Story
Ruby is a sweet, attentive dog. She loves us and we love her, but cannot provide her with the exercise and mental stimulation she needs. The Humane Society told us she is 5. I don't think so, I'm thinking 2 or 3 years old. She loves kids. She is very gentle. BUT she chases our cat and we just can't have that. She chases her in the house and outside. She is gentle and loving and follows us everywhere. But we are just not enough for her. She has no job. Going out to the recycle bin is not a job, but she goes. She is very smart and learns quickly. Ruby has an incredibly soft and shiny coat. She would make someone a wonderful pet if they had the time and consistency to be her human.She knows lots of words - the names for all her toys, dinner, "where's Dad?", outside, kennel, sit and wait, etc. She knows to sit, come, and unfortunately NO! She doesn't beg. Doesn't particularly like people food. Training is hard because she doesn't respond to food rewards. She tires of "good dog!" and pats.

He is a black and tan pure-bred German shepherd dog with a big personality and a lot of love to give. Leo is affectionate, playful, and very attached to his people. He enjoys spending time with his family, going for walks, and being included in whatever is going on. He is smart and responds well to structure, consistency, and positive attention. We are looking for a loving, responsible home where Leo can receive the time, attention, and companionship he deserves. This is a very difficult decision for our family, and our priority is finding someone who will treat Leo as a member of the family and give him a safe, stable, and loving home for the rest of his life. Rex has been neutered, has his shots up to date and is chipped. He is 20 mo and is pure love and puppy in dog form. He absolutely lives for playtime and has the happiest, most playful spirit whether playing with toys or running around outside chasing hummingbirds or flies. : )Rex is a sweet dog and gets along with both humans and pets. He can get overly excited and want to play, nibble and find things to chew when not exercised.He has not perfected his all his behaviors so he needs someone who can spend some quality training time with him on this. He does know sit, lay down, wait, off, come, here, leave it and what Ahh Ahh, okay is.Rex needs a loving home that can finish training, exercise and socialize him. He is a ball of energy and lives to run.Please don’t apply if you don’t have a large fenced area, can’t spend quality time, train or socialize him. Shirley is a 2 year old altered female german shepard mix with a black and brown coat. notes from the foster:   Shirley is a very sweet dog who is also very shy and takes a while to warm up to people.  After living with her foster for eight months, Shirley is more relaxed, frequently wagging her tail, and finally confident enough to come in the house to get out of her sunbathing routine.  She walks well on a leash but occasionally startles at noisy cars going buy. While she does notice cats and squirrels, she is easily distracted to continue her walk.  Shirley would love to find another dog to play with. She tries to engage her foster brother GSD, but he is more of a sniffy dog than a good playmate.  I believe Shirley would do well with older children. She will need someone who is very patient and can continue to work with her on her basic commands like “Come” and “Sit”. Patience will be the key to winning her over as it may take time for this traumatized girl to learn to trust and love again.  Shirely has only had an accident in the house when left locked inside for too long. She’s good in the car and at the Vet’s office. Even though she may be afraid or anxious with new people she has never growled, bared her teeth or attempted to bite her foster mother.  ##2499007##
