Story
Hi, I'm Mario! My favorite pass time activities include squirrel watching, chasing squirrels, going on walks to hunt squirrels and dreaming about squirrels. I'm told I'm very smart and learn new things quickly. While I seem perfect on the outside I've got a few issues I've been working on and could use some continued help with. I'm kind of awkward and goofy at times, but aren't we all? I love kids, especially the ones who like to play with me! I like to make friends with most other dogs, but I'm still learning what the appropriate way to meet them is. Cats.. why don't they want to play with me? I love a good routine, so if you think you are up for it I think we could be best friends! From the foster parents: Mario is a very sweet boy and smart too! He's a lab mix, but don't let the photos fool you; he is smaller than he looks weighing in around 45-50lbs. He's surprisingly very soft to pet and tends to shed a lot, but he doesn't mind being brushed. Mario was found wondering the streets in the city and taken in as a stray. When his previous owners never claimed him, Lucky Paws jumped in and rescued him. He's crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands like sit, shake, down and a few others. Mario is a submissive dog with his humans and doesn't like getting yelled at when being naughty. He tends to act out when he doesn't get enough attention according to his standards, however he doesn't act out when you stick to a good routine. He likes to talk (bark) a lot more than some people enjoy; especially if there's a squirrel, dog or mail man around. He needs a home with a fenced in yard, because he will run off if not on a leash or in a fenced in area. He loves kids, but would do best in a home with older kids who will not let him run out the front door when you're not looking. He has some anxiety issues and is a bit high strung.

Rufus is a real charmer who can't resist a good game of fetch or a brisk walk in the great outdoors. However, it's important to note that Rufus could benefit from some training. While he may lack a bit in the manners department, his eagerness to please makes him a quick learner. With the right guidance and positive reinforcement, Rufus is sure to become the well-behaved and obedient companion you've been looking for.One thing to keep in mind is that Rufus is not a fan of feline friends, so a cat-free environment would be best for him. Story
Snapshot of Trudy: Size? Full Size (40-60 pounds) Activity Level? I play hard and snuggle hard! Noise Level? I bark when I play! Good with Dogs? I would LOVE a playmate, but would also do fine on my own Good with Cats? I'm ok with dog-savvy cats Good with Kids? Great, but I do jump up! Good with Strangers? I love everyone! Potty Trained? I'm a Pro! Crate Trained? I do well in my crate! Shedding? I don't shed much. About Trudy: Hello! My name is Trudy and I am looking for my forever home! I weigh about 52 pounds and I just love toys, my humans, and the dogs that live with me! I am very good at going to my crate and I'm learning to mind my manners when it's dinner time! I am almost a pro with potty training, I just need to know what door to stand by so my humans can see that I need to go out. I like slow intros to new dogs, once they understand my boundaries we do just fine. I love kids, but since I'm still learning not to jump up when I see people, older children would be better for me. I am quite the cuddler and would love to snuggle while you're working or watching TV! I also love to go on long walks. I would do well with another pet or as the star of the show. I would LOVE to find my forever home and am looking forward to meeting you! Trudy is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age.
