Story
Who is going to be Pru's Forever Soft Place To Land? This Husky/Shepherd mix was born in March, 2024 and has so much love to give, it shines through in every photo. She loves to play with other dogs and is kid friendly. Here's a special requirement for her: She needs a home that will give her boundaries and continue to train her with kindness. "Listening" can be a bit challenging for Husky type dogs and Pru will check to see if you really mean that she should come the first time you ask, or does she get reminded 500 times. She just didn't have a human to show her the way before rescue so she thinks she might need to take a leadership roll from time to time. And she does a terrible job, just like most dogs would. However, she's super smart and has learned that making eye contact with her person results in a shower of love. She eats that stuff up. Pru weighs about 40 pounds and is a wonderful size: not too big, not too small.  But her smile is always HUGE! To apply for this magnificent pup, please go to our website at emotionalrescuedogs.org,  locate the dog's profile under Available Dogs and click the ADOPT button!  Let's make the magic happen! Pru needs a fenced yard where she can run and play, just to kind of re-do her puppy-hood when she was preoccupied with issues of her very survival. If you need a reason to smile and laugh every day, here's your girl! Apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org and let's bring more love to your life! ##2232931##

Story
Hello! My name is Taffy and I am a female, Alaskan Husky/Shepherd mix. I was found wandering on a dirt road in a rural area in Queretaro, Mexico wearing a collar and harness. Many efforts were made to find my owners but no one ever claimed me. I am very playful with other dogs of all sizes but I have not never been around cats. I love to steal shoes and hide them but I do not chew on them. I love toys, especially balls! I have a ton of energy, so I would be ideal for a very active person. I also know the commands, `No` and `Stop!`. Please submit an adoption application online so we can set up a playdate!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Alisa! She is a beautiful, blue eyed husky mix. Alisa LOVES other dogs and will need to be adopted into a home with another playful dog to help her build confidence. She takes good cues from other dogs and will match their play style. Alisa is also great with dog savvy cats. Her current foster home has two of them. One of them is her very best playmate, and they will chase each other around the house. The other is less fond of all of Alisa’s love, and she respects his space. On car rides, Alisa will quietly sit in the back seat and anxiously await her new adventure. She is very confident on a leash and non-reactive to people or other animals while out in the wild. Huskies are notorious “talkers” and Alisa definitely got this part of the Husky DNA. She also has the sweetest Husky howl when she is excited. Alisa is housebroken if kept on a schedule. She is also crate trained and will seek out her “home” when she is unsure or frightened. Like many rescue dogs, Alisa had a tough start. She is only now really able to be a puppy, and experience all the joys of living in a safe home. In this puppy stage, Alisa will find things to chew. She is usually good at gnawing on toys or bones, but occasionally, she will find a shoe or a set of expensive headphones. Because of this, her foster kennels Alisa when she is not home. Alisa has limited range of the house at night, but usually just quietly sleeps next to her dog friend on a bed in her foster's room. Alisa is very in tune to humans, and easily corrected. She is however, very afraid of them as well. Alisa needs a lot of space and a lot of time to build trust with her people. She is not a dog that can be touched or petted right away. It may take weeks or months for Alisa to gain enough trust in someone to seek touch from them. It is very important that whoever adopts Alisa understands that this will be a process, and she will likely never be a lap dog. Her joy at everything is infectious though, and watching Alisa discover new and exciting things more than makes up for this. Her approach to everything is definitely “kid at Disney World for the first time.” Because Alisa needs time and space to build confidence and connection, it is best that she does not go to a home with small children who might overwhelm her. Again, she will need some space and time to feel comfortable in her new place. Alisa is a proud graduate of Happy Tails K-9 “Adult Introduction, Socialization, and Obedience Course,” is UTD on vaccinations, and has been spayed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Hey! This is Mira, she is 4, she is the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet, super playful, energetic, and loving. She loves going on walks or running in a yard (I recommend a fence as she is mostly husky and will need room to run). She loves people and will have no problem warming up to you. Unlike many adult dogs, she still has that lovable puppy energy, loves playing, and at the end of the day she loves to sit down and cuddle with you. She is one of the best things to happen to me but due to many circumstances I have to rehome her. She has recently had all her shots updated including rabies. She is perfect for a family with kids, or someone who has time for her and some energy to play. She is used to walks, hikes, and runs, If you can’t run or walk a fenced in yard or a very long leash to give her room to play would be fine. I would like to add, since it didn’t give me an option, Mira is 37 lbs as of a month ago.
