Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Alisa! She is a beautiful, blue eyed husky mix. Alisa LOVES other dogs and will need to be adopted into a home with another playful dog to help her build confidence. She takes good cues from other dogs and will match their play style. Alisa is also great with dog savvy cats. Her current foster home has two of them. One of them is her very best playmate, and they will chase each other around the house. The other is less fond of all of Alisa’s love, and she respects his space. On car rides, Alisa will quietly sit in the back seat and anxiously await her new adventure. She is very confident on a leash and non-reactive to people or other animals while out in the wild. Huskies are notorious “talkers” and Alisa definitely got this part of the Husky DNA. She also has the sweetest Husky howl when she is excited. Alisa is housebroken if kept on a schedule. She is also crate trained and will seek out her “home” when she is unsure or frightened. Like many rescue dogs, Alisa had a tough start. She is only now really able to be a puppy, and experience all the joys of living in a safe home. In this puppy stage, Alisa will find things to chew. She is usually good at gnawing on toys or bones, but occasionally, she will find a shoe or a set of expensive headphones. Because of this, her foster kennels Alisa when she is not home. Alisa has limited range of the house at night, but usually just quietly sleeps next to her dog friend on a bed in her foster's room. Alisa is very in tune to humans, and easily corrected. She is however, very afraid of them as well. Alisa needs a lot of space and a lot of time to build trust with her people. She is not a dog that can be touched or petted right away. It may take weeks or months for Alisa to gain enough trust in someone to seek touch from them. It is very important that whoever adopts Alisa understands that this will be a process, and she will likely never be a lap dog. Her joy at everything is infectious though, and watching Alisa discover new and exciting things more than makes up for this. Her approach to everything is definitely “kid at Disney World for the first time.” Because Alisa needs time and space to build confidence and connection, it is best that she does not go to a home with small children who might overwhelm her. Again, she will need some space and time to feel comfortable in her new place. Alisa is a proud graduate of Happy Tails K-9 “Adult Introduction, Socialization, and Obedience Course,” is UTD on vaccinations, and has been spayed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Meet Olivia – Your Adventure Buddy!Hi there, I’m Olivia! I’m a fun-loving, adventurous girl with the prettiest icy blue eyes (or so I’m told!). But I’m not just a pretty face—I’ve got the brains to match! I already know how to sit, shake, and lay down, and if you’ve got treats and love, I’m always excited to learn more.My favorite thing in the world? Being outside! Long walks, exploring new trails, and feeling the wind in my fur—yes, please! I’d love a human who enjoys the great outdoors as much as I do and will take me along for all kinds of adventures.I prefer to be the only dog in the home—I like having all the love and attention to myself! But don’t worry, I have plenty of love to give and will be the best adventure partner you could ask for. After a day of fun, I’m all about relaxing and snuggling up beside you. If you’re looking for a best friend who’s smart, sweet, and full of life, I think we’d make the perfect team.I’m also part of Warrior Dog Rescue’s Little Fighters program because I’ve had two seizures and take daily anti-seizure medication to stay healthy. But that doesn’t slow me down one bit—I’m ready for a lifetime of love and adventure! Come meet me—I can’t wait to start our journey together! 🐾💙--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Freya is about 1.5 years old. We honestly have grown to love her so much and losing her will hurt very much. We have had her since January. Unfortunately, my landlord is unwilling to let us keep a 2nd pet and moving is not really feasible for me at this time. The other issue is she is a high energy girl. Our current home does not have a fenced in yard and I work very long hours so she is definitely not getting the freedom she desires or needs throughout the week. Someone with a big back yard or a farm would be ideal for her. The adoption fee is to cover some of the vet fees I accrued from vaccinating her, getting her fixed, as well as, training class and is only a small fraction of what I spent. I am also willing to send along her crate and bed along with her. She really is a sweet girl and has become such a good cuddler.
