Story
Meet Nyx: Nyx is a sweet, playful, and affectionate 2-year-old Silver Lab. She came to us from a reputable breeder in Northern SC, where her Chocolate Lab parents welcomed her as one of two Silver pups in their litter. Nyx loves fetch, running, and snuggling with her humans. Shes amazing with kids, including our three children under five, and gets along wonderfully with our playful 1-year-old cat. While shes great with confident, dominant dogs, she is a bit of a bully toward submissive ones. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, Nyx is well-behaved in the home; no counter surfing or chewing! She is unspayed as we prefer waiting 2-3 heat cycles for health reasons and will be ready for spaying after her upcoming third cycle. Nyx has been a beloved part of our family, but due to her behavior toward our submissive older dog she needs a home where she can behave safely. She's perfect w/ kids, cats, and confident dogs! Happy to give new owner Her Crate & Bowls

Story
Looking to rehome our 7 year old Black Lab. He’s a loyal & sweet dog, very active as most labs are but also a big cuddle bug. Unfortunately we are military and due to our upcoming orders we will not be able to bring him with us nor do we think he would be comfortable in the change of environment we are relocating to.

Story
Howdy to Zeus! He is a 13 year old male chiweenie. Very scared but is wanting to be loved. No kids as he can be a bit snarky. Okay with other dogs. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $265 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
