Story
Looking to rehome our dog Lola. She is a great dog! Our home situation has changed and Lola deserves more of our time and a bigger yard! She is a shepherd mix, 50 lbs. Around 6 years old and still very active! She would be great living with another big dog. She is a great guard dog and has a big bark. She is great with our 18 month old baby. I am not able to walk her, she pulls and wants to bark and interact with everyone. She is reactive but not aggressive. She has never bit anyone. She does know how to sit and shake and could be trained if you gave her the time and consistency. She is house broken. She doesn't chew shoes or furniture, she loves chewing bones. Fetch is her favorite game and she will bring you the ball a hundred times.

Story
Freya is good with cats and dogs inside the home but she’s not good with them on the tv. She’s reactive on walks when she sees other dogs or if a person or dog comes into the home and she doesn’t know them. She is good a recalling, loves to play fetch, and loves cuddling. She loves anyone in the main household but needs an around 10minutes to warm up to new people. She’s never bitten anyone but has a loud and powerful bark. She doesn’t bark unless she’s triggered though. She’s good at playing with large and small dogs but their first introductions need to be leashed. She needs someone who has the time to train her. She’s not good on the leash and requires a gentle leader. Otherwise she’s very sweet and goofy. She’s a good guard dog and she’s good with kids too. She doesn’t like violence so if your kids fight physically she may bark and get triggered. She’s a great dog but she needs more work than I am capable of giving and I don’t have the money to hire a trainer for her.

Story
We pulled Graycie from Clackamas County Dog Services after her owner died and she landed at the shelter. Our board of directors who also volunteer each week at the shelter fell in love with Graycie more and more each week as they went to walk the shelter dogs. Graycie is a very sweet and loving older puppy! - Currently 40lbs at approximately 6 months old - Likely a German Shepherd/Pit Bull mix - Graycie looks serious in her current photos because they are from our Director who goes to the shelter to volunteer and Graycie was a little nervous in the shelter environment. She is a happy dog though! - Very social and happy to interact with people! - Fostered with other dogs and cats. We are still evaluating her with cats but thing she could be cat workable. We should know more over the coming week about her interactions with the two kitties she lives with. So far she has been respectful of them but curious. - Walks on leash without a ton of pulling, pretty moderate - Knows "sit" very well and is encouraged to greet people with a sit rather than jumping - Potty habits are good and she's learning to signal with a bell at the back door to the yard - Needs a little persuasion going into the crate but sleeps quietly in there at night once she's in - Loves her peanut butter Kong for crate time Graycie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $200 adoption fee Fostered in Milwaukie, Oregon Submit an adoption application on our website: www.agavedogs.org

Story
Jayda is a 1.5 year old purebred working-line German Shepherd that comes from a very loving home. She’s just a sweet dog that wants to play all day! Some of her favorite things include playing fetch, crunching on ice cubes (and chasing ice cubes if you throw them), being scratched on her sides (do a grabbing motion with your hand and she’ll come running), being sprayed with the outdoor water hose, chewing on yummy beef bones, and will never turn down snacking on any dog-safe fruits and veggies she’s offered!Jayda gets along very well with other animals because she grew up with her current family’s small-breed dog as well as a house cat, who she’s always very excited to see. Jayda is proficient in tricks including sit, lay down, give paw, touch (touches her nose to your hand), stay, and ‘be gentle’. She’s an extremely intelligent dog with the ability to learn and master tricks in very little time.Jayda is continuing to live with her original family until she goes to her new home!

Story
Roxy wants to live in the country where she has space to run and roam. She loves to be outside. We had to move from a country home to a smaller home and it doesn't seem fair to her. She has however adapted to the inside dog life as well. I have a very busy work schedule now and she spends a lot of time alone. That's the sad stuff. The good stuff is, she is AMAZING in every way. She follows commands, stays close to home, plays well with others and loves everyone. Roxy is a great protector and family dog. She had professional training as a puppy. I will only give her to someone who has the time and the space to make her life better than I can. I would love to see her to go a family who lives in the country and is looking for a well trained sweetheart. That is Roxy.

Story
Johnny is a big puppy - like big, and still thinks he's a little puppy; which means he's a bit of a handful at times. But, he absolutely loves to be around people and desperately wants to play with other dogs - his size and enthusiasm just make it important that he play with the right dog. That said, his 74 lb 6 foot frame didn't inhibit him from having a great time playing with an 11 lb Chiweenie and the two of them had a fantastic time.Johnny will turn anything into a toy, including ropes, buckets, rawhide bones - you name it.If you are a dog lover, and patient person willing to give him lots of positive praise, support and pets, I promise - Johnny will love you forever, and with every ounce of his very, very big heart. He even gives hugs.Visit this link to apply: form.jotform.us/60136667457159   ##1493838##
