Story
Meet Blue! 💙🐾 Blue is an absolutely stunning 11-month-old Husky with one icy blue eye and one warm brown — the kind of gaze that stops you in your tracks. His coat is thick, soft, and perfectly marked, and that smile? Completely contagious. He’s sweet, funny, and full of personality. Blue “talks” to you in that classic Husky way and has a goofy, playful charm that will keep you laughing. He’s super smart and picks up on new things quickly — crate trained, housebroken, and eager to please. Blue has a healthy amount of energy and would thrive with an active family who can give him some daily exercise or outdoor adventures. He’s friendly and does great with kids and other dogs, but would do best in a cat-free home since his instincts may lead him to chase them. Neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home — Blue is more than just gorgeous; he’s the whole package. ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com You can also visit our website Rpacirescue.org to fill out an adoption application

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Tundra! Tundra is 12 weeks old and weighs about 16 lbs. Tundra's mom is Aspen (also on the website) and she weighs about 32 lbs. Our best guess on this breed mix is Cattle Dog/Husky - (Just a Guess). Tundra is a sweet and playful puppy. He is shy at first, but warms up quickly. Tundra loves playing with the dogs in his foster home. He will need another young and confident dog in the home to help build his confidence. Tundra loves his toys and chasing his friends around the yard. He’s an adventurous guy - true to the husky in him. Tundra also loves to hear himself talk. We feel if Tundra is in a home with children, they should be kids aged 5 and up. Tundra requires an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue training—no exceptions. Tundra is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00 plus a $100.00 spay/neuter refundable deposit. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Good with kids,
Story
Here's what Atticus's current family shares about him: Atticus is a very sweet pup with energy and enthusiasm to spare! He loves to run and would make an excellent running/hiking partner. He also loves playing with other dogs that match his energy. Atticus is still young and still learning. We've been working hard with him on his manners (including basic obedience training and a 2 week doggie training camp) and he is improving week after week, but he would really thrive with owners who can devote time to work with him very regularly. We have two small children at home, and that has not been a great fit for Atticus. He is still learning boundaries, and while the children don't seem to phase him and he has never shown any aggression towards them, he doesn't seem to know his own size. Atticus LOVES playing with dogs, and has done very well at doggie daycare. We want to find Atticus a home where he can really get his energy out. He is a lot of fun and with attention and a bit more training, he would be a wonderful companion for the right family. Questions About this Animal? Story
Breed - husky mix Female Weight - 39 lbs Age: 1 year If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTAR/dog. For questions, email Lanihtar@gmail.com HOW TO MEET THIS Dog: This dog is in a foster home. To meet her, please complete the adoption questionnaire. LOCATION: Homeward Trails Adoption Center ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Lani B ADOPTION FEE: $475. This fee INCLUDES spay, vaccines, and microchip. Ask us about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, and other discounts! HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH: Dogs: Nori loves playing with other dogs but would prefer not to live with one as she does not enjoy sharing her stuff! Cats: We do not know how Nori is around cats, but if that information is needed, let us know. KIDS: Nori is good with kids but can be jumpy when excited. KNOWN CUES: Sit, Come, Down, Touch, Drop It. CRATING/HOUSETRAINING: Nori is reported to be housetrained. She can get stressed being left alone in her crate. KNOWN LIKES: Toys, food, playing, cuddles, chasing tennis balls. KNOWN DISLIKES: Nori can get stressed being by herself. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Nori is a gentle, devoted girl who simply loves being near her people. At bedtime, she happily sleeps in her doggie bed or on her cozy bear blanket in the bedroom. And if the door happens to be left open? You’ll find her curled up just outside, keeping watch on the landing. She’s a quiet little guardian who finds comfort just being close to her family. Nori thrives on routine and does wonderfully with structure. Her mornings start with an early walk, followed by breakfast and some playtime before she relaxes in her crate while her person is at work. She’s excellent in the crate and reliably holds her potty until she’s taken out. In fact, she’s so well-mannered that she isn’t destructive at all — no chewing, no getting into things, no mischief. She simply moves from spot to spot in the evening, settling wherever she feels most content. In the afternoons, Nori enjoys another fun walk, play session, or zoomies at the park before spending the rest of the evening socializing and relaxing with her people. She even gets to choose whether she wants to sleep in her crate or her bed — she’s an independent thinker with a gentle soul. Nori is also a dream companion on the go. She’s calm in the car (no motion sickness!), great on short or long rides, and the perfect buddy for running errands. She’ll only whine to let you know she needs a potty break — that’s it. She’s easy with grooming, patient with having her paws wiped, and always keeps herself (and her home) clean and pleasant. Nori is a loving, well-mannered, low-drama companion who would fit beautifully into a home that values connection, routine, and affection. She’s not just a good dog — she’s a little angel watching over her people. ________________________________________ HT ADOPTION INCLUDES: Spay/Neuter First three distemper vaccines, dewormings Microchip - lifetime registration with no fees -Current on heartworm preventative -Current on flea/tick preventative EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free physical exam with Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital, Union Veterinary Clinic, and Clarendon Animal Care within 30 days of adoption and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) within 14 days of adoption. - Best Paws Forward monthly training program - Free online workshop with a with Fur-Get Me Not (DC/Arlington/Alexandria only) - KEEP YOUR PET SAFE: Homeward Trails is proud to offer PetLink GPS trackers that will allow you to know where your pet is in real time.**Exclusive for HT Adopters (does not include subscription plan): $50 Check it out here: https://landing.petlink.net/gps-dog-tracker -------- A portion of EVERY ADOPTION fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities BE A FOSTER: Save a life: http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program.
