Story
My husband and I adopted Kahn and Serit 2 years ago in Cheyenne Wyoming. Kahn is 5. Serit is 4. We have recently moved to Virginia and Townhouse life is not suitable for them. They needs a place with a fenced yard for him to run and play in. Kahn loves to play fetch and will do so for hours. Would prefer them to be adapted together. However, will consider splitting them up to the right homes.

Then Lucky is ready to be your four-legged life coach. This young, striking husky mix is friendly, playful, and packed with personality. He’s great with people, gets along well with other dogs, and has that classic husky mix of energy. Lucky is smart, too—he already knows “sit” and “come” and is eager to learn more (especially if snacks are involved). He thrives in a home where he’ll get daily exercise, mental stimulation, and someone who knows that a tired husky is a good husky. A quick note: Lucky has a strong prey drive toward birds. So if you’ve got parakeets, backyard chickens, or dreams of peaceful birdwatching from your living room window… this may not be your guy.

Story
Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.handsome husky mix ISO love and central air! JOLLY RANCHER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!    Name:  Jolly Rancher        Best Guess for Breed:  Husky mix   Best Guess for Age:  4 years as of March 2025       SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   56 lbs   Gets Along With:  Jolly Rancher does well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with kids. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Jolly Rancher should not to a home with cats.    Currently Living at:  SC Rescue Campus   Special adoption considerations: Jolly Rancher is a truly Lucky Dog! He tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process.   Jolly Rancher is Looking For:   His forever home! This beautiful boy is eager to have his own humans for romps in parks and all the adventures he can dream up. He loves playing with other dogs, and wants to make pup pals along the way. He definitely has lots of energy to burn - that breed mix! - and he will thrive on ample physical activity and mental enrichment. Oh, and with that double coat of his - yeah, crank up the air conditioning when there isn't snow on the ground. Most of all, though, he wants to know where she belongs, who his people are. In exchange he promises to be the best buddy for world exploration - and adoring gazes with those gorgeous blue eyes. What do you say? Is Jolly Rancher the active companion you have been seeking? What My Foster Says About Me:   Coming soon!  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.
