Rex’s basic info:Breed: German ShepardColor: Tan/brown/black/fawnAge: 18 moSize: LargeWeight: +/ 84 lbsSex: MaleCrate-trainedChippedNeeds booster in AugHe has not been neutered, will be in August. Rex is 18 mo and is pure love and puppy in dog form. He absolutely lives for playtime and has the happiest, most playful spirit whether playing with toys or running around outside chasing hummingbirds or flies. : )Rex is a sweet dog and gets along with both humans and pets. He can get overly excited and want to play, nibble and find things to chew when not exercised. He has not perfected his all his behaviors so he needs someone who can spend some quality training time with him on this. He does know sit, lay down, wait, off, come, here, and what okay is. Rex needs a loving home that can finish training & exercise him, he is a ball of energy and lives to run.Having a large fence yard and second pet is preferred. If you feel he and this fits you, please apply.

Story
Ruby is a sweet, attentive dog. She loves us and we love her, but cannot provide her with the exercise and mental stimulation she needs. The Humane Society told us she is 5. I don't think so, I'm thinking 2 or 3 years old. She loves kids. She is very gentle. BUT she chases our cat and we just can't have that. She chases her in the house and outside. She runs at the fence to scare the goat next door and runs at the fence around the chicken yard. She is gentle and loving and follows us everywhere. But we are just not enough for her. She has no job. Going out to the recycle bin is not a job, but she goes. She is very smart and learns quickly. She knows lots of words - the names for all her toys, dinner, "where's Dad?", outside, kennel, sit and wait, etc. She knows to sit, come, and unfortunately NO! She doesn't beg. Doesn't particularly like people food. Training is hard because she doesn't respond to food rewards. She tires of "good dog!" and pets.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Vanna. Vanna is an approximately 4-year-old, spayed and vaccinated German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She’s playful, affectionate, and very much a “velcro dog” who loves being close to her people. Once she bonds with you, she’s happiest by your side, whether you’re relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure. Vanna has medium energy levels and would thrive in an active home. She loves playing fetch and going for walks, and she’s great in the car, making her a fun companion for outings. At home, she’s been trusted to free roam and isn’t destructive at all she just wants to be near her favorite humans. When it comes to other animals, Vanna is best suited as the only dog in the home. She can be playful with very well-matched dogs (generally larger dogs around 90 lbs or more) as long as there are no resources to guard or compete over, and she’s good at picking up cues when another dog is done playing. She’s not a fan of smaller dogs and can sometimes be reactive on leash depending on how other dogs behave toward her, so continued leash work and training will be important. The good news? She does great with dog-savvy cats! Vanna is reserved with strangers at first but remains friendly and warms up with time. She hasn’t been around kids yet, but she may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries. She currently doesn't have stairs where she lives, but will likely have no issues with them and settles nicely into a home routine. Like many dogs who’ve been through a lot, Vanna is still working through some challenges. She has experienced significant trauma and is actively working on negative behaviors around other dogs. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people, will need continued support with leash manners, and is still polishing up her potty training with the occasional accident. Vanna is also crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has so much potential to continue growing. Vanna is a loyal, loving companion who just needs the right home…one that can give her structure, reassurance, and plenty of affection. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will stick by your side through it all, Vanna may be your perfect match! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Meet Susu Sunshine, a total sweetheart with the most beautiful big brown eyes, adorable floppy shepherd ears, and a smile that can brighten even the cloudiest day. One look at this gorgeous girl and it’s impossible not to fall in love. She has a gentle, loving presence and a way of looking at you that makes you feel like the most important person in the world. We think this gorgeous girl is around 2 years old and possibly a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, but what we know for sure is that she is absolutely obsessed with her people. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be your best friend, adventure buddy, cuddle partner, and biggest fan all rolled into one, Susu Sunshine might just be your perfect match. Watch her video here!! https://youtu.be/zcGEPt6lYLQ?si=LARJ_s1A1xdc6kwK This sweet girl lives for affection. Booty scratches? Amazing. Belly rubs? Even better. Kind words and attention? She’s all in. She’ll happily wander over and politely ask for love, then melt right into your hands with the sweetest smile. She met a teenager and was completely smitten, soaking up every bit of affection she could get. Susu Sunshine is also one smart cookie. She already knows sit and down, is very treat motivated, and loves learning. She walks beautifully on leash, rarely pulls, and has not shown leash reactivity, making her a wonderful companion for neighborhood walks, trips to the park, farmers markets, or outdoor adventures. While she enjoys being around other dogs, she’s not looking for a chaotic puppy party. Susu Sunshine prefers respectful canine friends and does best with calm, playful male dogs who understand personal space. She’ll absolutely let another dog know if they’re being too pushy, but she’s very fair and appropriate with her corrections. Once a dog backs off, she’s ready to move on. She’s shown some adorable play bows, zoomies, and curiosity toward dog friends, but she’s just as happy focusing on her humans. Because she’s so people-oriented, she’d also be perfectly content as your one and only dog. This beautiful girl would thrive with an active family who enjoys hiking, exploring, camping, road trips, or simply including their dog in everyday life. She could even do well in an apartment as long as she receives the exercise, enrichment, and quality time she craves. Susu Sunshine has all the ingredients of an incredible companion: intelligence, loyalty, affection, good manners, and just enough goofy sweetness to keep you smiling every day. She’s ready to find the family she’s been waiting for and love them with her whole heart. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
