Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Story
Meet Noodle Goblin, a six-year-old Akita with a stunning black-and-white coat and a personality packed with charm and just a touch of chaos. At 65 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of substantial and snuggle-adjacent. Noodle Goblin is potty trained, walks well on leash, loves snacks, and absolutely knows how to work a room — or at least work her way to the treat jar. She enjoys attention on her terms, mixing affectionate lean-ins with her classic independent, aloof flair.Noodle Goblin was recently rescued after being seen running loose for a couple of weeks, and she’ll need a home with secure, watchful confinement so she stays safe while exploring the world. She’s clever, curious, and loves a patient human who can keep her safely entertained, provide treats on demand, and celebrate all her quirky antics. With the right home, Noodle Goblin will be a hilarious, loyal, and unforgettable companion — snacks and silliness included. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.

Story
Buster is a wonderful puppy, but not the right fit for our family. We have an older dog, smaller, that gets a long very well with Buster, is having a hard time with a large energetic puppy. Buster currently attends puppy classes and is doing wonderfully, so he does get along with other dogs. When we adopted Buster, we were told he would be around 30-50 lbs. After a vet visit and having him for a month, we have learned that he will be closer to 80 pounds. We do not have the space for a large dog. He is the most adorable and friendly puppy. He is completely crate trained, still needs some work with potty training. This is not an easy decision for our family, we are incredibly sad to even have to put up this advertisement. But we know he could be happier in another home.
