Ace is a medium energy lab/pit mix. He walks great on a leash, and loves going on the shelter pack walks! He loves to cuddle and also play with his toys (preferably soft plastic spiky balls)! Ace came from a home with a small child that was his best friend in the whole world and would love to be a family dog again. Ace is a 4 year old, 60 lb, male, lab/pit mix. All pets that are adopted out of Animal Harbor are fully vetted. This means they are spayed/neutered and receive a Rabies, yearly vaccinations, preventatives for heartworms as well as flea/tick, and microchipped along with any additional vetting required to keep them healthy and happy. Dogs/puppies 6 months and above are all heartworm tested (and treated if needed). Animal Harbor is located in Middle TN, but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. He follows me everywhere in the house, and will cuddle if given the chance. He needs a fenced yard, because he loves to zoom, and recall isn't reliable. Outside he's very vigilant will bark at anything he hears or any people he sees. When inside, he will bark at people passing on the street a block away. He has been coached by Canine Coach, and is currently on anti-anxiety medications through MN Veterinary Behavior. He's so anxious, he can override sedation drugs meant to make a vet visit possible -- no one can touch him there. We had a home-visit vet out; she didn't touch him either, even after an hour of feeding him treats. He needs an experienced handler with a quiet house and fenced yard. He needs to be the only pet, with adults. He has nipped when startled.

Silas is a very sweet dog who is house trained, and crate trained. He walks well on a leash and is quite the little charmer. He will be a good fit for a variety of homes. Silas is currently fostered near Crystal Minnesota. Part of the adoption process is coming to meet at the dogs location.
