I have odd eyes (yes, I know, they’re gorgeous 👀✨) and a fluffy body that’s made for hugs.My life didn’t start out easy. I was once on the list at a city shelter, but kind humans gave me a second chance.When I was rescued, I had heartworm, but it was caught early and I finished my treatment like a champ 💪 Now I’m healthy and ready to start my real life—with you.I love people. Like… really love them.I don’t care if we just met—I’ll happily come say hi, wag my tail, and ask for your attention. I adore gentle hands, affection, and being noticed. If you look at me, I’ll probably already be walking toward you 🥰I get along great with other dogs too! I enjoy having friends and exploring the world together.On walks, I can be a little curious (okay… very curious 👃), so sometimes I pull on the leash. I’m learning though! With patience and consistency, I promise I can get better.Because I spent a long time in a shelter, home life is new to me. I was rescued just before facing euthanasia at a shelter, and now I’m living at a training center, waiting for someone special to take me home. Since I spent much of my puppyhood in a shelter, I’ve still got a playful, curious side and a whole lot of energy. I love walks and adventures, and I get really excited to explore new places. But if you get to know me, you’ll see—I’m actually just a big softie. I really, really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I might come right up to you like, “Hi… can we be friends?” I love being close to my person. Spending time together, making eye contact, sharing quiet moments… that’s what makes me feel safe and happy. Once I open my heart, I become very affectionate. I’ll want to stay near you, lean into you, and just be by your side as much as I can. I get along well with other dogs too! I have a gentle nature and enjoy playing, whether it’s with toys or with friends. I’m a bright, cheerful boy who just enjoys life and companionship. I was rescued from a place where my time was almost over… but I didn’t lose my trust in people. I still believe in love, and I’m still reaching out for it. I’m also a pretty quick learner! My owner had a really hard time saying bye to me.My owner described me as goofy and playful. I am potty-trained and know a lot of commands like `come`, `sit`, `lay down`, `stay` back`, `leave it` and `heel`.I walk nicely on leash and never turn down a good roll in the grass!I am treat-motivated and eager to learn!I have had positive experiences with other dogs. As always, a slow introduction is recommended to ensure we start off on the right paw.I went to a wonderful foster home and they said this about me, `Leo likes taking rides in cars. He was quiet, nose out the window, and tail wagging the whole ride home. Leo was pretty calm around our dog. When he came inside and one of the cats were under the table he displayed non-reactive curiosity. He looked a minute and barked a few times. He did not chase until our dog chased the cat. Leo gave him the side eye but did not otherwise react. So he`s probably okay with cats.`I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
