Story
Sewee has an amazing personality and temperament, but thrives as the only dog in the household, and a house with no toddlers. It breaks our heart, but Sewee has been struggling with the anxiety of a newborn and toddler children in the house. Our family has 4 dogs including Sewee so it’s difficult to make this decision, but it is the right one for him.We love Sewee and are happyto provide dog bed, harness, etc.Our #1 Priority is Sewee going to the right home that he deserves

Story
Sebastian or Bash is 8 years, he has been with us since puppyhood. Hes a red Merle, super fluffy and cuddly. He is very active, needing a fenced-in yard and space to run and play. True to a shepherd, he loves to chase and jump. He doesnt nip at our heels but will try to correct you if you run off or leave the herd which can result in nipping-like behavior in certain occasions. He plays rough and shakes toys or his bed and wants to play tug of war. Bash is very sweet and overly excitable but can be too rambunctious for kids or some adults. He takes his protector job very seriously and will bark at noises, or people around the house or at the door. He knows many tricks and learns quickly when prompted with treats. He does well on leash but will try to chase squirrels. He is fine with some dogs but does not like others- its not clear why. Bash would do best in a home with older kids or adults that can give him daily exercise, play and love and keep up with consistent training

Story
Hi, I’m Maxwell. Most people call me Max or Maxy though, and my foster family has nicknamed me Goob (short for Goober). I was almost euthanized in the shelter because I wasn’t feeling great and wouldn’t walk, but then the nice girls at BBAR found a foster for me and gave me a second chance. At first they thought I was a hospice foster and only had a few months to live - boy did I show them they were wrong! I went through some testing and it was confirmed that I do have hepatozoonosis (a super rare tick-borne disease) - unfortunately I’ll have it the rest of my life. But that doesn’t stop me from living! With a simple anti inflammatory regime, joint supplement food, and a patient & loving foster family that keeps me active at my pace - I actually went into remission! I feel great most days and enjoy being active, but do have an occasional flare up that makes me a little stiff & achy.   I LOVE kids & ‘my people’ - I’ve learned to LOVE walkies - I LOVE a snuggly couch with blankets - and who wouldn’t LOVE treats?! I know how to sit, give paw, come when called, and go in my crate when it’s time. I’m super smart, super sweet, super goofy, and a super good boy. Oh, and I’m potty trained! My mom says that I’m “dog friendly” with the right dog. I wouldn’t do well in a dog park (too overwhelming & scary), but I do really like to say hi to new friends on walks. I’d need a little bit of patience & time to feel safe in a home with another dog. My foster brother is submissive, chill & respects my boundaries when I’m not feeling well or just don’t want to play - and we get along GREAT (he’s my BFF ).  I am fully vetted, AKA I've had my yearly vaccines, monthly prevention, and have been neutered and microchipped. I also completed my heartworm treatment. If you’re looking for a goofy, smiley dog that’s low maintenance and enjoys slow walks, thrives on couch snuggles, loves his person, and is an all-around good boy - we might be a good match. Story
Meet Lox! This handsome wirehaired terrier mix is approximately 5-7 years old. He is full grown at about 45 pounds. He joined our rescue after we found him living on the streets with another dog (Bagel). Our team used a Lox Bagel from Ruby's Bagels to earn the dogs' trust and safely capture them - which is how they got their names! Lox was super nervous about people on the streets, but once captured, he completely changed. All he wanted was love and affection. This handsome boy is as easy going as can be. He loves snuggles on the couch. He is great on the leash. He is great with other dogs and cats. He is not destructive. He is potty trained. He is crate trained. He is quiet. Does it get any better??? Lox is now fully vetted (vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, up to date on prevention). He was sadly heartworm and Lyme positive, but has been going through the slow kill heartworm treatment. He will need a retest 9 months after his first test to recheck the status. Lox is ready to be adopted and bond with his forever family! Meet and greets and adoption trials available once your application is approved! Apply at: BridgeBetweenAnimalRescue.org/adopt

Story
Hi, I'm Willie! I was saved from a very rural shelter when I was a young puppy, where my life was on the line. Me and my brother made it out and into foster homes. We were so afraid of everyone and everything. My brother got adopted fast and has been thriving. I don't understand why I haven't been adopted. I'm a little more shy than him, but I have also made so much progress. I'm VERY VERY dog friendly and match everyone's play styles that I meet. I have also been good with cats and kids. Teeny kids might make me more nervous due to not knowing when I'm nervous, but older kids (8+) are awesome. I just turned one year old in my foster home. I am fully vetted and a healthy boy. Im crate, potty, and leash trained. I might take some time to warm up, but I will slowly and sneakily seek out couch or bed snuggles. I would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, loving and patient humans, and at least one other dog. Meet and greets and adoption trials are available. Apply at: BridgeBetweenAnimalRescue.org/adopt
