Story
Annie is a gentle and sweet American Foxhound. She was adopted last summer and her vet thinks that she is about 6 years old. She is great with young kids under 5 and older kids too. She loves cats and dogs (even senior small breed dogs) but she can be a bit cautious around dogs bigger than her. At some point in her life, she had a broken or fractured jaw so she has a bit of a snaggle tooth, but that just makes her more beautiful. She would love younger dogs in the home who will play with her. She is mostly potty trained but will sometimes still have accidents. She is a bit stubborn with training so we recommend someone with hound experience. She loves treats but hasn’t shown any interest in toys.

Story
Maple is 4 year old deeply affectionate, sensitive, and people-oriented dog who forms strong bonds with her person. She loves being close to her human, sleeping nearby, and sharing quiet companionship. She especially enjoys the beach, swimming, and spending time in nature, and does best in calm, predictable environments. She is house trained but can have accidents when anxious She sleeps well at night and settles nicely with her person and she is Up-to-date on veterinary care and currently on anxiety medication (fluoxetine) Maple would do best as: -An only dog -Calm, predictable household In multi-dog settings, Maple has shown situational resource guarding around her primary person and food in tight spaces. Rehoming Maple is a very difficult decision made solely to ensure her long-term safety and well-being. Changes in our household have made it clear that her needs would be better met in a quieter, single-dog environment where she can feel secure and relaxed.

Meet Sparky!  This sweet boy was left in a crate on the side of the road after being rehomed by his original owner.  Thankfully, someone found him and took him to safety. Despite being unsure about his new surroundings, he is such a happy and playful boy.    He is very friendly, loving and wonderful in the car.  From what we have found out from his original owner, he lived with other dogs, cats and kids. We will be testing him. Sparky is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines.  Please visit our website www.hfhelpnokillrescue.com and click on OUR DOGS to complete an application for Sparky. ##2551205##

Lucy is a very sweet and loving girl. She is around 5 years old. She loves people, kids especially and loves attention. She loves to run and play. One of her favorite things to do is play fetch with a tennis ball. She loves to cuddle on the couch and in the bed from time to time as well. She is a great family dog and she is very energetic. She needs a loving home, ideally with a big yard to run and play in. She would be a wonderful addition to anyone's family. We need to rehome her as my daughter has recently developed severe allergies due to her dander
