Story
Valor is super loving German Shepherd puppy in his teenage phase! He is social, sweet and very personable. Valor was found as a stray in California and a kind rescuer picked him up and kept him from going to the shelter. - Fenced yard please - 75lbs and estimated to be 1 year old - Medium length, beautiful fluffy fur. You will love this guy's fringe! - Great with other dogs - No cats - Loves the water! - Crates readily and sleeps in his crate at night - Knows "sit" "down" "shake" and is food motivated to train with you further - Has a nice "off switch" and will settle in the home - Medium - high energy. Typical Shepherd puppy. - Goofy, loveable, soft temperament - Valor does struggle with leash reactivity when seeing other dogs. He has been working 2 - 3 times per week on full day outings in the community with Hailey of Totally Epic Dog Training in Milwaukie. She really adores Valor and is happy to be a resource and continue working with Valor post adoption. We are looking for an adopter who values enrolling in a training class to help Valor be his very best adult self. We believe with these large breed young dogs, that training is essential to help them succeed. Valor is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. Adoption fee waived to help Valor find a good home. His adoption includes two free sessions with Valor and his wonderful trainer Hailey to help him transition to his new home. Fostered in Oregon City, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Johnny is a big puppy - like big, and still thinks he's a little puppy; which means he's a bit of a handful at times. But, he absolutely loves to be around people and desperately wants to play with other dogs - his size and enthusiasm just make it important that he play with the right dog. That said, his 74 lb 6 foot frame didn't inhibit him from having a great time playing with an 11 lb Chiweenie and the two of them had a fantastic time.Johnny will turn anything into a toy, including ropes, buckets, rawhide bones - you name it.If you are a dog lover, and patient person willing to give him lots of positive praise, support and pets, I promise - Johnny will love you forever, and with every ounce of his very, very big heart. He even gives hugs.Visit this link to apply: form.jotform.us/60136667457159   ##1493838##

Story
This handsome boy has a rough past. If he could talk he would be sure to tell you his sad story of what his previous life entailed, however he prefers to look forward and not worry too much about the past. He is very cautious with new things and he has every right to be that way. He tends to find new men to be scary, and most new situations are scary. He loves to get treats and hugs. This guy is going to need a lot of reassurance from his new family. They will need to work on building his skills outside of the home. All he really knows is being locked in a crate. He does not seem to mind dogs that are smaller than him, however dogs that are larger than him are not an option for him. He walks very well on a leash, and enjoys spending time in his pool. He loves to do tricks for food. He would make a great companion if you are looking for a dog that just wants to hang out and let him be the guy that he is. If you are interested in meeting him, we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. Once you have an approved application no file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet him. His adoption fee will be $300 that includes him being current on all his vaccinations, treated for fleas, treated for worms, and neutered. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgNovember 27, 2023, 3:56 pm

Story
My name is Macaroon! I am cute and adorable, like a macaroon ✨ I came into the shelter as a stray, so my pals here don't know too much about my past. They say that I am a sweet, loving girl with lots of energy to burn. Since I am such a young gal, I would really LOVE to go to some positive reinforcement training classes so that I can grow into a well mannered girly. But what my new family should know is that adopting a young, high energy pup like me is a serious commitment that adopters should be prepared to invest time and energy into. We will be a part of the family for years and many possible behavior difficulties can be prevented with positive reinforcement, socialization, and patience. If you are ready for that commitment, ask to speak to an adoption counselor about me! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 20.6875 Age: 0yrs 0mths 12wks
