This girl was brought in with her mom and siblings. She is friendly but a bit shy at first. Once she knows you, she is a happy pup, ready to be your companion. Mimi, Sally and Magic are all siblings that were found and an abandoned house in the summer. They are considered bonded but can be separated however, if someone wanted to adopt two of them, I would suggest Mimi and Sally as they are the most bonded. Mimi is very curious and prefers the indoors more than the other two. She’s pretty calm and well behaved in the house, although they are all young dogs and like to get into things occasionally like tearing up dog blankets and towels if they can get their paws on them. They are all very highly motivated and can get pretty excited around mealtime. When they have been to pet's bar, people have commented how calm and well behaved they are however they can get pretty rowdy outside running and playing in the field, very sweet natured with good temperament. I would say they are for the most part house trained. There has been only one accident in the house from the three of them in three months, but they spend a lot of time outdoors. An adapter would need to know that they were definitely may need some close supervision in the house at first. Marshall and Ruby are a bonded pair. They have been together with their owner for a very long time. However, their beloved human has passed away, so they are in need of a new forever home. They can go separately. They need someone that can spend a lot of time with them. They are very affectionate and are always starved for attention, as their previous owner gave them all of his attention every day. They are both housebroken and do very well on a leash. She wants desperately to be a confident dog, and she is a confident dog with just her person. She is shy with anyone new and does best with a quiet household, preferably a single female that she can give her trust and her heart to. Rua is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained, though not a big fan of crates. She has separation anxiety and needs a very strong crate or a home that has nothing she can get into that would harm her. She's also capable of jumping over gates. She should have another confident dog in her home to learn from and she loves to play with other dogs as well as toys. She needs a fenced yard, minimum of 4ft as well because she can get spoked easily. She is such a sweet girl who spent her short life having puppies and now she's ready to have a home and love of her own. Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. Hi! I'm Gypsy! I'm a beautiful golden retriever mix, about 3 years old (born 10/2021). I'm at that perfect age – not a crazy puppy, but not a slowpoke senior either! I've had a bit of a bumpy start in life, moving between homes a few times. But I'm ready for my *forever* home, and I'm hoping you're the one! My sweet golden eyes are hoping to convince you that I'm the missing piece in your family. Because of my past, I do have some anxiety, especially when kenneled for long periods. But don't worry! I take a daily anxiety medication that helps me feel much better. It's super easy – just hide it in a pill pocket with my morning meal, and I gobble it right down! It's *very* important that I get this medication *every* single morning. It's not something I can take occasionally, and I shouldn't stop taking it suddenly. My foster mom strongly recommends I stay on it for life to help me feel safe and secure after my rough start. I'm a fun-loving girl! I adore playing with toys, kids, and most other dogs. I can be a little bossy with *some* female dogs, but I get along fine with most. Cats? I'm curious at first sniff, but then I usually just ignore them. I've been around cats in other foster homes and done well. I'm a fantastic car rider – I love watching the world go by! I'm also crate trained (I might whine a little when you leave, but I settle down quickly) and house trained. I'm the perfect blend of cuddly and playful.
