This sweet, sensitive pup is as lovable as they come. He’s a gentle soul with a playful side. His favorite activity is emptying his toy bin and scattering them around the house, especially his squishy blue squeaky pig.All husky and just finding his voice, he’s started to howl and loves games like hide-and-seek. Expect happy zoomies after breakfast and before bedtime!He’s still building confidence and will need a calm, patient home. Stairs and the outdoors can be a little scary, but he’s improving every day. He prefers gentle handling and feels safest with people he trusts. When unsure, he may retreat to a corner to decompress.He’s a bit of a Velcro pup but settles nicely on his own when he’s ready to rest.The basics:~90% pee pad trainedGreat eater (loves bananas, carrots, apples & pebble ice!)Dog-friendly and playfulComfortable around household noisesKnows “sit” and learning “calm”He thrives with positive reinforcement. He’ll need an active home that understands the needs of a husky-type dog and can provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation.He’s truly a special puppy! Sweet, expressive, and full of love!

Meet Ally. She is a 5 month old, 20 pound, medium energy, playful cuddle bug. She has husky in her but there are other parts that make her very different then a normal husky. She is a velcro dog, she wants to be with you always. She is observant and smart, she catches on to things very quickly but is not food motivated. She is good on a leash simply because she wants to follow you. She loves to cuddle and will fall asleep in your arms. She has one set of shots and the whole set will be given next week with her spay scheduled at that time. She is potty trained but is not perfect. She knows how to use the doggie door. Meet Benny. He is Allys' sister. He is a sweet gentle, playful cuddle bug just like his sister. He is also medium energy belying his non husky parts. He is more reserved than his sister and therefore takes a a time to warm up to new surroundings. He is good on a leash and has had no mistakes in his foster home. He has had one set of shots with the whole set of shots scheduled for next week. He will be scheduled to be neutered at that time. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. A 30ish pound, 6-year-old female Super Mutt, Sheba arrived to Smidget pregnant. Having done a great job raising her pups, she’s now ready to bring dances of joy and lots of cuddles to her forever home. She is delighted to run with you, play ball, or lounge on the couch. She is loyal, eager to please, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Sheba’s energy levels are high and would be too much for a home with small children. In addition to normal barking, she will make a series of high-pitched noises when triggered by something such as a strange dog. Very smart and food-motivated, she responds well to training. New people are a challenge for her, and she will take some time—and treats—to warm up to them. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies.
