Story
I’m looking for loving, forever home for Max he is currently 3-month old Great Pyrenees puppy. This has been very difficult decision to make my only goal is for max to find the right family for him. A little bit about Max he is sweet, friendly, affectionate playful, and very smart. He loves people he loves children. Max enjoy playing in the backyard as soon as I got max I socialize him early taking him everywhere. So he get comfortable with people and max is currently learning basic routine. Like a puppy he has lots of energy and will need continue training as he grows up. I am looking for a family, who know this kind of breed who is experienced with this kind of breed. Because this kind of breed are loyal, loving, and a guardian to its family . I’m not experienced with this kind of breed. I work a lot and not home that much. My top priority is finding the perfect Home for Max I want to make sure he goes to someone who will treat him as a cherish member of their family.

Story
Patriot is the definition of a gentle soul. He is a  6 month old and 25 pound Great Pyrenees mix who is so loving, and happiest when he's curled up next to his favorite person. Despite his fluffy looks, he's convinced he's a lap dog and would happily spend hours soaking up cuddles or leaning against you for comfort. The world is still a little big for Patriot, and loud noises or unfamiliar situations can make him nervous at first. He's not the type to rush into meeting new people, but give him a little patience and he'll reward you with soft kisses, quiet affection, and loyalty. Every day his confidence grows a little more, and it's been a joy watching his playful, silly personality start to shine. Patriot loves short walks where he can stop to sniff every interesting scent, roll around in the grass, and explore at his own pace. He's house trained and crate trained, walks nice on leash, and gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, though he prefers calm introductions and respectful friends. His perfect home is one that understands that not every puppy is fearless as he gains more and more confience!  ##2773019##

Story
Tommy (formerly known as Tucker) :)  - 11months & 60lbs (as of 6/27), Pyr & Lab Mix, Neutered Estimated Full Grown Size Around 80lbs  This puppy is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Their Foster Parent Says: "We could go on and on about Tommy. He is such an incredibly affectionate, gentle, goofy puppy with massive golden retriever energy. He loves to cuddle on the couch while you watch TV, carrying toys around the house (especially ones that look like birds), chewing on bully sticks, and running around outside. One of our absolute favorite things about him is the way he leans his full weight into you when he's happy (which is basically all the time). It genuinely feels like a warm hug. He's still learning that the world can be safe but he adapts remarkably fast and is totally peaceful. Tommy absolutely thrives with structure, patience, and a chill environment, and he just really wants to connect with and please his people. The TLDR on Tommy is this: he's a deeply sweet, affable, curious, loving dog who just wants to find his forever home. He's going to grow up to become an incredible family dog and companion." Level of dog ownership experience required:INTERMEDIATE – As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Relevant puppy care experience is a huge plus, but bare minimum the adopter must have time and patience. Raising a puppy can be a lot of fun, but it’s also  tremendous work. Puppies’ personalities and exercise/stimulation requirements change dramatically between now and when they’re a year old as their bodies and brains develop, so an active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a pup’s evolving needs are a must. We strongly urge professional dog training with a rewards based trainer from the get go. Adults only or kids ages 8 and up – all puppies go through a mouthy, rambunctious phase and often accidentally hurt children when playing. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN BREED RESEARCH to make sure you have a better understanding of the kind of temperament and exercise requirements this dog may have as an adult. ENERGY LEVEL Medium-High - Tommy loves the outdoors and will benefit enormously from regular socializing, mental engagement, sniff walks and additional obedience training. TOLERANCE TO CITY Adjusting to the city - Tommy is remarkably resilient and adaptable. He still gets startled by loud noises and needs a little time to build confidence, but he's completely fine in bustling environments and continues to settle in more every day. POTTY TRAININGYes - needs patience for the first few days but he gets into the swing of things COMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERSSocial butterfly BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN (always requires adult supervision)Yes  - Aged 8 and older. He couldn't be friendlier. SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSYes – Good with most other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other caninesRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALS (cats, small pets, etc.)Yes -He currently lives peacefully with a giant Great Pyrenees. . MOUTHY BEHAVIOR Past this stage- requires ample opportunities to chew (toys, bully sticks, appropriate bones etc) SEPARATION ANXIETY  Past this stage -Completely fine being left home alone. He may cry for a few moments but if he has a chew/kong/frozen wet food in the crate with him, he's perfectly fine. He currently sleeps in his own room. . LEASH MANNERSGetting the hang of it, but improving everyday!CUDDLE BUG LEVELHigh – Wants to be in your lap pretty much all the time - Tommy is the ultimate cuddler. JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLOListens to correction - but will benefit from training. He's smart and incredibly eager to please.  CRATE TRAINING Yes - Now fully crate trained Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake. (For dogs under 4 months old, adopters will need to finish the DHPP vaccine series and administer the Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age.) How did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses.  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2746885##

Story
Creamy spent the first part of her life outside and on her own, wandering the streets while racking up animal control citations. Her owners finally surrendered her in a state of neglect — unkempt and starved for food and affection. After a few months in rescue, Creamy has transformed into a beautiful, fluffy girl who just wants to stay close to the people she loves. She greets everyone warmly, whether they’re new friends (strangers), children, dogs, cats. Most of her days are spent lazing around or taking leisurely strolls in the yard. Every now and then she'll have a burst of playful energy, but she's mostly just grateful to have a soft place to rest. Creamy is fostered in Glastonbury, CT, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet her. We can also bring her to NYC for meet and greets. To get the adoption process started, please send us an application at https://bit.ly/rosr-adopt-foster.
