After spending time in both the shelter and foster homes, we’ve learned a lot about what will help this handsome guy be successful in his next chapter.At heart, Mango is a loving, playful dog who enjoys being with his people. He loves attention, playtime, and getting out for exercise. Mango has done well with female dogs around his size and may enjoy sharing his home with a socially appropriate female canine companion. He is not a good match for cats or other small animals due to his prey drive.Mango is looking for a dog-experienced family that is excited to continue working on his training and give him the structure and consistency he needs. While in foster, we learned that Mango is still working on some important household skills, including housetraining, appropriate chewing, and keeping all four paws to himself during play! He will benefit from a consistent routine, frequent opportunities to potty outside, plenty of appropriate chew toys and enrichment, and thoughtful management when he cannot be supervised.Mango is also continuing to work on his leash skills. He is a strong guy who can pull when excited, so his future family should be comfortable handling an active Husky and using positive, reward-based training to help him continue building those skills.Because Mango can be sensitive and sometimes needs space, he is looking for a home with teens and adults rather than small children. A family familiar with Huskies or other active, intelligent breeds would be a wonderful fit.Mango isn’t looking for someone who expects perfection on day one. I got this goofy boy from Tacoma Humane 02/2023, he’ll be 4 years old December 27th of this year. I am looking for a home for him that has lots of love, attention, and a good budget for him! He is such a good dog and loves adventuring out in nature, chilling in the sun or laying out on his bed. He loves a good game of chase, tug of war, and can fetch short distances. He also loves chewing on bones and antlers, as well as a peanut butter/yogurt filled Kong/lick mat. He needs a new home due to my financial situation getting extremely dire and I cannot afford to care for him any longer. He has my heart and I just want what’s best for him, I need to work more hours at work and he does have separation anxiety so he deserves more attention and care! The fee is to ensure that he has a good home with people who are loving, caring, and financially stable!

Kodi is an 8 yo male Siberian Husky who we’re looking to re home. Kodi has been a great dog and this has been a difficult decision to make. We have a toddler and crawling infant and Kodi can get a little protective of his food. He always deserves way more attention than we can give him right now. Kodi loves being outside, hiking, or swimming. He can also just hang out at home and watch a movie. Kodi is completely potty trained with no accidents. Good with most other dogs and cats.
