Story
I am looking to rehome my dog Morgan to a home that has the time to be able to give him the attention and love he deserves. He is a higher energy dog and is good with most people and other dogs with slower introductions. He is good around toddlers if you have one. He is a good dog and house trained. He loves to play and jump around. He would be a great fit for a family that likes to play. He can be a little anxious around larger men but he hasn’t had any issues with myself or men in my family.

Story
Hello! This is Lycan a 6-year-old, purebred German Shepherd. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash without pulling. He is very gentle when taking treats from your hand. Lycan has a moderate energy level and usually needs about three days to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, his incredibly friendly and loyal. He has experience being around cats, female dogs, and small children he is familiar with. Lycan is truly a wonderful dog, but unfortunately my work schedule has increased, and I no longer able to give him the life and attention he deserves.

Story
Thor is a purebred German Shepherd with papers. He is 5 years old, weighs approximately 101 pounds, and is full of energy. Thor is very active, walking and running the land regularly. He has a beautiful. He is a well-trained and well-behaved male dog who knows basic commands such as sit and stay, and he listens very well. Thor has a wonderful temperament and is truly a sweetheart. He has been part of our family since our children were infants and has always been gentle and trustworthy with them. As our lives have become increasingly busy, with more travel for both work and pleasure than in previous years, we feel we can no longer give Thor the amount of time, attention, and engagement he truly deserves. This decision is not easy, but it comes from a place of love and wanting what is best for him. We are hoping to find Thor a home where he will have more time, activity, and companionship—ideally with someone who understands the needs of an energetic German Shepard.

Story
Phoebe is Sponsored By Brenda & Dr Patrick SpensleyHi… I’m Phoebe! 🐾I might not be the first one to run up and say hello—but please don’t mistake my quiet nature for a lack of love. I’m a beautiful German Shepherd girl with a gentle heart; I just like to take a little time to feel safe. New people and new places can make me shy at first, so I may watch you from a distance, learning who you are and whether I can trust you.But if you give me patience… oh, I promise it’s worth it.Once I know you’re kind, my walls come down. The shy girl fades, and something wonderful takes her place. I become curious, brave, and adventurous—ready to explore the world by your side. Walks turn into mini adventures, and every new smell feels like a story waiting to be told. And when the exploring is done, I’ll follow you from room to room, rest my head against your leg, and before you know it, I’ll be curled up beside you, snuggled as close as I can get. I have a special talent for cuddling—deep, soulful, “this is my person” kind of cuddling. When I love, I love with my whole heart.I’m loyal, sensitive, and quietly devoted. I don’t need a loud or rushed life—just someone who understands that trust is something we build together. If you’re looking for a best friend who will blossom with your love and share both cozy nights and gentle adventures, I might be your girl.I may start shy…but once I choose you, I’m yours forever. 💕If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. What my friends at OHS say about me:I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you.I have lived with another large dog and cats in my last home.I know some basic cues, such as sit, shake, and down.Get your throwing arm ready! I would love to play fetch with you as much as we can. Choo Choo! Bandit express comin' through! I can pull like a freight train on leash, so I'll need support from my forever family to work on my leash manners.Escape Artist: I have a history of escaping doors or fences. I will need supervision when outdoors and when we go on adventures together - on leash of course!Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. The type of home I'm looking for:It could be with you!
