History: 🍀 Double the Luck Alert! 🍀 Straight from North Dakota to Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue, Andrei and Sonia are ready to sham-rock their way into forever homes! 🌈✨ These spunky husky mix pups are equal parts mischief and magic — playful, adorable, and full of that classic husky personality we all love. Andrei and Sonia could just be your perfect shamrock sweethearts! 🍀🐾 A Note from the Foster:🍀 Andrei – Your Little Leprechaun Lad If you’ve been searching for your pot of gold, Andrei might just be waiting at the end of the rainbow. This handsome husky mix boy made his way to Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue from North Dakota, and he’s ready to sham-rock your world. Andrei is equal parts spunky explorer and cuddly charmer. He’s got that classic husky curiosity — always investigating, always ready for the next adventure — but he balances it with the sweetest little snuggles once playtime is over. His playful bounce and mischievous sparkle will keep you laughing, and his loyal heart will keep you smitten. He’s brave, bright, and just independent enough to show off that signature husky confidence — but he’ll happily trot right back to you for love and reassurance. Whether he’s chasing toys, romping with canine friends, or curling up after a day of fun, Andrei is pure puppy magic. Adopt this lucky lad and let the shenanigans begin. 🍀✨

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: This guy is about the happiest that they come🤩 He pretty much has a permanent smile on his face 24/7 & wants to be involved in everything I do. He currently lives with my three resident dogs - ranging from 8 to 60lbs🐶 He gets along with all. Riggs especially has taken a liking to my two large dogs, who are about the same size as him. 👯‍♀️ Riggs wants to PLAY all the time, even when my two resident dogs are sleeping, he’s trying to get them to play. Riggs is fully potty trained & keeps his kennel clean.🧻 He sleeps in his kennel at night & spends time in here throughout the day while I am working as well. He will sometimes protest this for a minute or two, but then settles in & is quiet until I let him out. Occasionally you’ll hear his husky shine through & he’ll let out a good wolf-like howl🐺 This smiley boy also rides great in the car in his kennel & you’d never even know he was there🚗 While Riggs does get along great with dogs, he does have some resource guarding tendencies. This comes as not a huge surprise as he came to us from ND, where he likely had to fight to survive. This however does not define him. We’re working on getting him into a good routine of learning to love his kennel - as he needs to eat in here as well as be kenneled whenever there’s human food present as well.🍔 Riggs is the best boy & hopes to meet you soon❤️🐾

Story
History: We recently helped a situation in Northern MN of two “sets” of husky mix families needing a second chance. They were at risk of being destroyed and rescue was needed urgently. They are extremely sweet kiddos who are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon! A Note from the Foster: 🐾 Hi. I’m Rita. Professional Mama. Professional Drama Queen. Future Best Friend. 💅🐺 Hello, humans. My name is Rita and I’m a 2-year-old husky/shepherd mix with a BIG personality, a bigger heart, and an impressive résumé. Recently, I raised 13 puppies (yes… THIRTEEN). I’m basically a single mom who ran a daycare, a snack bar, and a wrestling league all at the same time. I am now officially clocked out and ready for my next job: being someone’s spoiled, beloved forever dog. ✨ Important Rita Facts ✨ ✅ Potty trained (I’m a lady) ✅ Crate trained (I can do hard things) ✅ Good with other dogs (I’m a friendly coworker) ✅ Good with kids (tiny humans = excellent petting staff) ❓ Cats? I haven’t met one yet, but I’m pretty sure I’d try to make friends like I do with everyone else. 🗣️ I’m talkative… like, husky talkative If you’ve ever wanted a dog who communicates using howls, woo-woos, and emotional commentary, congratulations—you’ve found your soulmate. I will absolutely tell you about my day, your day, and the injustice of an empty treat jar. 🎾 My hobbies include: • Fetch (I am an athlete) • Chewing bones (self-care) • Being obsessed with pets and treats (my love language is “both”) • Watching rabbits and deer outside like I’m filming a nature documentary 🦌🐇 🏡 My dream home: I would LOVE a home with a fenced yard where I can safely roam, explore, zoom, and live my best off-leash fantasy. I’ve got energy to burn and a nose that needs to sniff everything. 🥹 My soft side I’m still working through a little separation anxiety after leaving my babies. I’m learning that I’m safe, loved, and that my humans always come back. I just need someone patient and kindwho can help me feel secure. 📚 My “learning era” I’m sweet and smart, but I could use someone who can keep helping me with obedience and boundaries… mostly because I have a small issue where I believe I am a 70-pound lap dog. Yes, I will try to jump into your arms or climb into your lap when I want attention. No, I do not see the problem. Yes, I will do it again. 💖 In conclusion: If you want a loyal, loving, hilarious, talkative best friend who is great with dogs and kids, loves fetch, and will happily snuggle you like a living weighted blanket… I’m your girl. Adopt me and let’s be obsessed with each other forever. Love, 🐾 Rita (retired super-mom, part-time lap dog, full-time good girl)

