Story
Zemmi is a beautiful 7yr old mix. She's a huge lover. Tolerant of baths, nail trims, teeth brushing, taking medication, hugs/contact from small children, cats, fireworks. Big cuddle buddy, she loves to sleep on the bed with you. Zemmi loves the beach, hiking trails, and the dog park. She hates being in large bodies of water though. Adventures are fun but loafing on the couch is her most favorite place to be. She has been trained well but she does sensitivities... she is highly stressed with wood/tile/linoleum floors - carpet and rugs are best, has anxiety in cars, and does not care for yelling or crying - will go to her bed. Commands she knows: sit, down, stand, lay, paw, mat, out, easy, let's go, come, stay, back, home. She does have a thyroid disease where she's required to take daily meds. Her diet is Merrick Limited Ingredient Real Lamb & Sweet Potato. 1/2cup 2x a day. Her favorite treats are cheese, blueberries, banana, and broccoli. She loves to be chased and tug of war but has never played catch. Belly rubs are her favorite thing. She's not a big kisser but will sniff your hair and ears while nuzzling into your neck. Story
Willy, a one year-old neutered, 45 lbs, low energy, medium length coat, German Shepherd mix, is a playful, calm, silly, intelligent, and energetic pup who is current on vaccinations. As a puppy, he arrived at our rescue with his ears chewed by his mischievous brothers and sisters. Willy is a submissive sweetheart, always seeking your guidance and support, and relies on you for direction. With his loving and tender nature, he dreams of having a sibling who mirrors his kindness and gentleness. Regardless of the breed, he finds joy in playing with dogs and cherishes their companionship. He will gracefully withdraw from any game that becomes too intense until he feels at ease. If he wants your attention and needs some affection, he will roll over and expose his belly. Willy is an exceptional conversationalist, attentively providing suggestions and offering unwavering support. Anyone who can fulfill his desire for a delectable treat will instantly become his favorite. Though he may come across as reserved at first, his demeanor quickly changes as he becomes more sociable. His head swivels from side to side, showing his complete captivation whenever he hears an intriguing sound. Whatever you're doing, his wonderful sense of humor brings a smile to your face and adds a touch of lightness to the atmosphere. With his sociable nature, Willy is a dog who craves human companionship and will shower you with kisses and affection. Willy is a genuine lover, and he delights in cuddles. He prefers humans who display patience and are willing to invest time in building a connection with him. He knows sit, down, crate, come, off and HAPPY! He is cool with chilling at home or playing outside. He is truly one of the sweetest companions you will ever encounter, his kind gestures and gentle demeanor leaving a breathtaking impression. Story
Hey there, pals! The name's Calhoun, and let me tell ya, I'm the life of the party! 🎉 I may be a two- to three-year-old, 70-pound Shepherd, but don't let my size fool ya – I'm a big bundle of joy just waiting to find my forever home! 🐾 I've been hanging out in my foster home for a few months now, and let me tell ya, I've got the seal of approval from my foster dad! He's always raving about how sweet and loving I am, and let's not forget my impressive people skills – I can get along with any pup I meet! 🐶 I've got this knack for diffusing any tense situations with my goofy antics – whether it's rolling around, jumping over things, or wiggling my way into someone's space, I'm all about spreading those good vibes and showing everyone that life's meant to be enjoyed! 😄 Check out my personality in action: https://youtu.be/8S1E5XorCeA Sure, I may look a bit awkward sometimes with my long legs and silly behavior, but trust me, I'm as athletic as they come! I love zooming around and jumping for joy – it's like I've got springs in my paws! 🐾 And let me tell ya, my foster dad gets a kick out of watching me run – my joy is just contagious! 🏃‍♂️ But hey, I'm not just a goofball – I've got some serious house manners too! I'm crate-trained, walk like a champ on leash, and I'm all about those car rides. Plus, I adore kiddos – they're like my favorite playmates! 👶 I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can be a part of the family and go on all sorts of adventures together. Once we bond, I'll be your trusty sidekick – whether we're exploring the great outdoors or just cuddling up on the couch. And hey, I've got great recall, so you can bet I'll stick close by your side! 🌟 So, if you think I might be the perfect fit for your crew, don't hesitate to reach out to my adoption coordinator. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journeys through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge.
