Story
Meet Brutus, He came to us with his best friend Maggie. These two do everything together and are very bonded. They had a family but sadly their owner passed away and so Brutus and Maggie found themselves looking for a place to call home. Brutus is a big sweet boy--he's 9 years old and weighs 100 pounds. He likes to be brushed and is treat motivated. We were informed that he is house trained but have not put that to the test. He does know ''sit'' and ''come'' but only if you have a treat to bribe him with. Due to his size he looks a bit intimidating at first but don't let that fool you, he is a big sweetheart! We can't wait to find him and Maggie a place they can call home again.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.September 27, 2023, 11:43 am

Story
Meet Maggie, this gorgeous 9 year old, 80 pound girl came to us with another German Shepherd named Brutus who is her best friend. They both had a family but sadly their owner passed away and so Maggie and Brutus were brought to Charming Pet Rescue. We were informed they are house trained but have not put that to the test. Maggie is such a sweet girl, she loves being brushed and getting attention. When you offer her a treat she takes it from your hand so gently! Maggie knows ''sit'' and ''come'' but also just tends to follow whatever Brutus does. They really are the cutest pair! We can't wait to find them a family to call their own again.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Meet Sasha, the irresistible Shep mix who will steal your heart! She loves snuggling with her foster mom and eagerly awaits belly rubs. Although she's still learning to be housebroken, she's a quick learner. Exciting news for potential adopters in Houston and the Pacific Northwest! We offer transportation all the way from Houston to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, with a special stop in Bellingham, WA for our Canadian adopters. Distance is no longer a barrier to bringing Sasha into your home. Ready to make Sasha a part of your family? Visit www.springbranchrescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Don't miss the chance to welcome this lovable furball into your life. Sasha is waiting to meet you and shower you with love! Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1798797##

Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Story
Meet Daisha, a remarkable and resilient canine who has overcome unimaginable hardships. At just two years and six months old, this gentle soul weighs around 50 pounds. It's hard to fathom that behind those innocent eyes lies a dog with a heart full of love and impeccable behavior. Daisha's timid and submissive nature is a clear indication of the mistreatment she endured in her past. It took two whole days to capture her, as she had become an expert at crawling into corners and hiding in tight spots. On the day she was found, the weather was dreadful - with pouring rain and a bone-chilling temperature of 34°. Despite her physical discomfort, she limped through busy streets, desperately searching for shelter. It seemed as though she had recently given birth to puppies, but sadly, there were no little ones by her side. Today, Daisha has blossomed into a cuddly companion, finding solace in the warmth of human presence. She adores spending time with babies and little dogs, showcasing her nurturing side. However, her experiences on the streets have made her a bit more assertive around larger dogs. Nevertheless, she is playful and enjoys snuggling up on the couch, often falling into deep slumber due to her low energy levels. Daisha's impeccable leash manners and her adorable habit of greeting you with her paw demonstrate her eagerness to please. She has also mastered a few impressive tricks! For those interested in adopting Daisha, transportation is available every two weeks. And if you're a Canadian adopter, you can even meet her in Bellingham, WA.
