Story
Orvi (full name Orville) loves to be around people. As a 5 year old Husky Boxer mix he has many qualities. He can lay around all day or keep up with long walks and adventures. He can talk like a Husky if desired, but typically relies on gestures and expressions like a Boxer. After his primary owner became incapacitated, we are looking for a new home that can provide him the love he needs.

Story
Artemis is a stunning young husky/German Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a bright future ahead of her. This beautiful girl has already captured us with her sweet nature and soulful eyes — and she’s more than ready to find the loving home she deserves. She is housebroken and food motivated. She wants to be close to humans and ADORES other dogs. She is the ultimate pack follower and truly loves being part of the family. She is shy at first but still has a strong desire to be close to the humans. She will do best in a home with another playful dog (or more than 1!) and will need a calm and patient leader who will help her understand what is expected of her. She is housebroken and sleeps in a crate at night. Husky experience preferred. Husky education required.

Story
Hi there, my name is Sinjo and I`m ready for adoption!I was brought in when my previous owner was no longer able to take care of me.I weigh 106 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I can be an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home, but I can also be an independent dog who likes to do my own thing at times! My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
Hi, my name is Bruno and I`m available for adoption! I`m a 3yr 1mo old white male Siberian Husky/Labrador Retriever dog (ID #A745724). At 57lbs I`m considered a medium breed dog.I`m a silly, spunky and loving boy looking for my forever family! I`m currently in a foster home with a RASKC volunteer. I love going on long walks with volunteers and spending time exploring the world around me. I like playing with toys, tasty treats and running around in the yard! I have previously lived with cats.I can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience, kindness, and a few treats I warm up quickly and my sweet personality emerges! I would do best in a home with older children or teens.I am neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! I was nominated for Pet of the Week on June 2, 2026. This means that my adoption fee has been reduced! This adoption fee includes a King County pet license (if applicable). This helps my safe return home should I become lost, and comes with additional benefits such as Vacation Pet Alert, Free Ride Home and more (visit our pet licensing page for more info)! My new family can also benefit from enrolling me in Fetch Pet Insurance. Fetch offers the most comprehensive plan in North America with no restrictions on breed, age, or size. Together, RASKC and Fetch are making sure pets are happy and healthy in their new forever homes! If you are looking for a loving boy and walking buddy to add to your family, and are ready to fall in love with my pawesome self, please contact RASKC to learn how you can meet me! Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. A 30ish pound, 6-year-old female Super Mutt, Sheba arrived to Smidget pregnant. Having done a great job raising her pups, she’s now ready to bring dances of joy and lots of cuddles to her forever home. She is delighted to run with you, play ball, or lounge on the couch. She is loyal, eager to please, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Sheba’s energy levels are high and would be too much for a home with small children. In addition to normal barking, she will make a series of high-pitched noises when triggered by something such as a strange dog. Very smart and food-motivated, she responds well to training. New people are a challenge for her, and she will take some time—and treats—to warm up to them. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Story
He is 3 with hip dysplasia. He is good with dogs, hasn’t been around other animals. Knows come, sit, stay, leave it, release. And is confirmed with ‘yes’. Doesn’t jump on people. Safe for a child to stick their hand in his mouth. He tugs a bit when walking because we were going to sled him but not when we learned about his hips. He is neutered. He is not very vocal and will stop when told no. Except when he is being blown with a high velocity blower, he will whine.
