Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Name: Yuki Sex: Female Color: Isabella White Eye Color: Brown Birthday: 11/15/20 Weight: 49lbs Large Dog Friendly: Yes, good with new dogs she meets. Does best with male dogs. Small Dog Friendly: So far, she has been good with the few smaller dogs she has met on leash. Cat Friendly: NO - very high prey drive. Crate Trained: Very short periods of time, and only while we are home. Trusted to free roam when we’re not home, but our home is pretty much husky-proof. Has a history of harming herself when crated in her first foster home. Housebroken: Yes, she will let you know when she needs to go out. Energy Level: She has her calm times and long naps, and she also gets zoomies and loves to play rough a few times a day like most huskies. She loves walks and loves to be outside watching squirrels or bunnies in a fenced yard. Reaction to New People: Good with adults and older kids. Working on manners and socialization. Kid Friendly: Older, calmer kids are best for her. Smaller children make her nervous, especially if they get too close too fast. Training: She knows the basics; sits before getting her food dish and is pretty good at coming when called. Could use some better leash manners but has improved. She really wants to meet and play with other friendly dogs on walks. She would likely benefit from some socialization to gain confidence in new/public situations. Like most huskies, she is a runner, so caution by the doors and getting in and out of the car is needed. Grooming Needs: Normal husky coat brushing about once a week or so, more when blowing her coat. She does shed less than other huskies we’ve had, her fur is on the shorter side which helps. Does okay with baths but only needs that once or twice a year. Gets dirty while playing, but the dirt tends to fall off quickly – it’s a husky thing. Fence: Yuki would do best with at least a 4-foot-high fence, 6 feet would be better. She loves to be outside; rain or snow do not bother her much. She hasn’t tried to dig out lately but is a true husky escape artist so should be supervised even with a fence! Solo or Siblings: Yuki would do best with a male dog with lots of energy to match hers in play. Preferably male husky (or other high energy dog) around her age or younger. Once she got comfortable in her foster home, she started being less tolerant of female dogs in the home. We’ve been working on that. She could also do well as a solo dog, with lots of play and attention to get her energy out. From the Foster: Yuki is a sweet, furry little princess who loves attention and belly rubs. She has her relaxation times and has her zoomies and loves to play. She’s a bit shy and hesitant in new situations and would benefit from socialization and group training class. Like a typical husky, she loves to run, climb, jump etc, so may also benefit from joring or agility classes. She loves attention and belly rubs; she will lay on her back and paw at you or reach out to you for more if you stop. She is quite a talker, like many huskies are, and when the neighborhood dogs bark, she howls to join in. She is an all-around adventurous, loving, curious and goofy girl who may be shy and nervous at first, but who settles in fairly quickly to be her true husky self. She would love to have a more mature human or family to experience life with, and to help her learn to enjoy the world

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Name: Aero Sex: Male Color: Gray Eye Color: Brown Birthday: 1/2/2026 Weight: 11 lbs (and growing!) Large Dog Friendly: Yes Small Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Yes Crate Trained: Aero sleeps in his crate overnight and does great. He has been crated for short periods of time throughout the day and has done fine. Housebroken: He is doing great for his age! Like any young puppy, he’s still mastering his schedule, but he’s catching on fast and thrives with a consistent routine. Energy Level: Medium-High. Aero is the definition of "work hard, play hard!" As a young puppy, he tackles playtime with 100% effort before crashing for a deep puppy nap. Given his Husky heritage, he’ll likely grow into an active adult who would love a yard or a hiking buddy to keep his mind and body busy. Reaction to New People: Sensitive & Sweet. Aero is a "thinker" who takes a moment to assess new friends. He can be a bit shy initially and might retreat to his safe spot while he finds his brave face. However, the way to Aero’s heart is paved with patience and tasty treats! Once he realizes he’s safe, his cautious exterior melts away to reveal a total goofball who is well worth the wait. Kid Friendly: Aero is still a young puppy and would likely do well with respectful children. However, fast movements and loud activity can sometimes make him nervous, and he may need extra time and patience to warm up to younger children who are not yet dog-savvy. Training: Aero is a smart pup. He has learned to sit and touch. He is very food motivated and eager to learn. Grooming Needs: Aero has a beautiful, fluffy coat that requires regular brushing to keep him looking his best and prevent mats. It’s a great way to bond with him while keeping that puppy fur soft and tangle-free! Fence: Aero has really enjoyed having a fenced yard at his foster home where he can safely play and explore. As a young puppy, he could likely adjust to a tie-out setup with proper supervision and consistency. However, Aero should not be left outside alone, as he feels safest with his people nearby. Solo or Siblings: Aero is looking for a home with a confident, friendly canine sibling. Having a furry mentor helps him find his courage in new situations and shows him the ropes of being a brave, happy dog! From the Foster: Meet Aero, a pint-sized package of Husky energy! Aero experienced severe neglect and starvation early in life, but despite his difficult past, he has a loving spirit and a playful heart. He will likely stay on the smaller side for a husky or smaller, though Aero is convinced he’s a big tough guy! Aero absolutely loves playing with other dogs and never lets size differences slow him down. He jumps right into the action and wants to be part of whatever is going on. Like any typical puppy, Aero enjoys chewing on toys (and sometimes things he shouldn’t!) and burning off his playful energy. Once playtime is over, he’s happiest curled up in your lap soaking up cuddles and affection. Aero can be shy when meeting new people, and some strangers are a little scarier to him than others. He gains confidence by watching his dog friends interact and will often warm up more quickly when another confident dog is around to show him the ropes. Because of this, Aero would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help him continue building trust and navigating the world. With patience, love, and reassurance, Aero is blossoming into an amazing companion. He’s looking for a family who will give him the safe, happy life he deserves. Adoption Fee: $450.00 All dogs coming into Adopt a Husky Minnesota receive care tailored to their needs, including: Nose-to-tail exam with a partner veterinarian, Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella), 4DX test to check for heartworm or tick exposure, Fecal Analysis, Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative, Spay/Neuter prior to adoption, Microchip, and are evaluated for temperament and trainability.
