**The first step to adopting from MO Min Pin Rescue, is to complete the online adoption application. A good vet reference and heartworm prevention are required. Chaz is located in Oklahoma City, OK. We do not arrange transport, and you will be responsible for coming to us to get your dog. Adoption Application link: https://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html ** Born on 2/19/2019. He just turned 5 years old. He weighs about nine pounds and is a very affectionate young man. He does have a bit of anxiety and would rather be with his person/people than alone. He is fine with other dogs. He is a chocolate merle Harlequin Pinscher that was bought from a breeder originally. His first human passed away and he found himself with our rescue a few years ago. That didn't work out for him through no fault of his own and we got him back. During his first 2 years of life, he was given a topical flea/tick preventative that caused 3rd degree burns down his back. He has a scar, and missing hair on his back where no fur will ever grow. It will need to be protected from the sun with a light t-shirt, and cold in the wintertime. Due to his rough start in life, his next home needs to be his forever home, and he deserves it! He is fully vaccinated, heartworm-negative, microchipped and neutered. Chaz is located in Oklahoma City, OK and his adoption fee is $275.

This is Spike.  He is a beautiful boy who has lost his home through no fault of his own.  His mom has moved to a nursing home and Spike is living with a family member until his new forever home is found. He is very happy go lucky, loves to run and play. He needs to learn a few manners but sits and has so much potential with repetition and reward.  If you would like to meet Spike, please complete the adoption application so that we may see if Spike is a good fit for your family.  This does not obligate you to an adoption.  Spike is a courtesy post and is not part of our organization.  We are assisting the owner in finding Spike the home he deserves. https://form.jotform.com/truefriendsok/true-friends-animal-rescue-adoptionNovember 5, 2024, 5:14 pm

Story
Breed: German Shepherd Lab mix best guess  / Adoption fee is $150  / Sex: Female  / Age: Approximately 4-5 years old  / Weight: Approx. chunky 80 pounds  Hi, hi, oh hi! My name is Bella and I am so happy to meet you. I am a four year old girl that weighs over eighty pounds. They think I am a German shepherd mix. I came to the rescue after my family was moving and they dropped me off at a city shelter where I could die. Lucky for me the rescue came and took me out of there. So I am looking for a safe, new home. I am a fun, water loving girl. I enjoy my people, cuddles and car rides. I have been around cats and will play with other dogs but am best suited as an only dog or have a male furry friend. I know how to use a doggie dog, am house trained and know my basic manners. I like to stay close to my people. Everyone has faults and mine is high value resource guarding. I absolutely think Kleenex and treats are very valuable and don't want to give them up or share them. I have been working on it with a trainer and she can help you and me both. For those reasons I think small children are not a good match for my new home. I do enjoy activity like walking or playing ball but with my size I admit my endurance is low. I am curious and sometimes get distracted exploring new things. You know, I guess you could say I like to check out my surroundings. I have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated (including canine influenza) and am current on my heartworm/flea & tick preventatives. My adoption fee is 150.00. The first step in adopting me is to complete an application for me. You and me, we could be true friends and I would love you no matter what. Can you love me that much? Quick View: House Manners: Housebroken and knows doggie door. Basic Training: Knows basic obedience just will need time to connect with new owners. Will do best with a confident owner Other Dogs: I am best with the boy dogs because I like to be the queen of the house. Cats: I was in the dog trainers home with cats and done very well with indoor cats, both the type that interacted with me and the fuzzy one wanted to attack me. Kids: We do not foresee any issues with older well mannered kids being around Bella. Toddlers not suggested because she will steal food from them most likly.  Fencing: Not a known escape artist. Respect 5 ft fence.  Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption: We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information. We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womer after leaving our care.    Please submit a  Pre-Adoption Questionnaire by clicking the hyperlink if visible or visiting  Our Home Page to the application link  to show your interest in adoption. Only submit one app for any of our dogs, your app will be on file for at least 1 year. This questionnaire simply helps inform us if the dog you are interested in might match your families' dynamics based on what we have learned about that dog. All of our pets at True Friends Animal Rescue are featured on Our Home Page and can be accessed from our web listings, take a look as there may be more than one in our rescue that you like. if you don't find the information you are needing thru our websites, please submit an E-mail.    November 5, 2024, 5:14 pm

Story
Breed: Beagle, Terrier Mix  / Adoption fee is $150  / Sex: Male  / Age: Approximately 6 years old  / Weight: Approx. 35-42 pounds  Hi. My name is Cowboy, I am about six years old and I weigh almost forty pounds. I was surrendered to the rescue when my family was moving away and said they couldn't take me with them. I just don't understand that and was very confused at first. Now, I am over them and ready to move on with my life. I am a social boy, playful and loyal to my family. I talk a lot if someone comes around I don't know and I can sound quite fierce, despite my petite size. Actually I am a big chicken and will stand behind you or run to my crate, please don't tell anyone. I love toys, lots of them. I have always lived in a home with a fenced yard. I went to training classes and know all my basic obedience and how to walk with a harness on a leash. I like walks. I came to the rescue with two problems we have been working on, first I love food and treats. I should only weigh almost fourty pounds but it's hard for me to hold that weight because I will eat anything you give me! So they are watching how much food I eat and I am trying to get more exercise, did I say I love food and treats?  I have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (including influenza) and tested negative for heartworms. I tested positive for a tick borne illness after intake but the vet took care of me and it's no longer a concern but will cause me to test positive still (no treatment needed). My adoption fee is 150.00. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an adoption application for me, Cowboy. I could protect you and be your friend if you can do the same for me. Quick View: House Manners: Housebroken and knows doggie door. Basic Training: Knows basic obedience just will need time to connect with new owners. Other Dogs: I can handle dogs of all sizes large or small. I am playful with other dogs, but will also respect their space if they ask. Cats: I was in the dog trainers home with cats and done very well with indoor cats, both the type that interacted with me and the fuzzy one wanted to attack me. Kids: We do not foresee any issues with well mannered kids being around Cowboy Fencing: Not a known escape artist.
