I was recently rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter in California, in the nick of time. I am good with other dogs, love people and would make a wonderful companion for an active person, couple or family who loves to walk, hike or go on road trips! I get along great with everyone - and I weigh only 48 lbs. I'm the perfect size. I really dodged a bullet -- I was made urgent for lack of space at the shelter -- and I would love a chance to be adopted by an amazing person or people. Please email for an application. Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Their mom is a beautiful white Husky mix, and while we’re not sure who dad is, these pups definitely inherited the best traits — charm, curiosity, and sweetness.
