Rayland is one cool dude! He's a 1 year old Great Pyrenees & Shepherd mix who gets along great with people and other dogs. He's a big boy weighing 87 pounds but he has very good manners. He lived with his sister but their owner could no longer care for them and surrendered them to a shelter. His sister was adopted and Long Road Rescue is looking for a great new forever home for him. He's a smart playful guy and walks really well on a leash. He'd love a new home with a fenced in backyard and an adopter who can give him the love he deserves. Pete is a loving and sensitive 2 year old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as his size! He bonds quickly with his people and absolutely loves affection. While Pete needs some time to adjust to new environments, a home with patient, caring people who can help him build confidence is exactly what he needs. Crates aren't his favorite, but he's made great progress in overcoming his fear. Pete is happy to spend time on his own, but he also enjoys the company of another large dog for guidance and some playtime, even though he doesn't always initiate play, just having another dog around makes him feel a bit more confident! His favorite thing, however, is simply being around people who love him. He likely didn't have much structure before coming to Rescue City, as he was severely emaciated and had likely spent most of his life outside :(. Lily is a six-year-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves lounging at the feet of people she loves, especially with a peanut butter Kong to snack on. When she's not being a couch potato, she enjoys agility training and walking in the woods and through town. Just don't be surprised if she decides to do six or seven somersaults in a row in the grass. Lily thrives in a chill environment where she can have her space and relax. She’s been trained with top-tier professionals and really 'locks in' during training sessions. She's a joy to work with. She also has lifetime access to training at the Upstate Canine Academy. For the right adopter, especially someone with experience around clever dogs, she’ll be an incredible companion. Adoption donation $525 weight 79 lbs Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024 Logan is a friendly and sweet boy who is the quintessential family dog, he adores children and just loves to be with his people. if you sit down, you will likely find his big head nestled on your lap. He loves toys and bones and is a very easy-going boy. Logan is 100% House trained. Logan definitely needs a yard, this boy loves to be outside! He doesn’t go far, if you call him, he will come right over to you. he is leash trained and if you have a big enough crate, he will go in there for naps. Logan’s father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom is a 35 lb mixed breed. His original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors. Wags was finally able to convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time. Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for Logan to find a loving home of his own. Logan got along well with most of the dogs at the rescue, although he’s definitely the alpha male and does not like to be challenged by another male. In his foster home in the northeast Logan lived with three females, including a puppy who jumped all over him, and he just wagged his tail. We’ve noticed that he does fine with small and medium dogs but tends to get more alpha with dogs his size. For that reason, we would prefer a home with dogs smaller than him or just a home where he can be the center of attention, he really just loves people so much. Logan has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a healthy boy who is ready to make a lucky family a loving companion.
