I was once on the list at a city shelter, but kind humans gave me a second chance.When I was rescued, I had heartworm, but it was caught early and I finished my treatment like a champ 💪 Now I’m healthy and ready to start my real life—with you.I love people. I was rescued just before facing euthanasia at a shelter, and now I’m living at a training center, waiting for someone special to take me home. Since I spent much of my puppyhood in a shelter, I’ve still got a playful, curious side and a whole lot of energy. I love walks and adventures, and I get really excited to explore new places. Hi, I’m Rian 💛 I’m a 5-year-old boy, a Malamute–Husky mix, and I weigh about 23kg. I know… I look big and strong, maybe even a little cool. But if you get to know me, you’ll see—I’m actually just a big softie. I really, really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I might come right up to you like, “Hi… can we be friends?” I love being close to my person. Spending time together, making eye contact, sharing quiet moments… that’s what makes me feel safe and happy. Once I open my heart, I become very affectionate. I’ll want to stay near you, lean into you, and just be by your side as much as I can. I get along well with other dogs too! I have a gentle nature and enjoy playing, whether it’s with toys or with friends. I’m a bright, cheerful boy who just enjoys life and companionship. I was rescued from a place where my time was almost over… but I didn’t lose my trust in people. I still believe in love, and I’m still reaching out for it. I’m also a pretty quick learner! I came into rescue after a nice young man found me and my two littermates Milky Way and Airhead playing in a drainage ditch. He took us home to his family and they are fostering us until we find our forever homes. I am both house and crate trained. I walk well on a leash and love to be out and about. I would love to try my paw at some hiking! I am a husky and I am made for colder climates. It’s in my DNA. I am a super sweet boy. I like to play and snuggle. My foster family has done a great job socializing me. I love everyone I meet. I always have a smile on my face! Why not?! Life is grand. I am super handsome also. Did anyone mention that?