Story
History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! A Note from the Foster: Nice to meet you, my name is "Sweet Heart" I came all the way from Texas, where the start of my life was rough. Life wasn't always filled with cuddles, soft beds, or full food bowls. I may have had a rocky beginning, but that just means my heart is even bigger. I can't wait to see what life has in store for me - new friends, new adventures, and a forever kind of love. My foster family has been calling me "Pearl" - They told me the name Pearl means innocence & timeless beauty. They said it symbolizes me perfectly! 🤍 I'm a gorgeous Siberian Husky who is estimated to be around 2-3 years olds. As you might be able to tell, I am still underweight and have some hairloss on my body. I have made so much improvement with my health already. I have been learning the ropes of living in a home - I am working on potty training & am catching on quick. I have had a couple accidents here & there as I am still figuring out how to hint that I need to go outside. I'm a curious girl who tends to get into things when given the opportunity, I am still learning what is for me and what is not. I'm kennel trained! At times, I get opinionated about being stuck in my kennel when I would rather be hanging out with my foster family (My foster mom thinks no shared walls will be best for me! - Like a true husky, I tend to be very vocal) I sleep in my kennel without a sound throughout the night. I have been working hard on training! - I have a tendancy to want to jump on/hug people when I first meet them but have been learning to not jump! I have mastered "sit" & "kennel up" and am learning "down" and "come". I'm very smart and tend to learn quickly. I get very excited when there are treats present so keeping me focused on what I'm being asked can sometimes be challenging. I love making dog friends & have been loving having multiple foster siblings! I also have not met a person that I don't love (adults & kids!). I am always up for making new friends (unsure about cats at this time as huskies can tend to have a high prey drive!) I could play and wrestle with my foster sibings all day but I also enjoy cuddles on the couch, I prefer to be where my people are! Since I went so long without food I tend to get protective over it. I get my food and high value items in my kennel to prevent any resource gaurding. I have not shown any signs of resource gaurding with toys. I'm always up for an adventure! I am learning how to walk on a leash & have been catching on to walking nicely. I get excited to see other people and dogs on walks and will sometimes bark but am easily redirected by treats. I have a ton of energy and would do best in a home that can meet the physical and mental needs of a husky! Please do research on my breed to see if I might be the best fit for you! If you think you could give me the best life & think I would be a good fit, please apply to adopt me, you won't regret it! With Love, Pearl/Sweet Heart 🤍🐾

This darling husky mix traveled from North Dakota to Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue, and she’s ready to find her forever family. With her adorable sass and playful spirit, Sonia embodies that spirited husky charm. She’s confident, clever, and just a tiny bit dramatic in the most endearing way. She loves to romp, pounce, and show off her zoomies — but don’t be fooled, this festive little lass is also a world-class cuddle champion. Sonia has a big personality packed into one fluffy package. She’s curious about everything, eager to learn, and always ready to be part of the fun. After a good play session, she’s more than happy to snuggle up close and soak in all the affection. Bring this shamrock sweetheart home, and your days will be filled with laughter, love, and just the right amount of husky mischief. 🌈💚

Story
Fiona is a 1-year-old Husky/Lab mix with a sweet, sensitive heart. She may be shy at first, but once she decides you’re her person, she’ll be your Velcro shadow—following you from room to room, sitting at your feet and greeting you at the door with a huge smile and a wagging tail. She’s eager to please and already knows commands like sit, down, and off, with impressively good recall for such a young pup. She does okay in her crate for car rides, but does not use it at home otherwise.Fiona does well with other dogs and cats, having previously lived with them. She may need to warm up to them but then she's ready to play! She does not have much experience with kids. She loves walks, playtime, and chewing (durable toys and heavy-duty bones are her favorite, stuffed toys don’t stand a chance!). Because she tends to wander, a securely fenced yard will be required in her future home. Fiona has decided stairs are optional and would much rather launch herself dramatically off the top step into the yard. She “talks” and chatters throughout the day but saves her big voice for important announcements, like reminding you it’s time to go outside. She loves ear rubs, belly rubs, treats (a LOT), and giving enthusiastic kisses. She’s still polishing her leash manners (she has a little Husky pull!), and she can get excited and jumpy when happy — but she responds well to firm, consistent guidance and truly wants to do the right thing.Fiona would make a wonderful companion for an active family that enjoys the outdoors but also appreciates a loyal Velcro dog who just wants to be by your side.If you are interested in Fiona, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
