Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Blake, the magnificent almost 3-year-old, 74lb Great Pyrenees at St. Frances Farm sanctuary in SC. With her striking beauty and typical breed traits, Blake is on the hunt for a meaningful job and acreage to explore. While she wouldn't mind the occasional puppachino treat, her heart lies in fulfilling her ancestral duty of guarding livestock and putting her skills to use.  Off the leash, Blake is a wonder to watch as she gracefully roams the property, freely exploring her surroundings. Initially, she was shy and unsocialized when she arrived at the sanctuary with her sister, but thanks to the dedicated staff's efforts, Blake has blossomed into a more confident and affectionate dog.    Though she may be wary of strangers at first, earning her trust will grant you a loyal and loving companion for life. Blake yearns for a forever home where she can run, roam, and be surrounded by the beauty of nature. If you have a farm or ample space that needs a furry guardian, Blake is ready to send you her impressive resume. She's a pro at interviews, and with your love and care, she will thrive and live her best life as the regal Great Pyrenees she was born to be.   Blake is currently housed at St. Francis Farm in Carlisle, South Carolina. Her adoption fee is $300.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 6:37 pm

Story
I have been fostering Norman for the last two months. He came to me from a family that had some hardships and had to move across the country. It was an extremely emotional decision for them. My intent was to keep him but he really needs a family. His optimal situation will be a dog who can sleep inside at night but that isn't a requirement. If he can't come in at night he needs a large fenced in area that he can't escape from. Great Pyrenees are extremely smart and will find weak spots in fences that aren't sturdy. Norm is a great dog and absolutely loves people. He gets along with most dogs. The types of dogs he seems to not do well with are aggressive dogs and large dogs. I have never seen him react badly to dogs that approach him with good intentions. I inherited Norman with an ear infection which he has seen a vet for a month ago and will need more meds for that soon.

Story
PENNSYLVANIA: Everyone wants to add more love and joy to their lives – well, we found the missing LINC-oln for that! Young Lincoln is a happy, good-looking pup who enjoys all kinds of activities, but what makes him happiest is being by your side! His foster says: “Lincoln is one factastic boy! He is super sweet and loves every moment of every day!” Lincoln is only about 2 years old and weighs an elegant 80 lbs, with his best days ahead of him! Sadly, he was found tied to the fence of a NYC public shelter, but even then Lincoln maintained his “pawsitive vibe” energy and has since been patiently waiting for his furever home. Lincoln is a loyal friend who will love his future family not only unconditionally, but also passionately with his zest for life! Lincoln does have a higher energy level, but he is easily entertained and could run after a simple ball all day. An active home with daily exercise or a fenced in yard would be best for this handsome boy. Lincoln loves car rides, other dogs, hiking, and swimming! No matter what breed he is, Lincoln sure is easy on the eyes; we speculate he may have some Anatolian Shepherd or Great Pyrenees in him – but with such a love for the water, you would think he is part fish! Lincoln is available for adoption and comes neutered, house-trained, up to date on shots, and micro chipped. Lincoln gets along and has been living with other dog(s) and does OK around kids. Lincoln bonds very deeply with his people and because of his eagerness to please, he was a star student in obedience training. He has learned so much with his foster and he is now ready for his furever family. Lincoln wants to do anything to make his person/people happy; he truly has so much love to give. Can Lincoln give that love to you? To meet this one-of-a-kind guy, apply to adopt Lincoln at AmsterDog.org or contact 917-689-8414 (texts ok) for more information. Lincoln is waiting for you! Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Adoption donation $499 weight  84 lbs Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024          Logan is a friendly and sweet boy whose father was a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom was a 35 lbs mixed breed. Logan loves to run and play, he is good with all the dogs in his foster home and he is house trained, but like any rescue  may need some training and patience while he settles in at a new home.       Logan loves toys and bones and attaches strongly to his person, he will follow his Foster Mom around and likes to lie at her feet. He also loves to lay his big head on your lap!           Logan’s original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors.        Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time.       Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for  Logan to find a loving home of his own. Logan  would love a yard to run around in or  another dog to play with. He has  been around children and has been fine with them, he just loves to be part of the family, All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast.
