Medium ✨ Meet Nixie — Your New Adventure Buddy! ✨ Nixie is an adorable, fluffy Pomeranian/Husky mix (our best guess!) with a beautiful brown-and-white coat and a whole lot of personality packed into her petite 15–20 lbs. Don’t let her size fool you—this girl is energetic, spirited, and always ready for fun! 🌟 Personality & Play Style Nixie is a sweet, playful pup who loves to chase and wrestle with other friendly dogs. She would thrive in a home with a dog who enjoys active playtime and silly games. She’s been wonderful with the cats in her foster home—mostly ignoring them, but occasionally trying to initiate play. When they decline, she politely backs off. Nixie has also been great with the children in her foster home. She was a bit fearful at first, but after a few days of settling in, she became their loyal little buddy. 🏡 What She Needs Nixie is happiest when she’s busy, both mentally and physically. She’ll need: • An active dog friend or humans who can commit to lots of exercise and enrichment • A securely fenced yard for zoomies and energy-burning outdoor fun • A consistent potty routine—she’s making real progress and does well on a schedule • A cozy kennel—she settles nicely in her crate 🛁 Bonus Features She’s a pro at bath time… but also thinks running through mud puddles is the BEST. Nixie is an affectionate, joyful pup who will reward her future family with endless laughs, love, and adventure. Story

Leo is a purebred Siberian Husky who just turned 4! We have had him since he was a puppy, but lifestyle changes have come up, and he is not a dog that will be able to handle apartment living or shared walls well. He is a typical husky and can be very vocal. He must be leashed or fenced at all times, he cannot be trusted off leash. He is good with other dogs, and friendly with cats, though he likes to interact with them a lot! He is good with kids, but he has the typical high energy husky behavior so older kids, or supervision with smaller kids is best. He is crate trained and housebroken. He doesn’t love car rides, and tolerates baths but isn’t the biggest fan. He likes all sorts of toys and chews. He is extremely food motivated, and loves dog treats as well as carrot slices & blueberries at treats. He is on a specific taste of the wild brand food, and can have an upset stomach on other foods. History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Arlo is 10 weeks old and about 10 pounds. He is doing amazing with potty training and has been very successful being introduced to both my resident 65 pound pitbull as well as my other two fosters who are small breed, senior ladies. The resident cat gave him a little swat so he’s not so sure about her yet. So far, Arlo has been a pretty chill puppy. He likes to chew on bones and play with toys, but mostly follows me around the house. He’s very affectionate and loves being held. He protests a little when going in the crate but settles in nicely after a few minutes. As stated before, he’s doing amazing with potty training. He hasn’t had a single accident in the house and seems to already know to hold it until we go out. We always go outside as soon as he wakes up from a nap or about every two hours. Arlo is very treat motivated and has already picked up a lot from the other dogs. We’ve absolutely loved having him and his puppy antics. If you’re looking for a puppy… It doesn’t get much better than him!

Chuck is a super sweet and playful pup ready for whatever life throws at him! He absolutely loves to play with other dogs! He has yet to meet one he doesn’t like, though big dogs can be a little spooky at first! He does sometimes think cats should want to play just like dogs, so if they run he thinks they’re playing! He’s not aggressive towards them, but will take some continued training to redirect him from the cats! Once Chuck has his playtime and zoomies out, he’s ready to cuddle up and give his kisses. He loves being very close to his humans! Chuck has been doing amazing with potty training, but being a puppy it will still be a work in progress. With frequent breaks and a watchful eye, he’ll be a pro in no time! He does really great in a kennel too, sleeps all through the night and does great with naps in his kennel too. He only barks or cries when he’s too overstimulated to settle, but eventually he works it out. If you're looking for a total love bug who will entertain you and love you endlessly, Chuck’s your boy! He can’t wait to find his forever home and share his love with his new family!

A Note from the Foster: This guy is about the happiest that they come🤩 He pretty much has a permanent smile on his face 24/7 & wants to be involved in everything I do. He currently lives with my three resident dogs - ranging from 8 to 60lbs🐶 He gets along with all. Riggs especially has taken a liking to my two large dogs, who are about the same size as him. 👯‍♀️ Riggs wants to PLAY all the time, even when my two resident dogs are sleeping, he’s trying to get them to play. Riggs is fully potty trained & keeps his kennel clean.🧻 He sleeps in his kennel at night & spends time in here throughout the day while I am working as well. He will sometimes protest this for a minute or two, but then settles in & is quiet until I let him out. Occasionally you’ll hear his husky shine through & he’ll let out a good wolf-like howl🐺 This smiley boy also rides great in the car in his kennel & you’d never even know he was there🚗 While Riggs does get along great with dogs, he does have some resource guarding tendencies. This comes as not a huge surprise as he came to us from ND, where he likely had to fight to survive. This however does not define him. We’re working on getting him into a good routine of learning to love his kennel - as he needs to eat in here as well as be kenneled whenever there’s human food present as well.🍔 Riggs is the best boy & hopes to meet you soon❤️🐾
