, so he will benefit from some joint supplements as he ages. He may never be a super high energy guy, but more of a couch potato, hang out with his humans kind of guy. Mitchell wants to be a house dog, a true family companion, and would do best in a lower-key home. Staying active throughout his life will help him, but he won’t ever be a marathoner! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application! Mitchell is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Johnny! He is around 1.5 years old and a long and lanky 55 lbs, ready to find his forever home! This sweet guy was found as a stray by Lake Hefner with his sister June when they were still small puppies. They have received all the vet care they need and have grown into great doggos, June has been adopted and Johnny is more than ready to find a home of his own. Johnny is house and crate trained and does great on a leash! He knows sit and is leaning to play fetch. He loves to be in the backyard, chasing squirrels in the yard and telling the birds to get off his lawn. He also loves playing with a dog friend outside! He has done well with other dogs, big and small, with proper introductions. We're unsure how he may be with cats. He is a sweet boy but, like many dogs and people, he takes a minute to warm up to new people. He hasn't lived with children but would likely do fine with older kids that know how to respect dog friends and can give him the time and space a shy guy like him needs to make new friends. He loves to go on walks, snuggle up by his people, and get his back and belly rubbed. Johnny does resource guard some but does great eating in his kennel, giving everyone a little space when it's dinner time. Johnny has a lot to offer a dog-loving person or family that can give a rescue dog the love and patience they need to adjust to a new family and home. You can send inquiries to our adoptions team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Johnny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Frankie! He is around 1 year old, 60 lbs, a Chow/Husky mix, and ready to join his forever family! This guy is smart, sweet, and laid back. He is good around other dogs and has been exposed to cats and done well so far. He is curious about cats and easily gets his big feelings hurt when they inevitably slap him. He would do best in a home with cats that are accustomed to dogs and know how to assert their boundaries. He doesn't live in a foster home with kids but has done well with those he has met and would do well with children that know how to be respectful of their doggy friends. He can be shy of meeting new people but warms up and is a sweetie. That being said, this guy prefers the ladies. Men tend to make him uncomfortable and he would do best in a home without them. He has the cutest floppy zoomies and tires out quickly. He is crate trained and house trained and is doing well learning leash training. He also does great in the car. Frankie is all things young, happy dog and needs a home that will give him the patience and love he needs to adjust and learn. He enjoys being outside and would do best in a home with a yard to play in. He is an athletic guy and does need a privacy fence as he can climb chain link. If you think Frankie might be a good fit for your home, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions adoptions team at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Oreo! He is 2 years old, around 50 lbs, and a Pointer/Pittie mix hunting for his forever home! He will steal your heart while also trying to steal whatever objects he can find and then run and hide with them! He thinks he's pretty funny. He is a big fan of his chew toys and loves a good squeaky toy! Oreo gets hot easily and absolutely loves water. He will stand in the water bowl and make a mess with the water on the floor if you let him! We'd love to see how much fun he has with something bigger than a puddle! He loves sleeping in dark, cool places. He can sound pretty furious when playing, but isn't a mean boy. He's just got that kind of sound. Oreo is house and kennel trained. He is still a young guy and will need a family that can help him keep learning all the ways to be a great boy. He is good with other dogs and has been exposed to different breed and sizes. We're unsure how he is with cats. He has been around older children and would probably be okay with younger ones as he's not prone to biting or scratching when he plays. This hungry guy is very food motivated. He LOVES treats which is coming in super handy as he is learning his basic commands. He and his siblings do best eating separately from each other as they will swipe a bite from another's plate if you let them. Oreo would thrive with a fun family that loves including their furry family members in their adventures, bonus points if it includes water! You can send inquiries to our adoption team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet/adopt him at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.
