Story
Penny was born in January 2025. She is a sweet dog. She is my daughter’s dog but she is no longer able to care for her. Penny is very active and needs an owner who will give her a lot of exercise and attention. Penny loves to play, run, and fetch. She has never been aggressive. She gets very excited around new people and sometimes nervous. She is good with older kids but has high energy and may knock over little kids. She does not get along with my cat. She has only ever been around him. Penny is potty trained, crate trained, and overall a good girl.

Story
Bandit is about 10 months old. He is super sweet and loves being loved (especially belly rubs). He likes being outside and can be stubborn about coming in if he isn't ready. Per my lease I am only allowed to have 2 dogs and somehow I have ended up with 4 of them. It was very hard to decide who would have to leave our family. Bandit just happens to be one of the 2 newest arrivals. I was going to have him neutered but because of unforseen circumstances, I cannot afford to do so. I will only let him go to a stable home where Bandit will be considered as part of the family. He needs training and as much attention as you are able to give. This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Whoever adopts him will love him. I have no doubt about that.Bandit has never been alone. He gets along well with all my other pets, including my cat. I think he would be much happier if you already have a dog that wants someone to play with.I have never seen or heard of him being aggressive to anyone.

Just astheir time was running out, a compassionate veterinarian stepped in, reaching out to NorthWestWag Rescue (NWW) for help. NWW rescued Baker and his siblings, giving them the chance tofind loving homes.  Just when everything seemed to be going well, in September 2025, Baker suddenly became very ill overnight. The boarding team in Chapala where he currently is, acted immediately and rushed him to the vet, but the initial evaluation showed that more specialized tests were urgently needed. He was quickly transferred to Guadalajara to be seen by our trusted veterinarian. After an ultrasound, Baker received a serious diagnosis: an intestinal intussusception, a life-threatening condition that required emergency surgery. At just 10 months old, Baker faced a complex operation. Thanks to the support of NWW, the surgery was able to take place in time—and it was successfully performed. Following surgery, Baker required months of special care, close medical monitoring, and a specialized diet. Throughout his recovery, he showed incredible resilience and strength. Today, Baker has fully recovered, is healthy and thriving, and continues to wait patiently for the loving forever home he truly deserves. Baker’s story is one of hope, teamwork, and second chances—and now, all he needs is a family to make his happy ending complete. Now, Baker is waiting in Mexico for his forever family to commit to taking him on a 10-day trial. His resilience and loving heart are a testament to his strength and spirit.Adoption InformationBaker’s adoption fee is $600.
