Story
Hi there, I’m Candy! I’m a 2-year-old husky mix with a big smile, a bigger heart, and enough energy to keep up with even the most adventurous humans. I came from an Indigenous reservation in South Dakota, and now I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life with a forever family of my very own. I’m an active girl who loves to run, play, explore, and make new friends. People? Love them. Other dogs? Absolutely — the more the merrier. If you’re looking for a buddy to join you on hikes, jogs, or just fun everyday outings, I’m your girl. If you think we might be a perfect match, submit an adoption application online so we can meet in person. I can’t wait to wag my way into your life.

Story
If you're looking for a best friend who loves both adventures and lazy afternoons, Snow might just be your perfect match. This handsome 3-year-old Siberian Husky has a gorgeous all-white coat, a gentle heart, and an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to have around. Whether you're heading out for a hike, taking a road trip, or simply relaxing on the couch, Snow is happy to be by your side.Snow is independent in true husky fashion, but he has a sweet, affectionate side too. He loves stopping by for a quick cuddle before doing his own thing, and if he'd like a little extra attention, he'll gently place a paw on you or treat you to a little husky "talk." He's the kind of dog who enjoys being with his people without needing to be the center of attention every minute.Snow is house-trained, healthy, and has settled beautifully into foster care. After a few days of decompressing, he found his footing and now enjoys playing with his foster canine sibling. He gets along well with other dogs, has done great living with cats, and has been friendly with children. Because he's a strong, playful boy who sometimes likes to wrestle with his humans, he'd do best with older kids who can enjoy his playful nature. His energy level is moderate, making him a wonderful companion for an active family without needing constant exercise. He loves leisurely walks, dog park adventures, car rides, and exploring new places, but he's just as happy curling up for a long nap afterward. Snow isn't interested in toys or tennis balls, but he loves chewing on sturdy chews, never says no to a piece of string cheese, and absolutely enjoys being brushed. Bath time is met with quiet acceptance, followed by a few dramatic full-body shakes.Like any self-respecting husky, Snow thinks cool weather is the best weather. Summer heat isn't his favorite, and on warm days he may need a little encouragement to head outside. Once the temperatures drop, though, he's in his element.Snow is comfortable relaxing while his family is away and doesn't appear to have separation anxiety. As with any dog, he shouldn't be left alone for long stretches, since boredom can lead to a little mischief. Because Snow is a husky, he'll need a securely fenced yard with at least a 4-foot fence and a family committed to keeping him safe.Snow is the kind of dog who makes everyday life a little sweeter. He's happy to join you on your next adventure, then come home and nap at your feet. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle spirit, a touch of husky sass, and lots of love to give, Snow is ready to meet you.If you are interested in Snow, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Mabel is a big ol' sweet heart of a dog. Very affectionate and loving, great with kids and other dogs and animals. She is energetic and thrives when walked or she has space to run. She particularly loves going to the dog park and makes a wonderful companion. Unfortunately she was spayed too soon before we adopted he six years ago and she has issues wetting herself while laying down. This can occur as infrequently as 1 time a month or as often as 3-4 times a week. With our young daughter in the home it has become unsanitary for her encounter her occasional accidents. Aside from that she is a loving loyal dog great in every other way. Our family has had some bad employment related luck lately and we cannot continue to afford to care for her or explore options beyond medication to remedy the issue. We want nothing more than to see our girl go to a loving home where she can live the active outdoor filled life she deserves. She can sit, stay, lay down, and roll over on command.

Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)
