Minimal About Ivory: Hi, my name is Ivory and I want to be your best friend! I'm about 6 months old, but I am already good at a lot of stuff. My foster parents tell me I'm the best puppy they've ever met. I am good at not pulling on my leash and practice everyday. When I'm on walks I get really excited when I see people or other animals. I love treats though, so I'm sure I'll learn quickly how to stay focused on my human. I am a gentle lover to people and playing with children is really fun. I give lots of little licks and love nibbles, so I am still learning to not give those to kids. I love people and dogs - playing with my foster dog sibling is really fun, and I do it quietly and walk away when I'm done. I know how to lay down to not overwhelm other dogs, and I always get tired before my foster sibling. I am VERY interested in cats and want to chase them and I'm still learning how to leave them alone. I listen when they hiss and swat me. I love snuggling up in my crate at night and if you give me something to chew on when I go into my crate during the day, I'm perfectly content. Breakfast and dinner are my FAVORITE. I sometimes try to eat my foster sibling's food, so now we eat at the same time, and I leave them alone. I never steal food off my families' plates or off the counter. I have had a couple of accidents inside the house on the bath mat, but for the most part I am very good at only going outside and never in my crate. My favorite toys are the ones I can gnaw on for hours or rip apart. I'm learning how to play with toys with other dogs and am very good at sharing toys. I am really flexible and so sweet and my ideal home would be one without cats (unless you spend time teaching me to leave them alone). I am a good learner and love treats. I already know how to come and sit! I would be a great addition to a home with other dogs or as a solo dog. I'm so excited to meet you! I am shy at first, but once I learn the layout of my home and come out of my shell, I love to play! I am teething right now, so chew toys and rope toys are my favorite (and shoes, but my foster parents don't let me chew them)! I get random bursts of energy and then love to lay around with my foster family. I enjoy going outside to sniff and explore my surroundings. I don't shed a lot right now, but that could change as the seasons do and I grow out of my puppy fur. I currently live with a lab puppy and older small dog. The lab and I play great! I leave the smaller dog alone because she doesn't like to play like I do. When I am around cats I am cautious, and don't play with them much but like to watch. I am also great with kids! I am shy when brought to new places or meeting new people. New people often call me "calm and "quiet, but my foster parents know that I can be spunky and occasionally bark when playing with friends. Overall, I am sweet and curious. I am fully crate trained, and go in when told "kennel, but I am still working on getting fully potty trained. My foster home uses bells and I learned those quick, but use them to go outside and hangout more than a signal I have to pee. If brought out often, I don't have accidents. I love food and am very food motivated. I will "sit on command, and especially for a treat! I would do great in a home with another dog my size (medium or large) who can keep up and wrestle with me. I would also love a yard to explore, or somebody that will take me out on walks often. I need somebody active that will be patient with me as I am teething and still learning to potty outside. Meet Blitz! This 9 month-old Labrador mix is an ultimate goofball and lover looking for his forever family! Blitz is looking for a home that will allow him to meet his energy needs while giving him a safe space to cuddle at the end of the day. While a young guy, he’s made tremendous strides since being in rescue and is eager to keep learning how to be a dog!Blitz adores being around other dogs and is always game to play. He is very excitable when meeting new dogs in public and wants everyone to be his friend! He’s great at picking up on dog’s cues and meeting them at their level when interacting. Blitz has not done well around the cats he’s met so far and it’s not recommended he is around them long-term. Due to his breed and age, his prey drive plays a factor when interacting with smaller critters!As far as kids go, he’s a bit more hesitant than he is with adults but does okay. We recommend a meet and greet prior to adopting to a home with children and continued training with child interactions.He’s been doing well with crate training and spending time alone. He’s been known to let out the occasional bark or howl, so a home with shared walls may not be ideal but is still possible. He’s been used to a fenced yard and it would be a major bonus if his forever home has one too! Blitz prefers a medium to high activity level and will appreciate it if he can utilize a fenced yard to let off some additional steam.Blitz is a very lovable guy who learns very quickly!
